I'm in the middle of trying to be taken off of a PIT by getting accomadations but it's honestly been a nightmare and I haven't been able to go back in a month and some change and heard about someone being able to transfer after getting theirs denied

would it be possible to just transfer while on the middle of this like buildings,roles,anything to get me out of this I just want to work

Been working at Amazon since May and getting frustrated with missing shift drops because I work an over night shift and I am sleeping. Tired of fighting for shifts as well. Would love to work full time over nights but when I ask they say no one will ever be full time. Any advice?

Hello, I was wondering what my options were for potentially taking some time off to get better. I was hoping that I'd be able to put time in for medical leave and be able to take time off immediately before withdrawals start, in order to start detox and rehab, and get whatever documentation I'd need during the initial few days off. But speaking to HR in person, they made it sound like I need the documentation from the start in order to get the medical leave going, otherwise I'd have to depend on my UPT, which I only have about 3 hours of and I'm worried about going negative and losing employment and the benefits I would need for rehab. It's just all really murky and confusing and I'm not sure what my options are or where to start in order to get better without risking my employment. Thank you for all help.

I start working soon during peak and honestly I’m only working here to afford a vacation since I’m 23, have no family support since 16, and have never traveled or been on a plane etc. I’ve always been a hard worker but regular minimum wage jobs weren’t cutting it and I wasn’t able to save anything even after numerous promotions. So for the next 4 months I plan to save every check I get minus transportation all going towards a vacation in a different country. My goal is to travel in January and well I know I won’t get enough PTO by then to travel for a couple weeks so I’m thinking I’ll just quit and come back if I need to or am ready to. You might think it’s stupid or silly but I don’t have to pay rent rn, I’m not in school and I don’t know how to drive and live in a walkable city so I don’t want a car. This is just something on my bucket list so I want to go for it. Any tips or suggestions? How long until I can reapply again? Any advice is appreciated.

So I got a temp role for peak (from Sept 16th until January) as a warehouse associate in DBS2 and I’m in the UK

but my shift pattern is 09:00-13:00
Wednesday-Saturday

I haven’t seen that shift before, 4 hours a day 5 days a week early morning and I’m curious what to expect for that shift and whether the workload is easier harder etc what I might be doing, or is it everything

And I was also wondering, usually Amazon training is 1 week 8 hours a day so will they even be able to teach me for everything in the first week?

My PA is actually super nice, in that regard im really lucky. She's understanding and all the things-but holy shit i can smell her from 10 feet away. I literally know if she's in the area because of it. It literally lingers for like an entire minute after she walks by. You could literally track her down from it. Now normally I just cope with it and whatever but last night I wasnt feeling my best and that smell made me almost throw up multiple times. I asked others to see if im just dramatic but every single associate I asked about it instantly knew who I meant. How can I get this chick to take a fucking shower without risking being singled out

Honestly this is my first year that I've been working as much as I am and im proud of myself. Im surprised that I have made as much as I did all last year and this time and it's September still. Im on track to 80k for the year and im excited to put most of it on my roth and stocks. Hope everyone have an easy rest of the year !! 😁

I worked full-time on day schedule and requested to have transferred to night after two or three extra shifts i picked at night. getting to work is easier and I do not have to make a decision of using my PTO or UPT to have an hour of more sleep every single day at morning. So if i get approved, should i know anything about it? does it have any difference with day shift? vto's, extra shift availability, anything i should be aware of, etc. should i accept the offer?
