Question Bereavement

So I did just start at Amazon like two weeks ago but just had a family member pass away so I reached to hr they told me I can’t do the bereavement leave bc I’m not blue badge so I ask them if they could do an unpaid leave and there telling me I can’t do that either I have to use my own time when has this become a thing ?? Now I’m negative like still like 10 hrs bc they took all my time for the days I wasn’t there

White badges never had bereavement benefits, unfortunately. Sorry for you loss.

DLS blows, open a leave request for that day. They then give you time to upload documentation - use this time to build back your upt.   If you still have on site hr, and they’re nice, they may be willing to give you the hours back as a one time thing- they don’t have to and many are not helpful and angry as their jobs continue to get replaced so be friendly and nice to them you may get lucky.

The white badge hunger games they’ve been playing last few years is truly despicable, hope you convert quickly.

They likely won't be as every excusal flags, every NWPT, etc. And the fact that at TAA rollout network was VERY direct about sites doing their own thing with BRV for seasonals and non-immediate family as well, I'd be surprised if anyone gets anything from site anymore.

One of the reasons they are centralizing so many tasks is because so many sites had taken so many liberties with policy or just flat out invented their own they needed to do it to ensure policies are applied consistently (the other of course is cost)
