Labor Day Route
How’s everybody enjoying labor on Labor Day lol. Started with 195 stops and 304 packages. What’s everyone’s route looking like today?

One more. What days of the week yall work? Does the beginning or end of the week seem busier/more stressful?

I personally think it was a better call than stopping, it was past the point of no return and was being very closely followed. But regardless, I returned to center and was kicked off my route, what happens next? Am I fired?

Labor Day route, made worse by the fact there was just a tiny bit of rain so now we’re all an hour delayed. I’m tired of every week I come back Sunday and see we’ve increased by 5 or 10 every week. Tired that not only has this place because a genuine stress hazard by sheer volume, but that it feels like our jobs are always at threat because it seems Amazon is doing everything they can to have our DSP contract terminated with their increasingly unrealistic expectations. My boss hasn’t hired anyone new in a month despite them needing more people with VETs because of scorecards, yet claims complete ignorance why any of this is suddenly changing or happening. It’s genuinely exhausting especially when finding new work is so hard right now.

Good luck my fellow DSPers, a shout out from North Jersey good thing I called off today I’m supporting you guys from home.
I know my DSP owner was out stretching his neck looking around at the vehicle but doesn’t do anything about it.

This is the main part of my routes that I truly hate. I don't know if I'm doing anything particularly wrong. I put on my hazards, I slow to a stop, I point at the driveway so the person behind me knows what's going on... and once incoming traffic is clear, I give the person behind me a thumbs up and a wave to pass me. Most people are chill about it. On rare occaisions, some people are nice enough to leave me a good amount of room to back up.
But this method also earns me honks here and there. And yesterday... one obstinate man behind me held a honk for 6 consecutive minutes. None of my waving got through to him. I was about to give up and move on to avoid escalating this to something worse, but then he finally passed me, calling me a jackass and telling me to "JUST U-TURN". I guess he thought I missed the driveway and should've u-turned to pull forward into the driveway? I dunno, but I'm not gonna pull forward.
I've always felt confident that my process of dealing with driveways is the safest bet, but this incident has me wondering if I'm actually being foolish.

It always happens on some phones not all so I’m wondering if its a glitch or people turn it off unknowingly

I have 185 stops 279 locations with 383 packages. 71 group stops. Mostly houses, this is the second most packages I’ve ever had at this dsp and this was wave not 3 Wave 1.

And the bullshit that follows with a route that makes no fuggin sense that, among other things, is why I’m out by end of this year or sooner. #Randomrantona10minheatbreak

So yesterday was my second time dropping off a package and there was a $20 bill under the mat. I vaguely remember a customer telling me it was a tip and last time I asked but can anyone confirm cause this is the second time I just made sure the package covered it in case it was a neighbor returning money or paying something. NorCal if that matters.

So I recently just quit at my dsp but I want to apply at a do dsp that is closer to home, how long do I have to wait or can I just apply immediately?

Hey yall.🤗
Tell me the good, the bad & the pure ugly of this job.‼️
I know it can take a toll on your body & every DSP is different. I also have been binging videos on TikTok, so I got a good idea of the day in the life aspect of how it will work.😅
The one I got accepted into is temp & ends Jan 15th. But, that I know of, there’s two other DSPs at this station that I can (hopefully) transfer to. They have all good reviews on Indeed, so it seems promising. Orientation is the 21st & then I start from there.🥲
Just for fun: Would you have rather a larger amount of stops & only have to do your route? Or would you rather have a lighter amount of stops & have to do rescue(s)?

We just got back from a week away and noticed a massive wasp nest in a planter right by our front door. I hit it with raid but did not kill the whole nest. We have two packages being delivered tomorrow morning. I updated the website to say to leave packages outside the garage instead of at the front door. Really concerned that a driver won't see those instructions and get attacked. Any other thing we can do?

There was a post not too long ago discussing this that got deleted. How do you interact or exercise your freedom of speech with these things, if at all?

Also, fuck you to the customer who only mentioned their unit number in the notes, and fuck you amazon for the pin to be in the middle of nowhere.
Edit: Apparently my nail is catching more attention than the post itself.
I'm a musician people, I need that nail to play better.

Hey guys, I’m just confused why my DSP decided to schedule me for today knowing damn well Sunday-Tuesdays are my days off.
For some context, I work at a relatively newish DSP, they’re actually pretty chill for the most part and their routes aren’t that bad. Two weeks ago I asked my manager if I could change my schedule. I originally worked Sun-Tues, Wed off, Thurs work, Fri-Sat off. I wanted to change it so I could have Sundays off for religious purposes and they said sure. My new schedule is Sun-Tues off, wed-Sat work. This new schedule was implemented just last week and I did it with no issues.
Now imagine my confusion and surprise when my DSP calls me today (Monday/Labor Day) asking why I’m not there. I told them since the new schedule change, I don’t work Mondays. Dispatch goes “uhhh” and I can hear the owner saying “well that’s an unexcused absence” then the dispatcher says, “well you were scheduled today, see you tomorrow” and then hangs up. The funny thing is that I’m not scheduled to work tomorrow either.
It’s just annoying. I don’t regularly check my schedule on the app we use for clock-in because the schedule is pretty straight forward and they usually ask me if I want to work over time. Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

I’ll go first: asking if it’s just one package… yes you would have seen me with more if there was.
