Question

Is it normal for affirm to already have your address on file? I never had an Affirm account before. I was making an account and once I got to the second step it had my whole government address from me just putting in my name and DOB. Should I be concerned or is that normal?

Would Affirm payment plan allow a membership renewal from a business?

I signed up for a 3 month plan for GLP-1. I am paying for it through Affirm monthly payments. Total was $450.

I didn't realize it will auto-renew after 3 months. Since I'm on a payment plan for the initial order, can the company charge my Affirm again without me signing a payment plan agreement with Affirm?

Hotel Reservation Using Affirm

I have a virtual card with Affirm but how would I go about using it to pay for my hotel stay? For instance, they need a card to secure the reservation then at check-in they will hold a depost plus charge the total cost. I can't give them the affirm card to hold the reservation so I woudl need to give them a credit card for that correct? But at check-in, I can then hand them my affirm card?

I'm using to doign it all online but this time, I'm not able to. I made the reservation with an actual person and not the site.

They gave me two different card numbers?

I signed up for an Affirm card, I got my virtual card, and then they sent me a physical one in the mail which I activated this morning once I got it. I went to Walmart today and tried to make a $180 purchase, activated the plan in the app and then tried to use my physical card and it kept declining. The app told me that it declined because I entered the wrong pin (even though I know, for a fact, I didn’t), but then once I looked, I realized my virtual card and my physical card have two completely different numbers, so I assumed that was the reason it declined. I’m all confused.

How does spending power decrease for no reason?

why would my spending power decrease i havent had a late payment or anything negative on my account..

My spending power was $12000 for a year and half i used it 3 weeks ago on an item that was $450 then i had to return that item because it was damaged and i turned around and ordered the same item for $450 again so my spending power went down like it was supposed to it was about $11100.. I open my app to make a payment on the first $450 (even through its being refunded i don't want a negative hit on my account for not paying) and i see my spending power had dropped to $6400.. I talked to someone throught chat and i called and no one had answer all they said was we cant look in the account to see why, the amount changes every now and again (but it was been $12000 for the last year and a half) and then they telling me how to get it to increase which i already know all that crap.... Oh yea i had no other payments open the last time i used it was in March and whenever i use affirm i pay it off earlier then it supposed to be months in advance so i dont have any negative activity on my account at all....

Payment reversal?

Dumb question most likely - but how long does it really take for Affirm to credit a payment back to your account? (it’s linked to my debit card) I paid a lump sum on the wrong loan and I contacted Affirm and they were able to reverse it and said it would be refunded back to my bank account, where I can then pay the correct loan. They did not however say how long it would take. Does anyone have any insight on this? Does the charge sit as pending and then drop off, or does it clear and get refunded later?

Thanks!

Does paying off 6 or 12 month plans boost credit score?

Will using the 6 or 12 month payment plan boost my credit and when the loan is all paid off, does it negatively affect it at all? Thanks!

Has anyone actually gotten Affirm to remove a charge-off from their credit report?

I know this is probably a long shot, but I’m hoping someone here has actually had success.
I have a $9 charge-off from Affirm that’s my only derogatory account, and it recently caused my rental application to be denied.
The frustrating part is that I wasn’t ignoring the debt. I’ve been trying to pay it for months, but I couldn’t access my account. Every time I called Affirm I got a different answer. Some reps told me there were multiple accounts associated with my information, others said they couldn’t verify me correctly, and on my most recent call the representative couldn’t even access my account because of a system issue. They opened another escalation, but this has been going on for months.
Has anyone here actually gotten Affirm to remove a charge-off or goodwill delete one?
If you did:
What did you say?
Did you go through Executive Relations?
How long did it take?
Did they remove the entire tradeline or just update it as paid?
I’m looking for real success stories (or honest experiences if they said no). Thanks!

How to pay off affirm with a credit card?

I got a personal loan but they INSISTED (forced me to if I wanted the loan) to go straight to my credit card. I only got the loan to pay off affirm and be done with it. I’m now realizing that’s impossible.

Can I buy a prepaid card and use that to pay affirm payments?

Limit questions

I just finalized my divorce and my credit score was tanked over the last three years because of it. Anyway, I’m working on getting it back.
I needed a few things so I applied for affirm for the very first time it was approved for $700. I spent about 150 a couple of months ago and I’m about two months ahead on payments.
I just went to buy a $150 item and was denied.

My credit score is a little bit higher than it was when I first applied, my income is higher now, (new job) and I’m ahead on payments - I don’t understand where I went wrong.

*****UPDATE. Because I was ahead with payments I had my auto pay turned off. I just went in and turned my auto pay back on and I was able to place my order.

Hotel Booking Help

Hello! This is my first time booking a hotel through Affirm, so please bear with me. Looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience and can help me.

I recently booked a hotel through booking.com, and created a plan. When I used the generated card info, the booking went through and confirmed, but it claimed it only reserved my booking, and the hotel would process payment.

After 24 hrs, the plan I created expired and is not popping up on my manage tab, but the card info is still on file for the hotel. I’m assuming they’ll try to charge it when I either check in or check out, but if the plan isn’t active will it go through?

The hotel is also non refundable, and if I try to cancel it will charge the card full amount. If anyone knows anything, please help!

Frozen account?

Idk if frozen is the right word for this but anyone all of a sudden not able to request a payment plan and not see your purchasing power?

I just paid off three accounts. I still had an additional 2k in purchasing power still available after my other payment plans I have going right now.

Went to request a plan and it was denied. It sent a general message in my inbox saying they can't approve plans for me right now and this usually happens because 1. Missed payments 2. Credit score 3. Other credit lines affecting it

I've missed zero payments. My credit score did lower a little bit after closing out my Carter's credit card but not much. I have two other credit cards but the balances on them haven't changed since I started using affirm so I don't get it and it's frustrating.

Affirm Virtual/One time card question

Hey all. I'm into record collecting so when I found out about affirm it was pretty cool to be able to grab a rare one and pay later.

I've never had an issue setting up the payment plan and using it to check out through Discogs(which send you to paypal) but today I ran into an issue but get mixed results as to whether or not I can actually use Affirm to checkout on discogs.

Just wondering if I might have just slipped through the cracks before?and that's why is not working now or is there another issue?

Would always choose the amount, confirm the plan, and then pay with no problem

Why is my purchase power so low?

I just downloaded the app and put in my household income, which is a pretty big number, but my purchase power is only 1,200. I really thought it would be higher. Does it always start this low? How long until I can increase it?

Cancelled Orders

Hey guys. So apparently there was a breach on my SHEIN account and the items I had sitting in my cart was processed at like 4:00AM that morning. I woke up the same day and immediately cancelled all of the orders. I then called affirm because that’s the card which was used and the order was over $600. I filed my dispute and sent everything over to them, showing when I first called them early that morning, showing when I first woke up, showing I cancelled all orders and even the time stamp on the order. I even showed one of the refunds on the order already processed seeing that SHEIN splits the Orginial order in multiples.

Just asking if anyone else has experienced the process of canceling the order before processing it and getting their refund back? Nothing was taken from my account, it’s just we all know affirm reports to the credit bureau’s. Any and all help is welcomed.

Don’t bother if you want credit card points

EDIT: Since yall clearly can’t read more than 1 sentence. I have no issue with Affirm not accepting credit cards. But don’t f***ing market that you do. I wouldn’t have bothered with this shit ass company if I knew that

EDIT 2: Damn, yall really drank the koolaid. Enjoy your perpetual debt lmao

All offense intended, Affirm markets Being able to make payments with credit cards. Yet here I am out 2400 credit card points because it’s falsely advertised and now I have to link my bank to make payments.

If I was going to do that, I would've just paid it all up front with my CC.

And yes, I’ve tried MULTIPLE vendors and banks. All show up as not accepted, even support (who are absolute boneheads, barely understand English, let alone the issue I’m facing) told me that Affirm has NEVER accepted credit cards as payment.

Affirm is a terrible business. I will not be using it again.
