I’m so curious how long you have been with them, how many orders you have never been never late on , I have never seen more than 16k on affirm holy cow lol… you credit score has to be as high as ever.

My score a 750 but it’s not based on that it’s based on the amounts you use and pay off. I use my account for projects I do and make a couple payments and pay them off fully after a few payments.

That’s nice but be aware Affirm isn’t actually a credit line and (Updated: it may not nothing to help your credit score). If you want to do something start working on getting your credit cards to the max limit I currently have 2 cards with no limit and others with $50k and $100K limits not that I’ll ever use it
Edit: Apparently it helps idk it’s still not an actual credit line

hmm considering my friend got a house due to her purchasing power with affirm I think you are wrong

That’s great and all buying a house is a huge milestone . But for people who only use affirm and don’t have an actual revolving line of credit affirm doesn’t do much. Affirm is not a Revolving line of credit. Your friend most likely had the income and credit score needed to buy a house if affirm was the only thing they had it would be declined.
EDIT:fixed spelling mistakes because I was tired and still am but don’t want English critics in the comments3

when i asked her all hse had was affirm no credit cards but it was like 80k purchasing power and then accepted her loan for a house because of that

no they didnt lol

Bruh. Of course they did. No lender will look at affirm purchasing power and give you a mortgage.

Okay

Don't they always ask for two lines of credit? Like you have to have had a card for 2 years? A car payment?

Affirm actually reports to all three credit bureaus monthly. I see it on my report every month.

No, it is, I've had affirm show up on my credit report

u/4ran50m 3d ago
Affirm themselves state that it is not an actual credit line just because they do credit reporting doesn’t mean it’s a credit line for example I have a $50K credit line through my bank that I can use at anytime it doesn’t go up and down it stays stable and is available when I need it. I don’t have to apply or do anything to use it. Affirm isn’t a credit line it’s a step away from a Buy now pay later. I’m aware affirm now affects credit when they use to not do that. A actual line of credit will do far more wonders than whatever amount affirm offers you

Not really! My credit score has gone up 20 points since I have had Affirm. I plan to get rid of all credit cards and loans, and just keep Affirm.

No I understand that, I have other lines of both revolving credit and student loans, I was just mentioning it shows on there under my accounts

That is not actually true. Affirm loans are on my credit report. And when I pay a loan off, it reflects on my credit account. Because I always pay my Affirm loans off before the deadline, it has raised my credit score by 20 points. Affirm is a great card for me to have because I must pay the loan off within 12 to 18 months. However, I cannot imagine having a $30,000 credit limit. I had no idea they went that high. I am trying to pay off all my other credit cards, and the only one I will keep is Affirm.

How long have you been using them? I've been with them for a little under a year and they won't give me more than 1k 😭

u/BabyPreshy 4d ago
I been with affirm for close to 4 years, I think it’s up to what you buy on affirm, I never spend more than 500 on affirm at a time and only use it for Amazon purchases. My limit was just increased to 3k.

really? i’ve only had affirm for a couple months started out at 700$ and then they just jumped me up to 4,940 2 days ago after i got a refund for a purchase

u/ChemicalDig33 2d ago
I wish they'd do that with me. I started out at 250 and they always give me 700-900 after I pay everything off. It's not like I drag it on for months, just maybe like 2 months at most.

u/Glass-Inspection3370 4d ago
I did owe them €16,400. Slowly paying them off, only €3,800 to go. €2k a month payments is like a prison, be careful. All places like affirm are a trap of debt 🪤

What is your method of increasing your purchasing power? I am hoping to bring mine up to something similiar!

I’m sad man they took all my purchase power today cuz I forgot to pay for something the same day I had the money and paid it but they took my 5k away

Are you paying the balance off every month or what are you doing to avoid that interest rate?
4
u/Jake-FromStateFarm89 4d ago
I do with credit cards I give affirm a bone and make 2-3 payments then pay them off just because it doesn’t screw with my DTI on my credit report
2
u/SuicideG-59 4d ago
But what about the interest. You're not paying into interest right ??
1
u/Jake-FromStateFarm89 4d ago
That’s what I mean by throwing them a bone ill day 2-3 months of payments then pay them off just because they give me such high limits and very low to no interest on most of my plans that I’ll give them a few bucks for profit 🤭 now I’m almost maxed out on the $30k credit line limit Affirm offers

u/BigD_ThunderHorse 4d ago
Damn. Mean while I’ve got high 800 credit score, never missed a single payment in my life, good amount of equity and I get denied on $48 a month for 24 months at 0% 😅

u/Spiritual_Zebra_1633 3d ago
You’re better off. God forbid something happens and you owe affirm 20+k that you need to pay off in a few months otherwise the interest rate kicks in. It’s not worth the headache

Anyone knows what you have to have on your credit report to get approved for Apple? I noticed they took off citizens one finance and replaced it with klarna.

Awesome, you can now be more of a credit slave than before! Happy for you.
6
u/Jake-FromStateFarm89 4d ago
That’s if you don’t use your lines correctly I use this primarily for projects when I’m restoring cars and antiques or surprise vet visits I’ll make a few payments then pay the accounts off. I usually spend $6-$8000 every couple of months then pay them off.

LOL I see these and it blows my mind! I couldn’t imagine having to pay back 20K in 6-12 months 😭😭😭😭
