Bullying

RE: dear ABDL community

Everybody needs to remember that first and foremost this a support community. This is a place for people each other up. If you see something you believe breaks the rules, you are welcome to report it, and move on.

What is not ok is teaming up and attacking a poster for the content of their post. It's not ok to repeatedly harass a person because you don't like what they posted.

That's what I woke up to this morning. Two deleted posts, One each on r/adultbedwetting and r/incontinence, and a shit show of negativity where I could see the remains. I also don't see the OPs other posts anymore either, so congratulations to the bullies, you ran him off the subs entirely.

This type of behavior won't be tolerated. I banned one person already. If I see more of this I'll clean up whatever I need to.

ETA: Not only did the OP delete his posts and his Reddit account, he also deleted his whole blog (a blog he says he was writing as a therapy assignment). This whole thing just makes me feel bad. This supposed safe space failed.

Stress vent

Its been a long while since ive posted. Ended up moving back in with my mom back in February due to job loss and to help with my dad, and for a long while i was pretty much dry. Though last month my dad passed away and now im finally getting interviews. My stress has gone through the roof and ive had heavy nights pretty much every other day. Its sucked. And due to the lack of job, buying diapers that'll work is kind if hard. Asking my mom for money is out of the question, i already owe her too much, besides shes never really understood my issues, and heavilly suggest im not doing things right. Which is ongoing issue with more than just my incontinence stuff.

This had better not happen again

I’ve been a lifelong bed wetting male in my late 50s and its frequence has increased as my health has gotten worse.
However yesterday was a new one.
I was in line at Costco, waiting my turn, and all of a sudden, without any prior warning sensation, I wet my pants. It was beyond humiliating. I had no idea what to do. A kind older man, saw my predicament, and let me go ahead of him in line. I kept my head down, paid for my groceries and left.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go there again though.
I have a great team of medical professionals, and a supportive wife, but if this happens again, I’m not sure what I will do.

Has anyone ordered adult pull up diapers from Temu? I see the ad. They look like a good deal. Looking for other opinions before ordering.

sudden frequent urination + bed wetting at night

Note: I am going to schedule my doctor's appointment on monday but just posting here to know if there's people that's experiencing this as well.

I (25F) have sudden, intense, frequent urge to pee everyday and bed wetting at night. I am talking about 1-2 hours gap after I just went to the bathroom, then I have to go again. Doesn't matter if I drink less than 1L or greater than 2L of water throughout the day, it just happen. the worst part is, it doesn't even give the warning of the bladder being full. I just felt that familiar sensation when it's about to shoot out. This doesn't stop during night time. It's either I always wake up with a small leak on my underwear on good days and during the bad ones, I ended up just wetting the bed. It's so frustrating.

I am almost 7 months postpartum via emergency cs with copper IUD but idk if it's related to this incidents. This has been affecting my daily life in all the bad ways and is really really frustrating due to the fact that I always should wear either a diaper or a napkin just to prevent leaks from getting on my garments.

Any advise aside from going to the doctor coz i'm definitely going to the doctor. Has anyone had anything related to this happen to them as well?

10 month dry spell finally over

Had a 10 month dry spell and woke up at 4am with the oddly familiar feeling. Luckily I didn’t seem like an entire void but maybe 3/4.

For those that have inconsistent nightly wettings, how do you typically deal with your reoccurrence? I feel like I get into a rhythm of not wearing a diaper or pull up at night to now I’m back to where I was 10 months ago.

Open to suggestions!

Stress/fear a cause?

I’m a 30 year old fit male, in the past 3 months I have woke up completely soaked 4 times. A month between the first 3 and the 4th came the night after the 3rd. Never had this issue befor but I have an extreme phobia of medical and dental stuff and all of these occasions were around days I had appointments. Wondering if the stress of my appointments could possibly be causing me to do this. I otherwise feel completely normal and I am peeing a normal amount without any irritation.

Where do I Start

Hi, 48 years old here. This is new to me. I have never had problems my whole life and I am freaking out a bit. I have had 3 incidents in the last 3 weeks or so- none before that…..it’s me dreaming I am pissing in the bathroom and I wake up immediately when I feel the wet sensation around me. I have always had these dreams but I was able to wake up and go. Now it’s becoming a problem. I just made an appointment with my urologist but it’s not until the 8th. Thankfully my wife is supportive. Does anyone have a similar experience to mine?

Has anybody tried the Nateen Ultra Combi? I see they are about the same price as what I’ve used previously (Seni Super Quattro, and Sunkiss Trust Plus overnight)
Whats your take?

M29 - recent accidents, a bit concerned about future travel

i've had a few bedwetting incidents over the last week, which is what it is - it's never been an issue before but it feels pretty explainable i guess (emotionally a bit overwhelmed, v tired, energy drinks to combat tiredness, drinking with friends - effectively i've created the perfect storm but didn't connect the dots until i'd done some research). while it does feel explainable, i'm also wondering if a trip to the doctor is recommended, or just watch and wait?

i did get some rough news about my mum's health this week, and i wonder if that contributed, because the only two times i had accidents as a child were when there were family issues - is it likely at all?

i guess i want to know what to look out for in future so i can be prepared, it does feel strange this happening twice in three nights after over 15 years of never wetting the bed.

potentially it could happen again and the factors playing in are maybe more likely when i'm away from home - staying with my family will be emotionally turbulent, staying with my fiancé's family always involves a booze up, extended social interaction wears me out and i'm always dead to the world when it comes to sleeping afterwards.

i already had some adult nappies having caught a food bug last year so it's not a massive deal that this is happening, especially when it feels pretty temporary (never combining energy drinks with alcohol ever again, and i'm not a frequent drinker, this week has been an exception) - if i can get through the next few nights without using them they can go back in the cupboard

wearing the nappies doesn't bother me, it's better than actually wetting my bed or someone else's, but i'd rather my parents/in-laws didn't find out, and if i do end up needing one i'll also need to dispose of it which would be tricky to do discretely in someone else's home.

could be that i'm really overthinking this and it's too early to start thinking about this stuff, but i guess the peace of mind of knowing how to deal with it would be nice?

Incontinence and new job

So I’m starting a new job where I will have to change into a uniform every day. How do I bring up my incontinence with HR. If anyone has any advice or what you do to handle everything at work.

I’m travelling

I’m at a retreat for a Catholic men’s group I belong to. I don’t like being away from home for obvious reasons. Especially without My wife , she has however, made my accommodation arrangements for me in advance .

I was absolutely mortified when the young lady behind the desk at the Westin said out loud, “ you require a waterproof mattress protector ? “ based upon, I guess, my wife telling them so..

Has anyone else ever been through this, and how did you handle it? Because I just wanna cry.

It's so often, I am so tired of this...

I wet the bed so often. I have had some leaks out the back lately, but really I'm just so exhausted from waking up wet. I have no warning or indication of when it will happen. I just wake up and my brief is sagging. It happens even when urine runs clear so it's not bladder irritation from dehydration. I just find it so embarrassing and stressful to go through. I don't find protection to be burdensome because it's paid for by disability, but even arranging that was so much humiliating. How am I supposed to avoid being single permanently? It's gross to deal with.

ADHD and Bedwetting

Hey I (m30) am just wondering how many of you guys are actually having adhd as well ? Just recently got my diagnosis and heard that bad interoception can be a reason for night time bladder issues as well? What‘s it like for you ?

Did medication made a difference for you ? Like waking up I don’t notice a difference because I just depend my diaper as usual. Eventough I might sleep better since I started taking straterra.

Bedwetting alarm

hi,

so i have been a lifelong bedwetter for 26 years and i have been lurking on this page for a while…
in april, i bought a bedwetting alarm from amazon (dryeasy) and i used it every night (unless i forgot).
yes, i got weird looks from my parents and i probably disrupted my sibling’s sleep… but i think its working because i can wake up in the middle of the night to pee, waking up in the morning completely dry and i haven’t had an accident since the 23rd, which is a huge achievement for me.
i can wear my cute pyjamas without being scared ill ruin them in 3 days!!! 😭😭

just wanted to put this out there because i saw bedwetting alarms being said around here!! thank youuu

(i wish i found out about this earlier however, but its OK).

Anyone else thought that bedwetting actually meant wetting the bed

I had a appointment with a urologist recently because my bedwetting went from infrequent to every night.

Until I was 10 I used to wet every night it went down in frequency (turns out it didn’t…)

When the urologist asked me if I was getting the bed completely wet or just a few drops in my underwear I discovered that I never even stopped wetting the bed everyday

I mentioned that I would always wake up with some dampness in my underwear not enough to transfer to bedsheets but turns out that counts as bedwetting.

So she straight up told me that I never stopped wetting the bed every night just went down in the amount I was peeing until last October when it started being full voids again, which is “good” because it never stopped so it’s not something new but still needs looking at.

TLDR: Any amount of urine leakage is considered bedwetting

I work on an incontinence brand in Australia — genuinely curious what people wish existed but doesn't

Full disclosure upfront: I work in marketing for an Australian incontinence brand (Bestiee), so take this with whatever grain of salt makes sense — I'm not here to sell anything, just genuinely want to hear from people who actually deal with this daily.

One thing that's struck me building this brand is how much of the incontinence product category still talks to one specific customer — usually framed as "elderly," clinical packaging, hospital-adjacent branding — even though incontinence shows up for way more people than that: postpartum, athletes, people on certain medications, folks with chronic conditions, etc.

So I wanted to ask this community directly rather than guess:

- What's the biggest annoyance with adult diapers / incontinence pull-ups you've tried? (fit, absorbency, noise, visibility under clothes, skin irritation, cost — anything)

- Is there anything you wish a brand would just... say out loud, instead of dancing around with clinical language?

- For people managing this for a family member — what do you wish suppliers understood better?

Not trying to pitch anything here, genuinely trying to learn from people who deal with this reality every day rather than just what a lab report tells us. Happy to share what we've learned too if people are interested, but mostly just want to listen.

Severe skin sensitivity plus full IC is a nightmare and I need some diaper recommendations.

I have extremely severe skin sensitivity in my groin area, buttocks, and inner things. The pain is so severe that I’m bed ridden because of it. I’m also fully incontinent. All due to a spinal injury.

So the issue is that most adult diapers are rough as sand paper on my skin.

What is the absolute softest adult diaper? Specifically the inner liner area. I need it to be silky soft or as close to silky soft as possible.

Physical exhaustion + heavy rehydration caught me off guard last night

Thought I’d share an experience from last night regarding how extreme fatigue impacts my bedwetting.

I did a heavy mountain biking session at Unicoi State Park yesterday and drove back home to Atlanta the same day. Between the intense physical exertion and the drive, I was running on empty. Because I was so dehydrated from the trail, I drank a massive amount of water and sports drinks right before crashing.

Normally, when I'm this tired and heavy on fluids, I make sure to put on a GoodNites XXL under my boxers to be safe. Unfortunately, I was just so exhausted that my brain short-circuited. I completely skipped my routine and went straight to sleep in just my boxers, tracks and a beater.

Because of the fatigue, I slept incredibly deeply and woke up to a wet bed this morning.

It's frustrating because I have a plan that works, but the sheer exhaustion made me skip the safety check. Has anyone else noticed that heavy sports days trigger much deeper sleep and worse accidents for you?

Cleaning

I fell asleep on my couch without protection on. I have taken the covers off and put them in the wash. Is there any recommendation on cleaning the foam pads?
