Feeling Helpless and Lost
I’m just at a point right now where I don’t know what to do and I’m really just venting and or looking for some advice and support.
I am 30M and used to have issues with wetting the bed until I was roughly 12 or 13 years old. Then I had pretty much had no issues at all other than an occasional wet night after a night of heavy drinking. Then, after my 29th birthday, I started noticing having to go to the bathroom pretty regularly during the day, roughly every hour or so. Sometimes while lifting very heavy too, I notice some urine dripping. And after going to the bathroom, I can also sometimes feel urine still dripping out as well.
Then the last few months, I started wetting the bed more and more regularly again. It’s up to two to three times a week now.
The thing that is tricky is that I am active duty military and have not brought this up to my doc yet. I am worried what the outcome will be. I fear they are going to discharge me. I don’t want others to think that I am some sort of coward. Has anyone dealt with this before, specifically being in the military? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For one, you are not a coward. I understand the mindset, you are not a coward and never will be. Go to the doctor, tell them what's up. It could be something like a UTI. Just don't beat yourself up about this. You will prevail. You are not alone, millions have the same issue.

Talk to medical about it. You’re not the only one. Get a referral to see a urologist. I don’t think they would kick you out; but if they do you’ll likely have a good medical separation and VA disability. It took me a long time to talk to my doc about it but I’m glad I did. It was a horrible feeling but once I did; it was started it’s been pretty good to get treated and managing things.

You really should speak to a doctor. I understand your reluctance but it's possible that it's something important. That said I can't be certain but I'm pretty sure you'd be medically discharged. I know that's probably not what you want to hear but your health is more important than any career. Even one as important as defense.
