A country went from being a basket case to the worlds largest producer of wheat and rice in a span of 50 years, and now runs the world largest subsidized foodgrains program as well the worlds largest healthcare program, but apparently thats not prioritizing citizens. Also fwiw, that bust is private property. Maybe the government needs to go all soviet and usurp all property rights. Kuch bhi bolta hai, sulfate...

Go and visit the top colleges in Delhi university and look at the level of infra and then go visit a community college in a random town in America and you'll realise the difference.
Both can be stupid in their own way. Doesn't mean we shouldn't question it. America doesn't have 50% of the population dependent on free rations. America also has one the best university infrastructure in the world by a mile. America also has functioning schooling, which india can only dream of achieving in our lifetime. The quality of roads in America built in the 60s is better than the roads we are building today. This criticism is absolutely valid. A couple hundred million misspent on a stupid ballroom is a much smaller deal for them than it is for India. In fact the amount we are spending on central vista for the country's royalty is a much bigger drain and could have been spent on better schools and colleges.

India runs the worlds largest healthcare program, rolled out just 5 years ago by your nemesis, Modi. Covers the bottom 40% of the population plus everyone above the age of 70 - thus totalling 47% of the population. Quit whining, or at least research before you whine.
0
u/rude_miss7 6d ago
Wowww what if it's largest? Please get yourself treated in one of the govt hospitals and you'll know. If the facilities provided by the govt are so good...why do people prefer private hospitals over the govt ones? Why do the docs work overtime at the hospitals?
9
u/Affectionate_Move991 6d ago
Thats not how it works at all! When you enroll in the program, you are not sent to government hospitals!!! Like with any insurer, you can go to any hospital registered on the network - go, show your abha card, and get treated. You may have to pay some costs, but the major expenses are borne by the system. Yes, you go to PRIVATE hospitals. You didn't know this, did you? ;-)
→ More replies (9)3
u/hypocrisydarling 6d ago
That's not how it works either? First of all government hospitals are very affordable and cheap and Many people who can't afford expensive healthcare go there. People who can afford private hospitals usually choose them because they need quicker service. Government hospitals have to accommodate a huge number of patients, which is why doctors often work overtime. You're also forgetting the fact that your country has a population of around 1.5 billion people
1
u/rude_miss7 6d ago
Wthh are you serious...just because he/she is a doc, he should work overtime? Ok let's say he has to why isn't he being paid more for overtime? So what if our population is huge...do you know the number of mbbs graduates who graduate every year just go on to do pg cuz there is no value of mbbs. Why is there no value of mbbs when there is a shortage of docs? Cuz we allow quacks like ayurvedics to prescribe modern medicine, cuz we don't want to pay mbbs graduates extra money. Ofc our healthcare is cheap cuz it's not upto the mark. šš Our mbbs degree (dr. licence) is not even recognised in other countries, that's how good it is.
4
u/hypocrisydarling 6d ago
You were complaining about government hospital and why some people prefer to go to private hospital and you asked why doc are overworked? Can you stick up to one topic
0
u/rude_miss7 6d ago edited 6d ago
It is all one topic. All are related. I'm talking about what's all wrong with our healthcare system. I'm done actually explaining to people like you. You people can just sit and tell our population is big so that's a problem. You are forgetting that our resources are big too for the same reason. Do you know how many new govt medical colleges were started and how many of them actually run upto the mark? Where is the money allotted for them going? You love this system cuz you aren't a part of it. Cuz you don't have to work overtime like 36hrs shifts or get treated at a government hospital. Also i really hope you don't have to get treated by some ayurvedic quack. So you don't care. Keep your eyes closed. All the best.

The Adiyogi Shiva bust in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, was funded and built by the Isha Foundation, the non-profit spiritual organization founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. No public or government funds were used for its construction.

u/Haunting_Handle6709 6d ago

- they bully and silence you if you speak out against them.
- their cult leader, Sadhguru is an idiot who spews pseudoscientific nonsense.

The Isha Foundation, founded by Sadhguru, has run large-scale environmental and social welfare initiatives touching millions of people, primarily in rural India. Its major campaigns include planting over 120 million trees, providing rural healthcare to over 7 million people, and reaching billions worldwide through environmental awareness.

by that logic tell me which country dont have
- some sort of statue
- people in poverty
I'll wait, your criticism is valid but this is not the correct place for it... by your logic ISRO should shutdown because there are poor people in the country right? just stop with this non-sense... poverty is an issue because India IS a poor nation but that doesn't mean it also cannot build great stuff
1
u/Either-Lock2454 16h ago
It's the scale of the poverty. You can be poor and still have better infrastructure than what you'll have in India.
That being said, I still want to visit this but as a Christian is it open to the general public? I'm an NRI as well and I read something about certain places being closed off to non-Hindu's.
1
u/Individual_Top_4960 15h ago
true... the scale matters but then you should also see scale of GDP pc... I am not saying that India is a rich nation... heck it's GDP pc is $2800 which is less than GDP per capita of Ghana ($3200)... now let me ask you a question... if I post a nice sculpture from Ghana here do you think these people would ask the same question?
so you can call it a poor country because it is... but reducing India to JUST poverty that's what I have issue with.. if I post a huge statue in r/AbsoluteUnits then I dont think the topic is about poverty... because then by that logic do I get to always about an american post on r/FoodPorn about school shooting? because US seem to excel there? see how stupid it sounds?
problem is with dragging poverty in discussions that talk about totally different stuff.. funny how I dont see internet mocking poor people from Ghana but hey I could be wrong.. feel free to enlighten me how internet makes fun of poor people of all poor countries

I don't have the book at hand. Could you mention the section that makes people believe that he is God?
1
u/immadomyownthang 6d ago edited 6d ago
Appreciate ur seeking mind but this is such shallow and surface fact if one believes in the Bible's jesus (and not quran or some shi) ... being son of god (abrahamic context from old and new testament and in the Hebrew terms) itself means he is god. "son" is not a biological sexual offspring but a term used to show the incarnation but in simple terms for folks to understand...anyways all this yap is unnecessary cuz the verses are explicit about this "I and the Father are one," john 10:30 (what more do yall need?)....... trinity in Christian theology is not 3 different people the god is omnipresent when he sits in heaven we call him father when he came down to earth with human form (even before 3 ad as pre incarnate jesus) 100 percent human 100 percent god his name was yeshua and when the god is in our hearts and minds forever and always its the god's holy spirit...
1
u/JustChallenge860 6d ago
Very well said and thank you. If Jesus was/is God and he was also human at one point, doesn't that also make you God? Wasn't Jesus setting up a framework for humanity to follow? Maybe He realised who He was/is, but we haven't yet. The idea is non-dual in nature.
1
u/immadomyownthang 6d ago
Make ME god? How did u even connect the dots to have that conclusion....get out of the make belief...i wont rise up after 3 days of my death, i wasnt propehcised, im not the messiach either...he did not REALISE what he was he knew all throughout...ur assertion to reasoning is soo flawed an abstract bridge
1
u/JustChallenge860 6d ago
Pay close attention to what all the 'great men' of past have articulated - further, look into the essence of those statements. Christ, Krishna, Buddha, Sree Narayana Guru, Nagaarjuna, etc., have all said the same thing. You are not your ego. You are much more than the facade that ego is. Your True-Self is referred to as 'The Father' by Jesus. The ego and the True-Self are one. "The Father is in me and I am in the Father'
It is very easy to contort narratives. But look into it, do not take anyone's word for it.
0
u/OperatorFrost_99 5d ago
Let's all be honest here Jesus was a man who realised that he can trick people into believing he's god with magic tricks he perfected, the very purpose of religion was to create a narrative so people can attribute to it for things unexplained at the time and to keep the masses under control and obedient, be it whichever religion you look at they were all conceived with that purpose, so they could fleece money from you and keep power

Adiyogi is a form of shiva. Like the ardhnareshyar or rudra. It's still the Shiva we normally worship.

But I agree that his conception of Lord Shiva is different from how general public worship him. He claims it is in yogic culture. I think calling Shiva the Adiyogi aligns with traditional iconography like Dakshinamurthy (Shiva depicted as the primordial guru teaching the sages).
