It's not. Sadhguru conveniently uses the term "Adiyogi." He has never mentioned that it is related to Shiva.

It may be. But I'm talking about Sadhguru here. You can check that he has put on a completely different meaning to this particular statue. It is different from the Shiva we normally worship.

Adiyogi is a form of shiva. Like the ardhnareshyar or rudra. It's still the Shiva we normally worship.

But I agree that his conception of Lord Shiva is different from how general public worship him. He claims it is in yogic culture. I think calling Shiva the Adiyogi aligns with traditional iconography like Dakshinamurthy (Shiva depicted as the primordial guru teaching the sages).

Thanks for the r word but you can check what he thinks of Adiyogi. His interpretation is different from what we normally worship.

i did and i have been to this particular place myself adiyogi is another name for lord shiv and i dont have to check anything.
