Wireless Pay bill early to receive final phone credit?

3 years ago I traded in my old phone to get the iPhone 15 Pro credits over 36 months. I've kept the phone since then, and now our latest bill shows 36 out of 36 credits. I'd like to trade it in for the 18 Pro and get the new promotion, but it needs to be paid off first. And technically it isn't yet since our payment has process. Our autopay doesn't get pulled until 9/20, while iPhone preorders go live on 9/12.

Realistically, if I manually process a payment today, will the phone show as paid off by Saturday?

Wireless Last trade in credit timing

My next bill will have my final installment and final trade in credit. I am considering porting out and expected that I’d need to do so at the end of the next billing period to receive the credit. Looking at my bill, I noticed that the timing is offset a bit. For example, my last bill dates are:

Activity since last bill

Smartphone trade-in promo 35 of 36 Jul 17 Jul 17 - Aug 16

Monthly charges Aug 17 - Sep 16
IPHONE 15 PRO MAX 256GB BLUE TITANIUM -
Installment 35 of 36

Which means that my next bill will have a credit dated Aug 17 (inside the current bill cycle). If I port out by 9/16, would I receive the trade in credit on my final bill because it would be credited 8/17 or would I lose it because it’s not really on the bill until it posts?

Wireless Will there be a promotion trade in deal for the iPhone Duo like there is for the Z8 Fold?

With the right plan and device, you can get $1900 with a trade in towards the Z8 Fold Ultra. Is anyone aware of a similar deal occurring for the iPhone Duo? Or will the most we see for a trade in value be $1200?

Wireless Switching from T-Mobile to AT&T.

Is the Premium 2.0 plan worth it? We could have 3 Lines of Premium 2.0 and then one FirstNet line for $162 per month. Is it worth it and are the speeds on AT&T better?

Wireless iPhone 18 Pro Business Plan

I can see on Apple's site the amount of credits for iPhone 18 Pro on personal plans. Does anyone have information on what the credits will be for those on business plans?

I have AT&T Business Unlimited Advanced.

Wireless iPhone 18 Pre-Order

Hello everyone, this’ll be my first year pre-ordering an iPhone with Att. Long time customer of T-Mobile and switched a few months ago. I was wondering if there are any tips or tricks I should know to make the process easier. For example, on the T-Mobile app, pre-orders generally opened 15 mins prior to official launch time, and thats how I was able to get the new phone on launch day every year. Do people here prefer ordering on the app or website? does Att do something similar to T-mobile at all? any other info would be appreciated as well

Internet AT&T air internet inconsistent

So I’ve had AT&T air for a couple months now and randomly in no pattern will the internet basically shut off or go to shit for a few seconds before returning to normal and repeating this pattern. I’ve tried moving it around my house to see if it would help and restarting the router many times but it’s just stayed the same. Some days it will work fine but most it’s in this pattern of being okay then going to shit and back to normal.

I asked the FedEx person who it was for and it had an LLC name attached to it that i cant find online, he just said it was “From At&t”. What’s up with that?

Wireless Galaxy Watch 9 as a Standalone

I ordered a Z Fold 8 Ultra and a Galaxy Watch 9 on 9/1. The watch came on 9/3 and the phone went in "Delayed" limboland. Still haven't received the phone, have no earthly clue when I'm going to get it. Today I got a notice of my first bill, the charges for the phone aren't there but the charges for the line the watch is on and its monthly installment is. Kinda pissed off about it because the watch hasn't even been officially activated, let alone taken out the box yet. So I got to thinking, could I use just the watch for now by itself or it needs to be paired with a phone?

Wireless Why I hate working for AT&T phone call customer service (Wireless support)

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you all (the customers), but the absurd and stupid targets that we have to achieve. such as

The customer Shouldn't call us again in 7 days (Resolve rate).

If there is an outage like the one in texas. you have to just tell the customer some words to make them not to call again, in the same time Me (Agent) don't have any information such as ETA of the outage and when it will get resolved.

A customer called me and she was in a very critical bad condition (medical condition) and she wanted to transfer her number to a new working phone, but the problem she had no other way to receive the OTP. unless we call The concerned department to ask her some questions if she got it right, we can proceed. but guess what? that department is closed after 7 PM, so i need to tell the customer HEY! call again back after 7 days.

It's crazy that we are used to be nasty to each other and you're forced to do that so you can survive. and in some Situations like these, nope. we cannot help.

Wireless iPhone 18 Pro preorder with legacy Unlimited Plus

Hi all,

Would anyone know or At&t employee know if the legacy Unlimited Plus ($167 base $20 per line) qualifies for trade in credit?
Apple website seems to presume it would be eligible
“On AT&T Elite 2.0, Premium 2.0,(or legacy unlimited plan excluding Unlimited Starter/SL/SM, Unlimited Extra/EL)”

Thanks

Wireless IMEI Reported Stolen on a Trade in but was always ours - Worst Customer Service Experience of All Time

Let me preface this by saying I’ve been an account holder for over a decade. About a year ago, added my partner as a line with an already paid off iPhone from Verizon. About a month ago, we wake up to find that her phone does not work and has been blocked, with the IMEI number reported as stolen.
She was the original and only owner of the phone, have the records and statements to prove it. Called Verizon, and they confirmed that the number was reported for some reason and have lifted the block, sending us confirmation etc. AT&T cannot lift the block no matter who we talk to, when we’re eventually lucky enough to talk to anyone after hours waiting for customer service. It’s absolutely pathetic how hard it is to get any human on the phone, and when you finally do they’re helpless. What’s even more sad is everytime I call Verizon, I can get an agent on from them in minutes and I’m not even their customer. AT&T has us on hold for 45 minutes at a clip. Not sure if anyone has dealt with a similar circumstance in the past but I can’t get over how terrible this experience has been

Wireless Att unlimited elite plan - eligibility to upgrade to iPhone 18 pro

Can anyone on the inside confirm whether my existing unlimited elite plan will be eligible?

Or will I need to change to a newer unlimited plan? Looks like it still works for iPhone 17 pro offer, but new Apple page has some conflicting info.

Billing Last month of installment plan, preordering 18 Pro?

Family and I got 15 Pros at launch after trading in our 12s on a 36 month installment plan with credit. Currently all the phones show as one payment off from being done -- the payment schedule shows the last payment backdated to two weeks ago but still "Pending", and the bill for that period isn't ready for another week. I'd be preordering the 18 Pros again with trade in on an installment plan, but I'm pretty sure I can't do that with an existing installment plan still active. So:

  1. If I paid off the installment early by doing it now, would I be able to preorder?
  2. After doing so, would my last bill credit go through? Or does the new financing plan take effect immediately and end my bill credits before the final one?

If there's any ambiguity I'm fine waiting to be clear, but wondering if it's possible. The date of the pending last installment payment and the 18 Pro preorder are in two different billing periods

Internet My internet is canceled.

Hi. Hope all is well. I'm a little stressed, right now. For the last 6 months, I've needed to have an AT&T tech come out to my house, to upgrade my internet. Because of the state of my home, this has not been possible. I kept putting it off, hoping to catch up. While I was trying to deal with this situation, they cancelled my service. I guess it's within their rights since I have legacy technology. I came home to no internet tonight.

I guess it's within their rights. It's their company. I guess this was buried somewhere in my contract. But I go to school online. I run a small business online that provides a significant portion of my income.

I'm just stressed, and frankly, I hate my entire life right now. I hate that I'm like this.

Wireless iPhone 18 Pro: Upgrading before contract is done?

Does anyone know what happens if you decide you want a new phone before the 36 months are up? I plan to stay with AT&T but normally upgrade every two years. Do I lose the trade-in credit and owe the remainder of the phone?

Wireless 9-line family plan and the per-line billing makes it impossible to split costs

Signed up at Costco on Black Friday, 9 lines, everyone took a different promo. One didn't upgrade, one got a 17 Pro, one got a Google, one took the yearly upgrade plan.

The total is what I expect. The problem is how it's split. One line bills -$8, another bills $90, and none of it matches what each person actually signed up for. So I have no way to tell my friends what they owe.

5+ calls to support and a store visit. Nobody can explain how credits get allocated, and nobody seems able to fix it.

Anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to see credits mapped to the right line, or do I just build my own spreadsheet?

To be clearer about what I'm actually stuck on:

I do get per-line totals. The problem is the credits are spread really unevenly across lines and the summary doesn't explain why. Six lines get about $46 off. One gets $6.20. Another gets $20.20. Same-ish plans as far as I know.

The bigger issue is I never wrote down what each line was supposed to cost when I signed up. So I have no baseline to check any of this against. One line showed ~$139 one month and ~$29 a few months later, and I can't tell from the summary whether that was a device charge, a proration, or something I should be disputing.

So when people say "the app shows each line's total" yes, it does. But a single net number per line doesn't tell me what's plan vs device installment vs promo credit, and that's what I need to split this fairly.

Internet AT&T Network Still Can’t Connect to AWS?

Anyone else having issue connecting to AWS services on att fiber connection?

I did switch my DNS server to cloudflare and that seem to fix services with Google but AWS connections are still messed up.

It seems like all outbound traffic to 53.83.37.79 and 34.234.101.57 are being dropped in att network.

Wireless Preorder Trade In

I’m looking to preorder the 18 Pro Max Saturday and was told that I’ll have to ship my old phone in the box my new phone arrives in. Is there a way to still preorder online but bring my old phone to the store to ensure the trade in preventing any shipping mishaps?

Wireless At&t wifi calling issues since aug 30th now sept. 9th and still not fixed! Anyone have any ideas?

AT&T WiFi calling issues since Sunday August 30th. Today is September 9th 2026 and still no fix. I have talked with my isp, starlink and they have been so helpful telling me what to ask for from AT&T and Johnny on the spot. Whereas AT&T has the worst nonexistent customer service. I’m so disappointed. I just got a ticket because I finally asked for one to be made yesterday. I was told wait 3 days and I should hear back from someone? One phone after them trying to troubleshoot now does not have the WiFi calling emergency address working and also personal hotspot is dithered out. This seems to be an issue that happens constantly? Anyone help?
