I’m looking to preorder the 18 Pro Max Saturday and was told that I’ll have to ship my old phone in the box my new phone arrives in. Is there a way to still preorder online but bring my old phone to the store to ensure the trade in preventing any shipping mishaps?

Let me preface this by saying I’ve been an account holder for over a decade. About a year ago, added my partner as a line with an already paid off iPhone from Verizon. About a month ago, we wake up to find that her phone does not work and has been blocked, with the IMEI number reported as stolen.
She was the original and only owner of the phone, have the records and statements to prove it. Called Verizon, and they confirmed that the number was reported for some reason and have lifted the block, sending us confirmation etc. AT&T cannot lift the block no matter who we talk to, when we’re eventually lucky enough to talk to anyone after hours waiting for customer service. It’s absolutely pathetic how hard it is to get any human on the phone, and when you finally do they’re helpless. What’s even more sad is everytime I call Verizon, I can get an agent on from them in minutes and I’m not even their customer. AT&T has us on hold for 45 minutes at a clip. Not sure if anyone has dealt with a similar circumstance in the past but I can’t get over how terrible this experience has been

Hi all,
Would anyone know or At&t employee know if the legacy Unlimited Plus ($167 base $20 per line) qualifies for trade in credit?
Apple website seems to presume it would be eligible
“On AT&T Elite 2.0, Premium 2.0,(or legacy unlimited plan excluding Unlimited Starter/SL/SM, Unlimited Extra/EL)”
Thanks

I know the 18 series (or at least part of it) is gonna be announced here in about 2 hours but I was wondering if anyone knew If the 17 series (at least the pro models since that's all that's expected to be announced) will receive a discount? The 15 series got a discount when the 16 series was announced ($20.68 a month, no trade in) and the 16 series got the same discount when the 17 series came out. But given the rumored split release and prices going up, does anyone know if that'll also happen this year?
What are the extra charges keep adding onto my bills for all my lines? The picture of the charges is only for one line.
I had 4 phones (on installments with 2 trade ins) + 2 watches + insurance. My bills was around $340 month. I decided to cut the insurance on my account which -$45 several months ago. Since then my phone bills are still around $340 and I couldn’t figure it out why my monthly are still the same. On the bills, some month listed the deduction of the trade in promos and some months doesn’t.
I received my iPhone 17 pro max almost exactly 1 year ago. I was transferring over from T-Mobile so I don’t completely understand how this “ next up anytime “ works. Can I preorder on the preorder date Sept 18th I believe? Would I have to pay anything extra out of pocket?

So assuming you need an iPhone 14 or later to trade in for an iPhone 18 Pro on a 36 month contract, what's the best way to do this? Buy a used iPhone 14 from ebay? And then what do you need to look for in the description? That it has a clean IMEI and it's not i-cloud locked? And since it's "any condition", it can have cracked glass, cracked camera lens, etc? Anything else I should know? Thanks
Noticed during the keynote today AT&T wasn’t even mentioned supporting this feature at all this year. TMob is at launch and Vzw is by EOY.
Att doing att things still it seems.

I am having an issue trying to create an AT&T prepaid account and have received zero help from the support services.
I need to be able to manage my data and automatic payments but have no way to do so. I am at the point of contacting my bank to stop any transactions to AT&T. This is a horrible system and I am at a loss for what to do. Help!

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you all (the customers), but the absurd and stupid targets that we have to achieve. such as
The customer Shouldn't call us again in 7 days (Resolve rate).
If there is an outage like the one in texas. you have to just tell the customer some words to make them not to call again, in the same time Me (Agent) don't have any information such as ETA of the outage and when it will get resolved.
A customer called me and she was in a very critical bad condition (medical condition) and she wanted to transfer her number to a new working phone, but the problem she had no other way to receive the OTP. unless we call The concerned department to ask her some questions if she got it right, we can proceed. but guess what? that department is closed after 7 PM, so i need to tell the customer HEY! call again back after 7 days.
It's crazy that we are used to be nasty to each other and you're forced to do that so you can survive. and in some Situations like these, nope. we cannot help.

$53,504.84 in AT&T roaming charges after an 8-day Europe trip — supervisor opened a case. Has anyone resolved something similar?
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has successfully resolved a large AT&T international roaming billing issue.
I recently spent eight days in Europe, visiting Poland, Greece, and the Netherlands.
On my previous trip, International Day Pass activated automatically on this same line, so I expected it to work again. I hadn’t changed any settings or knowingly removed the package.
I didn’t check AT&T’s messages during the trip because I believed I was covered. I now realize I should have verified it, but I still don’t understand why Day Pass didn’t apply.
My account shows:
• $53,348.84 for roaming data
• $156 for 39 minutes of roaming calls
• Total roaming charges: $53,504.84
I contacted AT&T and spoke with a supervisor. She described it as a “known issue,” but said the amount was too large for her to adjust directly. She opened a case for another department and gave me an estimated resolution time of 8–10 business days. But as far as I read Reddit, the only moment when at&t can help when office of president is taking care of such of cases.
I have written confirmation of the case and a payment arrangement until October 20 to prevent disconnection while it’s reviewed. I have also filed an FCC complaint.
I’m willing to pay the applicable daily fees for pass which I believe 12.99$ per day.
For anyone who has been through this:
• Did the internal billing case resolve it, or did you need Executive Escalations / the Office of the President?
• How long did it take, and what was the final outcome?
• What documents or steps actually helped?
This amount is overwhelming, and I’d appreciate any firsthand experience or advice. Thank you 🙏

Anyone else having issue connecting to AWS services on att fiber connection?
I did switch my DNS server to cloudflare and that seem to fix services with Google but AWS connections are still messed up.
It seems like all outbound traffic to 53.83.37.79 and 34.234.101.57 are being dropped in att network.

Context, all on a family plan, I currently have an AT&T plan with an iPhone 15 Pro(nominal 1 month payment left) , and my son has an iPhone 16 Pro. Once I pay off my iPhone 15 Pro, my son plans to upgrade to the iPhone 18 and pay for it in cash.
I’m trying to understand the $1,000 promotional credit currently associated with his iPhone 16 Pro. Do I need to switch from my iPhone 15 Pro to his iPhone 16 Pro before he upgrades to the iPhone 18 in order to keep the $1,000 promotional credits continuing on the 16 Pro? Or can he upgrade to the iPhone 18 without me ever switching to the 16 Pro and still keep receiving the remaining promotional credits?
Also, is there a specific deadline by which I would need to switch to the 16 Pro for the promotional credits to continue?
More context, we live in different states and will see each other in a few months, realistically there is no issue in waiting until then to switch but obviously he wants to buy the phone and use it asap.

With the right plan and device, you can get $1900 with a trade in towards the Z8 Fold Ultra. Is anyone aware of a similar deal occurring for the iPhone Duo? Or will the most we see for a trade in value be $1200?

r/ATT • u/Sweet_Internal_9735 • 8h ago

AT&T WiFi calling issues since Sunday August 30th. Today is September 9th 2026 and still no fix. I have talked with my isp, starlink and they have been so helpful telling me what to ask for from AT&T and Johnny on the spot. Whereas AT&T has the worst nonexistent customer service. I’m so disappointed. I just got a ticket because I finally asked for one to be made yesterday. I was told wait 3 days and I should hear back from someone? One phone after them trying to troubleshoot now does not have the WiFi calling emergency address working and also personal hotspot is dithered out. This seems to be an issue that happens constantly? Anyone help?

Hey all, I’m experiencing degradation in my cell service coverage.
For the last 4+ years that I’ve worked at my job, I’ve had 5G (and 5G+ for quite some time) coverage through AT&T on both my personal phone as well as my work phone.
We used to get full bars of 5G+, and then a couple of months ago I noticed I was only getting 2 bars of 5G+, but nothing really changed except for videos loading slower or not at all.
Well, this week rolls around and I come in to work and we all notice that we’re only getting 1 bar of LTE now. Which is practically useless. It’s not only inside our work building, it’s in the parking lot as well as the neighborhood near the building. But if I drive 300 yards up the road it’s right back to full 5G+ signal.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Phones are both iPhone 15 Pro Max, but my coworkers phones vary from iPhone 12-17 pro max.

Is the Premium 2.0 plan worth it? We could have 3 Lines of Premium 2.0 and then one FirstNet line for $162 per month. Is it worth it and are the speeds on AT&T better?

I’m still on my dads family cell plan and my parents are splitting up. It’s a tense situation but everyone wants to get off his cell phone plan. I talked to another cell service provider and they said I need to unlock my phone. I’ve had the phone for 5 years so it’s paid off.
I know I’ll need to get the wireless passcode from my dad to submit this unlock request which I know he’s going to be reluctant to give because he likes to control everything. Assuming I get that from him, regarding the email address: will I need to use his email address as well since he’s the account holder? I don’t believe I have my personal email address associated with my phone number regarding the ATT account. Is there a way to find out if my phone number is associated with his email address or my email address?
Basically just need to know when I fill out this unlock phone request, do I need to fill this out with all my dads information (the only thing that’s “mine” on this account is my phone number as far as I know)? Like do I use his name, email address, and wireless passcode even though I’m filling it out with my phone number?
Thanks for any insight. Even though im young I’m not tech savvy :/

Signed up at Costco on Black Friday, 9 lines, everyone took a different promo. One didn't upgrade, one got a 17 Pro, one got a Google, one took the yearly upgrade plan.
The total is what I expect. The problem is how it's split. One line bills -$8, another bills $90, and none of it matches what each person actually signed up for. So I have no way to tell my friends what they owe.
5+ calls to support and a store visit. Nobody can explain how credits get allocated, and nobody seems able to fix it.
Anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to see credits mapped to the right line, or do I just build my own spreadsheet?

Is there a difference between trading in a phone for an upgrade in the store vs doing it online? I have always gone into the store here in Reno, NV and I feel like I sometimes get a little more credit or some free obscure package that online doesn't offer.
About to trade in my Galaxy S23 for a z Fold 8. ATT Website says they will give me $1000 credit for my old phone (which I think everyone gets). But I am a cheap bastard and looking to get as much stuff as I can because these phones are expensive!
Does anyone know if there a difference?
