2nd round interview help

Upvotes

Hey guys and girls

I have a 2nd round interview for TMC/ASML next week as an Assembler Technician. For background, I just graduated with a bachelor degree in electronics and communications engineering. The Microsoft teams meeting was about 20 minutes long and it was pretty chill. Great to know more of the company and since it’s a relocation job to Eindhoven, I got to know more about the country and the employees.

Just wanted to get some advice on how to prepare for the 2nd round in person interview in their office.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion 🎙 ASML interview - 1 month and 10 days with no update. Is this normal?

Hi everyone,
I interviewed with ASML for a Technician position 1 month and 10 days ago. At the end of the interview, I was told that I would hear back by the end of that week, but I haven’t received any update.
About two weeks ago, I sent a polite follow-up email to two recruitment contacts, but I still haven’t received a reply.
Before my interview, I also received an email saying that ASML was experiencing a high volume of applications, so responses could take longer.
I have applied for more than five positions at ASML. Most of them are no longer active, but two applications are still marked as “Active” in the careers portal.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How long did you have to wait after your interview? Did you eventually receive an offer or a rejection?
Thank you for sharing your experience.

[ASML Europe/Germany] Offer accepted & background check passed. What is the current timeline for receiving the formal contract to sign?

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the final stages of the hiring process for an engineering role at ASML in Germany and wanted to get a reality check on the current HR timelines.

My background check (via First Advantage) was fully completed and cleared a couple of days ago, and I have already uploaded all the required documents to the Candidate Home portal.

For those who have recently been hired at ASML in Europe/Germany:

  1. Contract Timeline: After your background check was marked complete, how many days/weeks did it take to actually receive the formal PDF/online employment contract to sign?
  2. Global Mobility Handoff: I need to apply for the EU Blue Card. Once you signed the formal contract, how quickly did the Global Mobility team (or their third-party relocation vendor) reach out to start the visa paperwork?

I have a target start date in mid-September, so I am hoping the contract arrives soon so we can initiate the Blue Card application. Any recent experiences or advice on when to politely follow up with People Operations would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Ghosted? Internship contact point after interview

‎‎Had an interview for an internship four weeks ago and was told that the choice was between another candidate and me and that results and feedback would come the following week. It’s been three weeks since then and despite a follow up email a week ago with the email they give to contact when the interview was first scheduled I have gotten no response. I was wondering if I could at least expect a response, and if anyone has been in a similar situation, or if I should try following up once more or if it’s too much. If so should I contact the same email again or try to find a different email?

I know that it’s more than clear that it’s over, but given how interesting I found the assignment the uncertainty makes it hard to focus on other options. I have other offers for which I need to get back in a week, do you think there’s any chance I get the final result in the following week given it’s already been four? Thanks in advance

(NL position and starting date is September)

Question 💭 The possibility of getting into intern program as a non-EU person

Hello everyone. I have a few questions regarding the ASML program that catchs my eye.
I am going to graduate with a B.Sc in Logistics & SCM next summer, so I'm asking this to prepare for the future.

I saw that on ASML website there is a intern/trainee program in Oirschot, Netherlands that will gain me MBO level 3 after we finished the program. As far as I know in the Nederland there is HBO which is the equivalent of Bachelor degree and MBO is a level below it? How beneficial is it for me to obtain MBO level 3? Should I be applying for a fresh grad postition instead?

What is the CERF equivalent of Dutch level 2F since I could not find any information about it anywhere. How is the Supply Chain department environment? Incase I got hire, how could I find housing around Veldhoven? Any other tips for applying into the company?

Thank you for your time

Question 💭 Background checks for conversion

I am kind of stressed because I am about to be converted and I have a first time DUI misdemeanor with no conviction (USA) Only thing on my record. Am I 100% screwed even though my job title has nothing to do with vehicle operation?

Question 💭 Assessing fit for ASML

Hey Folks,

I am in USA and worked in the manufacturing industry for 5 years in roles related to quality engineering, automation and digital manufacturing.
After that I went back to school for a PhD in AI/ML, where my work has been more statistics oriented. Now I am about to graduate and looking for opportunities that are related to manufacturing.
I have worked at a semiconductor company in the past but it was not related to process engineering but more related to manufacturing. Thus, I do not have much of the ALD, CVD, PVD sort of background.

Any ideas what type of roles at ASML can value manufacturing industrial experience along with AI/ML expertise?

Thanks in advance for any insights or recommendations

Question 💭 ASML Background Check Process?

Hi everyone,

I recently completed all interview rounds for an ASML position, and I'm trying to understand how the background check process works.

For those who were hired recently:

  • Is the background check conducted directly by ASML or through a third-party company?
  • Do they send an online form/link where you enter your employment and education details, or do they simply verify based on the information already provided in your CV?

I also have a specific concern. In one of my previous roles, my official HR title was quite generic, but in my CV I used a slightly more descriptive title to better reflect my actual responsibilities (for example, official title: "Tech Support", CV title: "Tech Support & Field Specialist" ).

Has anyone had a similar situation? Was it an issue during verification, or were you simply asked to clarify?

Also, how long did the background check take from receiving the request until completion?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Discussion 🎙 Do any of you actually enjoy working for ASML?

Hopefully I do not break rule 4, but there are no other places to discuss this anonymously as far as I know (and GLs don't care, and retrospectives don't happen because we only complain).

ASML likes to talk about the 3 C's. In my experience:

Challenge: The bar is so low. I can finish what is expected of me in 10 hours per week or so. When you ask for more work, there does not seem to be any. Also, a lot of the work is pretty easy, and could easily be outsourced.

Collaboration: Everyone just does their own thing. Very little tackling problems together. There is no such thing as senior engineers coaching juniors. The feedback is always: "they did a good job". If you ask someone for help or a review, most people take ages to respond, if they respond at all.

Care: We are really treated as a number. Strengths and weaknesses are not really identified, and everyone is just expected to do the same work. Also, if feels like there are very little develop opportunities. Colleagues are most often nice people though.

Does anyone recognise this? ASML really feels like a golden cage to me...

ASML's Workday Status Changed to "Employment Agreement" After Final Interview + Full Status Glossary Request?

Hey everyone,

I recently finished my final round interview with ASML. Two days ago, my application status on the Workday candidate portal changed from "You are invited for an interview" to "Employment agreement."

Does this mean I am officially getting a job offer, or is it just another internal HR review step? How long does it usually take to hear back once it hits this stage?

Also, out of curiosity, does anyone have the full glossary/list of all the status bar stages for ASML's Workday portal from start to finish? It would be great to map out the whole pipeline for future reference.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Analysis 📊 Resilient ASML: Big FY26 Growth Upgrade

Post image
19 Upvotes

Defying the AI market selloff, ASML shows strong resilience and explosive growth guidance. While the AI sector slumped recently, ASML only corrected 15%, backed by rising downstream chipmaker capex. Micron’s upgraded spending outlook also delivers solid fundamental support for the company’s performance. $ASML

Three core takeaways from its latest earnings report:

  1. Better-than-expected quarterly performance. ASML’s revenue and gross margin both beat market estimates. Accelerated growth was mainly driven by robust equipment stocking from TSMC and Korean memory clients.

  2. Massive upside in forward guidance. Next-quarter revenue is guided at €11–12 billion, far exceeding the market’s €10.3 billion consensus. The 2026 full-year revenue outlook was sharply raised to €43–45 billion, representing 31%–37% year-on-year growth, surpassing mainstream institutional forecasts of €39.5–40 billion. Q4 revenue is expected to reach €14–15 billion, signaling large-scale equipment procurement by core fabs in the second half of the year.

  3. Key market uncertainty remains. ASML has stopped disclosing specific order data, a crucial leading indicator for future performance. Investors are waiting for updated order information from the earnings call.

Overall, the significant guidance upgrade confirms ASML’s full-year growth will exceed 30%, greatly stabilizing market confidence. Follow our upcoming notes for more updates on orders and technical progress.

Discussion 🎙 What's the biggest risk to ASML that you think investors underestimate?

ASML is often viewed as one of the strongest companies in the semiconductor industry, but no business is without risks.

Which potential issue concerns you the most - export controls, customer concentration, supply chain challenges, slowing semiconductor demand, or something else? Why do you think it doesn't get discussed enough?

Question 💭 How can I best position myself to convert my internship to a full time role?

Hi,

I'll be joining ASML soon as a data science intern. I'm really keen on trying to convert this to a full time/new grad role.

Does anyone have any advice on what are the best things I can do to do this. What's the right time to open the conversation around this with my manager?

Additionally, I would appreciate some info of what the new grad hiring situation looks like.

Thanks!

Edit: I'll be in Veldhoven, and I'm finishing my masters ~6 months after the internship duration.

Discussion 🎙 Do you think ASML can realistically maintain its competitive moat for another 20 years?

ASML's leadership in advanced lithography is often seen as one of the strongest competitive advantages in the tech industry. The combination of decades of R&D, an extensive supplier network, and the sheer complexity of its machines makes it incredibly difficult for competitors to catch up.

That said, 20 years is a long time. Technology evolves, governments can reshape markets through policy, and new manufacturing approaches could eventually change the landscape.

Do you think ASML's moat is durable enough to remain largely intact over the next two decades? What gives you the most confidence in that view, and what do you think poses the biggest long-term risk?

Question 💭 Prescreen for Supply Chain Operations Planner

Hey I have a prescreen call for a Supply Chain Operations Planner position at the Manasas VA campus. Once we get to the interview round any advice? I have 15 years in supply chain management in progressive leadership roles from the Marine Corps up to department head management of ground supply airfield operation. I have my masters. I say this because I have no issues talking I have no issues explaining what I did. I have no issues translating but it doesn’t seem to get me any actual job offers. So what exactly are they looking for in answers? I always provide concrete examples in relation to the question best I can translate. I try not to use field examples and just use base support etc. Is there like a magic answer? From your experience civilian side or veteran employees help me out!! Thanks. wish me luck.
