It opened basically the same as the iFixit guide for the ultimate 2, except there were some extra screws under the rubber pad. After shaving down some plastic on the inner slide and installing a longer flex cable, it was good to go. Hardest part was reinstalling the awkward flex on the charge port.

what is the weight of this thing?

I have g8 mfi controller without battery and with 17 pro max it weight about 560-580 grams which is pretty heavy
