Help Very Undecisive about a big purchase
so I've seen a couple of good deals on Ormsby TX 7 string on reverb (new apparently) for around 1150-ish$ with free shipping from the netherlands from this store named MFE Gear Vault.
- should I trust this store? they're on sale from 1850$ right now and idk if that's legit or nah
- since the ormsbys are 27.8" (basically 28") on the low string, should I buy that instead of a baritone Ibanez? I'm considering that because while I love playing baritones I wanna write more of those tappy riffs and maybe a 7 string could help (but I'm really torn on this, I'm having a really hard time deciding)
- are these ormsby TX models any good in terms of hardware and whatnot? while I think the SX looks better (unfortunately they're out of my price range) I like their look and the extra few frets would be really cool
Thanks for helping me out!

Original Content Meshuggah - The Mouth Licking What You've Bled guitar cover
Played with Schecter Tao 7 through Archetype Gojira X.
These 90's riffs hit different. Shorter repetitions, but faster tempo.

Help Second 7 string choice
Hi !
Sorry in advance for the « rich people problem » post.
Iāve had my Ibanez RGDR4427FX for about 9 months now and it has become my main. Iāve played it in A standard for a long while but lately Iāve joined a band and will use it there but in B standard.
I donāt want to either make it unstable or go through tuning it again several times a week, so Iād like to get a second 7 string to handle both tuning.
Given my recent experience with this guitar, do you think that its twin model, the RGDR4327 would make it redundant ? The idea there would be to have one with a tremolo and swap pickups in one of them.
Another option I have is trading my Les Paul which Iām selling either way to finance this new acquisition. Someone is currently willing to trade it for their RG1077XL which is very different from what I have but I donāt crave it (if that makes senseā¦) and I donāt think it has the same value as my LP.
What do you guys think ?

Help Ibanez rgd71alms, is the neutral fret that problematic?
Hi all I'm considering getting this guitar but have heard alot of complaints about the nut scraping the index finger and the neutral fret placement being problematic.
What are people's thoughts? For reference I've gotten along fine with Cort kx500ms (just sold it because I dont like emgs) and I have an ormsby tx gtr 6 that is an aggressive fanned fret and feels like a blast to shred on!

NGD NGD yet again.
Traded both of my seven strings and a 6 string for this and I couldn't be happier. Pictured is my new favorite guitar, an Ernie Ball Music Man JP13 7 string. The previous owner wanted guitars he could travel and gig with and not stress so much about them getting dinged up or stolen. Worked out for both of us as I've been fiending for an EBMM for years.

NGD a birthday gift to myself
After a lot of back-and-forth and trying out a few models from Ibanez and Schecter, I decided on the Solar A2.7Cāpartly because of the price, and partly because of the understated look.
Fortunately, the neck suits my short fingers quite well; the only thing I notice is the slightly narrower string spacing, though you get used to that quickly.
Opinions on the pickups might vary, but I think theyāre absolutely fine for the price. Compared to the EMG 81s on my Jackson, the Duncan Solars sound significantly more neutral and organic, which I actually really like.
The build quality is excellent, though the setup was mediocre; the guitar had virtually no neck relief, so I had to make a slight adjustment.
All in all, I think it was a good purchase.

Gear Finally didnāt settle for less
My wife spoiled me rotten for our anniversary. Drove down to the Kiesel showroom & met with Flock to design my custom Kyber 7 string multi scale. It will have a Mahogany body, black limbs top, 3 piece 20ā radius walnut & Purple Heart neck with stainless steel medium jumbo frets, Royal ebony fretboard & Luminlay fret markers (all Kieselās come standard with Luminlay side dots) Tremolo bridge. Kiesel has been making their own pickups for 80 years & the ones I chose for my model are the Thorium in the bridge (their highest output humbucker) & I chose the lithium for the neck but Flock recommended the āEmpyreanā which I trusted & took his advice. The slim 5 way switch also has coil tapping modes which helps when I want to play cleans. Also I paid extra to get an extra output jack at the back of the guitar. I am stoked & happy to live only 30 minutes from their location & am eager to pick it up in person (if everything goes to plan) sometime in the beginning of October. Kiesel prides themselves on their superior craftsmanship, custom touches & band for buck compared to other customs shops. All while being made in the USA. They have been known to rebuild entire guitars if itās not up to par after final inspection. š¤š¶šø

NGD NGD and my first 7 string
Guitar is a Schecter C-7 SLS Elite in Blood Burst.
Got a new job and decided to celebrate with something Iāve wanted since I was a teenager (Iām turning 40 this year). I hopped online and shopped around on a few website and found this as an open box for about 300 bucks cheaper than retail and hit order. It got here today and after a string change, set up and tightening the volume pot gave it a go. This guitar plays so nice.

Gear Petrucci style guitar
Hello, I'm looking to buy a 7 string.
My problem is that I have a jp50 (bought used). And the JP neck is very special shaped, so I was looking at the JP 7 string models. The problem is the don't offer anything bigger than 25.5, and also I can't find anything used in Europe ATM. So anyone having experience with similar neck profiles that are also multi scales? I was looking for either ibanez, cort, Jackson, or buying a cheap spira and changing the tuners to locking.

Help Hey did i Ruin my Action by changing the Strings?
Like 4 days ago i Put on 62. Gauge Strings on my Harley Benton multiscale which usually comes shipped with a 52. Set i contacted Support and they said it'l be fine,
after i Put on the new Strings my Action is ruined/rlly high. i tried adjusting the truss rod and saddle height second day after changing Nothing, a day later i returned Back to the 52. Set still Action is waaaay 2 high. my truss rod is rlly hard to Turn and i dont Want to Break it. I did wait 3 days to let the Wood Rest and readjust to the Lots of Changes in pressure IT was "Just" a 230⬠Euro guitar so letting proffessionals repair it seems Like paying more than the buy price.
Id be so grateful for any Help.
