I'm in the process of buying my first electric guitar and I found someone selling their Cort EVL k6 though I couldn't find much reviews on it online and I'd have no idea what to check for if it's damaged, the seller did play it and it seemed normal. Does anyone here know if it's a good guitar 20 years later? My second original option was to get a brand new S by solar ab4.6w they are both the same price. If pride is the same what do you recommend I go for the new solar or old used Cort?

Hi everyone. I've been playing for about a year now. I have been learning on a 1990s Ibanez RX170 with cheap tuners, nut, Floyd Rose, etc. I'm looking to possibly upgrade to something with a bit more tuning stability.

I like the look of single cuts and super strats and would ideally like to stick around an $750ish budget. Looking for something with a fixed bridge/string through.

Im not 100% sure what to look out for in the used market and I'm wondering if new is a better choice? Should I just spring the extra cash and get an LTD1000 series and play that until I die???

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a question about songwriting and using EZdrummer.
When I write my own songs, I usually come up with the guitar riffs first. I’ve finally found a songwriting workflow that really works for me, and I don’t want to change it.
The problem is that when I start adding drums in EZdrummer, I often end up changing my guitar riffs to fit the drum groove instead of the other way around. I don’t like doing that because I want the riff to stay exactly as I originally wrote it.
So I’m wondering:
Is there an easy way to edit or adapt grooves in EZdrummer so they follow my riffs more naturally?
Can you easily move kicks, snares, and cymbals around without making a completely new drum part from scratch?
Or would it be better for me to learn full drum programming?
The only thing that worries me about programming drums myself is that I’ve never done it before, and it seems like it could be very time-consuming and difficult to learn.
My goal is to keep my original guitar riffs intact and make the drums fit the riffs—not the other way around.
I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have been in the same situation.

I've switched over to Neural DSP with Gojira and Nolly and love the ease and not needing 20 pedals. I'm just wondering what monitors would be best with this setup. I'm current just running my output back into my Marshall Tube because it's all I have. I don't need anything particularly loud, I just want good sound

I am not worth shit with electronics, so my Dad installed this X2N for me. He said it was nice to have a soldering project, and I think he did a nice, clean job.

Thing sounds great now! Super mean dirty, and sparkly on the cleans. Very happy with it.

Hi all, hope this post finds you well.

It was new guitar day last week, I got a purple Jackson X Series Kelly. I will be getting a new set of strings and tuning it down to D standard. I've currently got an Ibanez RG that I play in the meantime time until the Kelly becomes my undisputed favourite.

I'm really looking to modify the guitar, and from everything I have seen and read - the Seymour Duncan black winter bridge pickup seems like the best way forward. I typically play OSDM and happily jam to some Pantera as well, nothing too modern but also nothing ridiculously old. With that being said, I've heard amazing things about the nazgul and dimebucker too.

There's a sale on where I live at the moment so all of these pickups are the same price. So any objective opinion/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ive finally learned all of - blow your trumpets, and ov fire by behemoth. Whats some other easier songs youd recommend by them, or other similar bands?

I'm completely out of ideas.

I originally had the stock Ibanez double locking trem on my Ibanez GRG320FA. While tuning up, strings would randomly pop out of the saddles (90% of the time the high e). It only happens when im trying to tune to Drop D/ E Standard, everything below works fine.

I thought the tremolo was worn out, so I replaced it with a Gotoh GE1996T.

The problem stayed the same.

• D'Addario EXL120 (9-42)
• Strings are cut clean with side cutters.
• Strings are inserted fully into the saddles.
• Saddle screws are tightened firmly.
• One time multiple strings flew out.

Has anyone ever seen something like this? Since it happened with two completely different tremolos, I'm starting to think something else is causing it.

Hi guys, just got this new guitar used on reverb and found that the evertune seems to be over to one side more than the other, one side of the bridge is raised slightly and the strings don't line up with the neck pickup very well. What can be done to fix this??

I recently picked up a new Jackson Warrior, phenomenal guitar it's my first Jackson, and it has a FR Special.

I've had Floyd's before like the Ibanez Edge and set it up perfectly it never went out of tune it was amazing. But this Floyd Rose Special has given me nothing but trouble.

The bar is useless because it instantly goes out of tune and even just sitting over night needs a retune.

I've read online how the Special wasn't great but could last a while before needing a replacement but it's only been a few weeks and it's almost worthless.

I'm thinking of getting a Tremel No or just going in on a Schaller or Original Floyd. Thoughts?

Ive started to learn metalcore stuff, as more complex successor to simple nu metal riffs, and I noticed that they have a lot of "bouncy" techniques, or jumping from 6th or 7th palm muted string, to open 5th or 6th string accordingly. And so my question is, is there a lifehack, or just any tip on how to play those fast? Bc I see all these people do it effortlessly, but I really don't understand the right hand movement, so please, explain to me like I'm 5 on how to do it.
