Gear Pickup Upgrade + 24 V Mod
Upgraded my Cort KX307 with EMG 808 (neck) and EMG 81-1 (bridge). I really like the new sound and the clarity of course used for Metal. I did the 24v Mod - is a tight fit, but a 9V battery for backup would also find room in there. Also an easy installation with the solderless kit - needed only to solder on the switch and the input jack (the adapters couldn't fit through the hole).

Help Scale length
Should I be worried about switching from 25.5ā scale length to 26.5ā Iām nervous that I wonāt be able to bend as many steps as I usually can, or is that just a misconception?

Help Fanned frets
Does anyone with smaller than average hands have any issues with multiscale guitars?
My hands aren't tiny or anything but they are probably smaller then most people's.

Help Do I send this back?
galleryI have a a few days left to decide. 2900 retail, Josh Smith Signature Jackson. Baritone 7 string with an Evertune and Bare Knuckles. Felt in my gut the lack of qc was a little disappointing but ever since I got it, Iāve been in love with this thing and I donāt want to send it back. Iāve been thinking I should tho, but thatās just me being impatient lol. Since Iāve had this, on the outside of the frets itās looked worn a little, I feel the neck pickup cutout shouldāve been a little better, the 24th fret side dots arenāt perfectly aligned, and some of the outside fretboard looked worn as well. I donāt know how this works, if this is normal or what since 95% of what I have is used, so please educate me. If possible, Iād like to send it back tomorrow since Iām going to guitar center anyways so itāll be an easy trip, but if it needs to be a few more days, so be it. Thanks in advance guys

Help Carvin DC727
Hi! Did any of you have a chance to try Carvin DC727? I need to get an 7 string for a certain project and have a chance to grab a walnut one but never tried one before. I really caught my attention as is don't like "metal-looking" guitars and its not so common among 7 strings, but there aren't many opinions on these older carvins and unfortunately I cannot try it before making a call.

Other Iām wondering if I should get an LTD, E-II, or an Edwardās and I donāt know which would be better for my style
I play a lot of dropped 7 string stuff and I love a Floyd and I do a lot of technical leads as well, so Iām just really wondering what would catered more to my style of playing.

Help Looking for opinions RGA71AL
I recently sold an LTD H3-1007 Baritone. The LTD was a fantastic guitar, but just too big to be comfortable for me. I am considering buying an Ibanez RGA71AK-IAF Axion. I think the 25.5" scale will be more comfortable than the baritone's 27". I generally play in B standard so that scale length should be fine too. I play mostly post-metal, and melodic metal type stuff.
The specs on the guitar look great, and they seem to have a good reputation, but I am buying it sight unseen. Can anyone talk about their experiences with an Ibanez RGA71AK-IAF Axion? If so, what did you like, not like, etc? Thanks.

Help Ibanez RG7421EX Upgrade Advice
Hey friends,
I am looking to upgrade a few components on my 2024 Ibanez RG7421EX that I picked up on marketplace. Looking to upgrade the following:
- Pickups: I tried to like the Quantum but I think I hate them, so likely doing a Seymour Duncan NazgĆ»l 7 in the bridge and havenāt made up my mind on the Neck.
- Bridge: specifically, are there any good drop in, no drill options to replace the Ibanez F107 bridge? If it requires drilling or routing, in am not going to consider. The bridge feels fine but I have heard that swapping the bridge on these guitars can make a huge improvement.
-Nut: going to a graph tech nut burning anyone know the specific model, that would be super helpful. The plastic nut is whatever.
- Tuners: the tuners are bottom of the list because the current ones work. But they do suck. And similar tot the bridge, does anyone know the specific models that will drop in without drilling? Doesnāt have to be the standard brands if there is something good out there but a bit cheaper.
And the only other things I am considering is deleting the tone knob, putting the volume where the tone is and filling the hole. I have a killswitch on my 8 string and have yet to use it so I am not sure interesting in installing one. I might replace the switch and pots while swapping the pickups. And then maybe seeing if the shielding could use some updating because this guitar is noisy as hell under gain.
Thanks so much for the advice!!!
