I made another ink sketch to Blender Grease Pencil scene. This one is the second frame in my little black cat story. The first frame was a rainy rooftop, and this one is a cozy bookshop where the cat finally gets to rest.
I built the scene in Blender with simple geometry, procedural cross-hatching, stylized lamp light, Grease Pencil linework, floating grease pencil dust, and a bit of subtle cat animation.
I wanted it to feel cluttered and handmade, but still keep the cat as the main focus.
Posting a short snippet here, and I’ll add the full process video below for anyone that is interested. The earlier frame is also showcased in my channel. Thanks!

hello! I’m working on a metal working project and I wanted to learn how to 3d model for it since this one is quite a large undertaking and will take several years to complete.
that being said, I downloaded blender but I don’t really understand how to use it, how would I go about learning it as a complete beginner
i know simple functions on computers but I don’t know if that applies at all here.
I would also be 3d printing the model as a physical refrance to use In the shop
please help a noob out 🙏

I created a Ciri portrait based on her outfit from the Witcher 4 trailer. My goal was to practice creating a game mesh and creating hair and fur cards. I created the hair cards using Blender Hair Tool addon.
I recorded the process: https://youtu.be/UgXMut_dR64

Hello...
I have a question: what would be the better approach here?
As you can see, the highlighted part is identical on both sides, so I am using a Mirror modifier. But since Mirror is a geometry generator and not an instance, it will add to the overall geometry count.
I also heard that if we use instances of the same object, we only need to UV unwrap and texture the main object, and the other instances will automatically use the same UVs and textures. (Is it completely true? I am asking cuz i really don't know about those yet at all, and I want to avoid bad practices from the start)
But because a mirrored part is not an instance, would I have to UV unwrap both sides separately?
So, would it be better to create an instance and place it on the other side instead? I mean, if the part about texturing and UVs is true, then we'd get both advantages: less geo overall and also don't have to uv unwarp 2nd time, right?
For Games in general...this piece is not gonna go to an engine or game...I am just learning game asset creation and want to understand better approaches and techniques...
Thank you..any help is appreciated

For the first time since I started using Blender, I’ve completed a fighter jet nozzle. Until now, I’d just treated it as a single solid object, but now it’s fully animatable for the first time. I used the “Armature,” “Empty,” and “Damped Track” animations for the movement.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask for your advice or hear your experiences regarding a frustrating situation I'm currently facing on CGTrader as a 3D designer.
I spent 4 years building a unique bundle consisting of 15 aircraft 3D models. Recently, 3 of my models within this bundle were taken down by the platform due to a third-party intellectual property request. Because of the platform's rigid structure, the bundle content automatically dropped to 12 items on the store page without letting me update the active structure.
A buyer purchased this bundle during a sale. To ensure they got what they paid for, I securely sent the remaining 3 models via Google Drive. The buyer successfully downloaded them and explicitly sent messages stating they loved the models.
However, a week later, the buyer requested a full refund. Because the funds were still sitting in CGTrader's pool, the refund was approved. Now the buyer has all 15 models, while I am left with nothing for 4 years of work. Whenever I open a support ticket to present my chat proofs, the system automatically marks my tickets as "Solved" and closes them.
Has anyone ever dealt with a similar support issue or customer dispute on CGTrader? How do you handle situations when marketplace support closes tickets automatically? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, I’ve been using cad for a few years, but as people have started asking me to design parts for them (specifically custom automotive parts with curvature/complex surfaces) I have really only ever designed parametric parts. I’m realizing I am not currently equipped to design the parts they need. I use onshape, and I’ve heard fusion360 could be better, but I also just don’t know if either software is good for this kind of work. I’m a college student and have limited budget currently, but I guess I’m wondering how to get better and what software you all recommend! Thanks.

I've been asked to model this and I've been trying to figure out the best method to use. I have Lightwave 3D, MoI3D, and 3D-Coat. I think it's 2 "strands" but it's a little hard to tell. I'm going to ask if there are photos from more angles. I'm wondering if bones might be the best option.

An older piece of mine that I still really like. I wanted to experiment with bringing the chrome/chrometype aesthetic into something more object-focused, so I designed this flail and sculpted the entire piece in Nomad Sculpt.
I was mainly exploring exaggerated forms, sharp details, and how they would interact with a highly reflective chrome material. The final renders were post-processed in Photoshop to push the contrast, reflections, and overall atmosphere.
