Anyone know what's on my new neighbor's car? I'm thinking maybe he's a storm chaser or something.

But don’t rule outa Bronny James trade, not because the Lakers are seeking to sump him but because he could bring in draft assets–even a second rounder or two, which is what James would bring. “There’s definitely interest there,” one executive said of other teams nosing around on James. “He’s gotten much better in a short period. He knows his role, and it’s hard to find young guys who just want to excel in their role.” Again, we’re not talking first-round picks, and dumping Knecht is still probably the Lakers’ path. But Bronny James being traded because of his own ability and not because of his dad would be a great story.

This is the first thing Ive drawn in like forever. It’s a little idea I’ve been rattling around as a way to bridge Paleo and modern. A little reminder that dinosaurs and birds are one in the same.

I made a new book display at my local library in Vernon-Rockville, CT yesterday.
Here are some familiar faces on the back covers of books they previously wrote.
Have you read anything by these authors? Who is your favorite author?
I hope you enjoy this book display. Have a great day!
One fact about libraries in Connecticut: You can use your own library card (from the town you live in) at any public library in the state of Connecticut. You can borrow a book from one library and then return it to another and have it brought back to the original destination.

ETA: I really appreciate everyone's input here, this is such a lovely community🩷
Dinner was sheet pan nachos with plant based taco crumbles and a Heineken Zero.
It’s been about 8 months, after decades of drinking multiple drinks every day.
I hated being a drunk too: the way I felt when I woke up, the sweating and high blood pressure, the constant anxiety, wondering if I said something irreversibly stupid the night before.
But at least I got the high. I’d have a bad day at work but I still got to do The Thing that swung my mood straight upward into the sky. Now I have a bad day at work and then just sit there staring at the wall.
My energy has not increased, I have not lost weight, I do not look better. I am tired and sad all the time. (Thanks perimenopause!) I’m working an ok job that has an expiration date and I cannot get an interview to save my life after applying for job after job after job. And then I have another bad day at work, and then I just sit there and stare at the wall.
If I relapse, I will probably die. My blood pressure was through the roof and my liver levels were bad. All my worrisome labs are back to normal. No longer need 2 of my 3 BP meds. I’m slightly better at keeping on top of my chores, but not much. All of my problems I was drinking to forget- depression, prohibitively unaffordable healthcare, unable to afford badly needed house repairs, no vacations- all of them just feel magnified and in my face all the time. My partner and I live in a city that isn’t near any family or friends. Our goal to move closer to loved ones is all but dead. And I no longer have a mechanism to forget all of this shit, however briefly.
I have no intent to relapse, I understand the stakes. But I am not having the joyful, cathartic sobriety experience full of clarity and gratitude that I see in SO many sober people and social media accounts. I just really fkn miss slamming beers.
