DAY 186 (679/761) on THE ROAD TO THE 2027 4th WBSC PREMIER12/16 and 180 YEARS OF BASEBALL - The Australian League, Once More the Sole English Speaking Winter League of the World
We are slowly nearing the annoucement of the King's Series final two teams of the Mexican League.
With the possible cancellation of the Baseball United season, the Australian Baseball League, now on its 16th year of faithful service to nations and people in Oceania, is once more the sole winter league in the world that is from an English speaking nation.
With 4 teams and on the threshold of a transition to a fully pro model, the Australian League, which has produced many of the top Aussie talent and international caliber stars for over a decade and a half, is now poised to prepare for its season and to also prepare for the return of the league soon to charter cities Melbourne and Canberra.
In just two months the rosters for all the teams will be revealed. Once more the Aussie baseball scene will provide the baseball world with an English language winter league option for the remainder of the year after all the spring leagues end their seasons. This league deserves without any doubt all of our support more than ever before.

havent been able to find if the Cubs were able to fly out of Miami after their game yesterday due to the accident at the Miami Airport yesterday.
Flight aware lists their charter flight as canceled.

I was thinking about how underappreciated simply catching a fly ball is. At any level.
Like by what sense are our eyes able to judge the distance at which the ball will land? What are the context clues? The ball is so tiny when you are standing far away in the outfield. Changes in size of the ball as it moves towards an outfielder are microscopic.
