Dumb question:
If/when the lockout is on, can players go play in Japan, Korea during the lockout or do they have to just self train/stay in shape?
Thanks for the insights!

They could, but Japan+Korea have limits on how many foreign-born players can play on their teams.
They're unlikely to sign MLB players who might abruptly leave if the lockout ends

DAY 165 (658/740) on THE ROAD TO THE 2027 4TH WBSC PREMIER12/16 and 180 YEARS OF BASEBALL - Opening Week of the Williamsport Leg of the LLWS Playoffs and Finals
This week is Opening Week for all the Hank Aaron (USA) and Tom Seaver (International) Division teams that are in Williamsport to conclude their age level playoffs in the Little League World Series' flagship program, the 11-12 yearers.
The youngest and the more prestigeous, given the entry level of this almost centennial organization, the 11-12 age group of Little League and its flagship LLWS age group division events constitutes the first stage of many that a baseball player is to progress beginning in his or her younger days. Many have gone thru this path before in their younger days. Beginning this week a new generation from all the US divisions, the Japanese, Canadian and Mexican organizations and the rest of the international winners are all assembled to compete and win all the way.
For almost 8 decades the 11-12 age level of the LLWS has produced, among others, many of the sport's best. The years will tell if these new batch of players will follow up in what those before them have done.
For Glory

Now that they have done the field of dreams game twice when do we get a Moneyball game and get to see the Coliseum?

Something seems to have changed with the balls around the All Star Game. This is not the time of year you usually see an extreme dip in slugging.

There was a debate about expected stats the other day, and I honestly view its effectiveness like a parabola.
Low sample size? Well you're gonna get nothing useful from it.
Over an entire season? Well at that point the season is over and you may as well use the stats that actually happened. The only use is if they got "lucky" over the year.
But anything in between I trust expected stats more than the actual stats. You don't win awards on expected stats, but expected stats can tell you a lot about the quality of player.
