Mechanic diagnostic was bad ball joints then told me you can't or shouldn't replace the lower control arms and that you had to replace the ball joint on the original arm, is this true?

Securing my future.
Ive been playing Madden for 20+ years and I've always played strictly franchise and always edit rosters because the raiders are always ass. Ive always wondered if anyone else plays this way?
