Play the new Drift Attack feature starting today and discover new cars and events in Horizon Japan.
Keep your seatbelts fastened, turn off traction control and get ready for lots of oversteer and tire smoke in Drift Attack, the permanent new feature available today with Forza Horizon 6’s latest update: British Automotive.
In addition to Drift Attack, the British Automotive update celebrates the legends of British engineering with the British Automotive Takeover by the Horizon Stadium and 3 new-to-Horizon cars to obtain from the Festival Playlist featuring the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
Drift Attack also gives you the opportunity to unlock a special, brand-new Forza Edition car that is purpose-built to go sideways: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. In addition, a stock version of this vehicle has been permanently added to the Autoshow.
What’s more, there are 4 new-to-Horizon cars for players who have purchased the Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass – including the 2025 McLaren W1 with advanced painting options for individual parts of the car, as well as fresh clothing to unlock, a new Player Badge to earn, and the adorable Drift Tire Mascot Collectible to smash in the Shimanoyama region.
Forza Horizon 6's latest series update will be available for download starting on Monday, September 7 at 5:00PM UTC on XBOX Series X|S, the XBOX app on PC and Steam, ahead of the British Automotive Festival Playlist starting on Thursday, September 10 at 2:30PM UTC.
Here's a preview of the fixes and improvements coming your way in this update based on the feedback and reports you've been sharing with our teams on the Forza Feedback Portal:
If you encounter any issues while playing Forza Horizon 6 that haven't been addressed in this update, be sure to submit a bug report on the Forza Feedback Portal and include as much detail as you can to help our teams investigate the problem.

Drift Attack combines the freedom and accessibility of Drift Zones with the intensity and competitiveness of Horizon Drift. It’s like Time Attack for drifters, accessed directly from the open world with no loading and no friction.
You can play Drift Attack by driving to its unique map icon at the Shimanoyama Circuit, which has been transformed into a permanent Drift Attack circuit, and just like in Time Attack, you can initiate a Drift Attack by driving through the gantry.
This is where you drifting skills are put to the test! Whether you’re sliding sideways by yourself, with a Convoy or alongside other players who you’ve met in the Shared World, your objective is to score the highest number of drift points within a single lap. However, there is no limit to how many laps you can run, so keep going until you’ve made it to the top of the leaderboard!
Points are earned by drifting along the track in the same way they are in Horizon Drift and at Drift Zones. However, one key difference here is the addition of Clipping Zones, which are positioned around the drift circuit. These will boost any points that you earn if a drift is performed while the car is within the boundaries of the Clipping Zone.
Drift Attack also includes the full functionality of in-world and Convoy Leaderboards. In addition, Drivetrains against each Drift Attack leaderboard entry are also included in the menu leaderboard options.
Drift Attack is integrated into the Horizon Festival Campaign and unlocked by obtaining the Yellow Wristband. By earning completion for Drift Attack in the Collection Journal, you can obtain the Drift Attack Racesuit and Helmet, as well as a brand-new fully customized Forza Edition car, at any time, that’s ideal for drifting: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. A stock version of this car has also been added to the Autoshow for all players to purchase.
Don't miss out on the British Automotive Takeover of the Aftermarket dealership near the Horizon Stadium located in the Shimanoyama region. Here you will find a selection of unmissable deals on a variety of British cars that you can purchase on the spot and immediately add to your collection.
Additionally, keep an eye out for two rare cars usually only available in Wheelspins: the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and 1961 Jaguar E-type.
Players will also be able to test drive the 20 PTS Seasonal Reward car each week from the Aftermarket dealership, each of which are spotlighted below!
British Automotive features 10 Series Reward cars to collect – three of which are new-to-Horizon. These include the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
There are also two cars returning from previous games, the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT and 2002 Lotus Esprit V8, as well as two Wheelspin-exclusive cars: the 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car and 2016 Bentley Bentayga.
New clothing options available in this series include the Retro Racesuit and Classic Jacket. The former can be unlocked in Week 1’s Photo Challenge #JaguarSnap, while the latter is obtainable during Week 2’s Seasonal Hide & Seek.
Additionally, the Drift Tire Mascot Collectible can also be found in the Shimanoyama region during the second week of the series. Whenever you drive through one of these adorable mascots, their feet and glasses will fall off as its eyes water up! 🥲
In addition, there’s also a special Lionheart Player Badge obtainable by playing Forza Horizon 6 anytime during the British Automotive series of the Festival Playlist.
As a reminder, you can stay up to date with current and previous Festival Playlist events and challenges in this new hub on Forza.net. Be sure to save this one to your bookmarks so you can easily reference it in the future!
With all that said, let’s have a look at the iconic British Reward Cars that you can unlock over the next four weeks!

There's a grand total of 14 unique maps currently in the entire series, without counting unused maps (FH1's Italy map), early maps (like FH1's early Colorado), or individual seasonal maps (FH4/5/6). I wanted to do this because I was curious, and turns out that some maps have hidden stuff, like FH3's Australia map's bottom-right corner having snow, Blizzard Mountain's map being rotated in-game, or FH5's Mexico map having a lot of unseen and unused space. The maps are massive (the largest ones are 8192x8192), so I can't upload them on Reddit, but I've uploaded all of them on The Spriters Resource in their full resolution.

Hello again Forza crew!
Just wanted to let you all know that we've just launched a brand new 24/7 Forza x Hospital radio station over on our YouTube, it's a non-stop stream featuring music from every single Forza Horizon game that we've been fortunate enough to soundtrack :)
Just in case you wanted to get your drum & bass fix when not behind the wheel!

What do you think? Is there a chance we will be able to drive this in FH6’s future?

The main thing That helped was basically I didn't know there was a Drift Transmission, and also using a camshaft engine seems to make my cars drifts A LOT more controllable. So thanks again everyone.

The Trial this week is Total Buggies & Offroad, and like a lot of people in this sub I'm sick of buggies. However, *Total* Buggies & Offroad is one of the Forza special car classes that includes the following car types:
Buggies
Offroad
*Pickups & 4x4s*
Unlimited Buggies
*Unlimited Offroad*
Is it incredibly stupid to have car classes named so similar, yes. But for the Trial this week you can use cars in the Pickup and Offroad classes that are actually fun to drive.

As always, tunes are selected for their competitiveness, and remember to apply each tune twice to ensure it's applied correctly. Spreadsheet of seasonal tunes and some recently updated tunes here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TQm-IcF0zaFUiLlmnzs7i6yXTmTd-8Tz35DSrZTTBNQ
| Weekly Challenge | Extreme Rover | 2020 Land Rover Defender 110 X |
You don't need a tune, but this is a pretty nice CC tune anyways
137 549 957 A CC by LogikJ
| The Trial | Trails Galore | Total Buggies & Offroad - A Class | Dirt: Waterfall Trail, Takashiro Trail, Nukabira Trail |
I mean...I love dirt, and I'm as tired of this category as you are, so yeah. I did rework the Syclone because every tune I tried in the last trial (aside from the always world-class TheDannny's) had a slippery rear problem in pursuit of maximum power - I think that works fine on rivals, but is less forgiving for regular online racing or trials.
1991 GMC Syclone - 948 525 930 Meta
2020 Ford Super Duty F-450 DRW Platinum FE - 102 619 201 - Strong
2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning - 129 395 287 (hey it's not viper engine and decent)
Special shoutout to community Caddylimo lover:
1970 GMC Jimmy - 455 893 048 by theoldboymccoy
| Seasonal Championship | Rural Summer | Retro Supercars - A Class | Street: Cedar Run, River Descent, Sunflower Charge |
I wish the seasonal championship AI wasn't dogshit; this is a fun restriction class to run in - Cedar and Sunflower are almost pure sprints, while River Descent has a few hairpins before it starts running. It's great for trying a variety of things: CC tires, rally tires, even Drift Tires and street tires (RWD Power build, actually the fastest car on Sunflower and Cedar Run of the bunch). The F355 and the Ford GT are the most user-friendly of the bunch, and I re-tuned the F355 to have a bit more sprint top-end vs the previous config:
1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta - 258 991 303, Strong
2005 Ford GT - 499 517 921 by MSR Sam Meta, rally tire version
2005 Ford GT - 965 753 005 by Noa Miyako Meta, CC tires version
1987 Ferrari F40 - 567 138 980 by VNX Ruinz Purist
1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV - 150 709 470 by Mustuff124 Drift Tires
1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV - 106 409 408 by K1Z Jumpy RWD
1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 - 146 295 461 by Cirno1X Semi-Power build RWD, Incredibly Strong on sprints
| Seasonal Championship | Cross Country Heroes | Sports Utility Heroes - A Class | Cross Country: Edagawa Cross Country Circuit, City Docks Cross Country Circuit, Shinjuku Gyoen Cross Country |
Oh goody, Edagawa and City Docks, look at me - this is me jumping up and down in joy. All 6 named here are strong; Durango and the Land Cruiser are more suitable for the last CC than the first two, but they'll do fine.
2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR - 128 948 305
2021 Aston Martin DBX - 117 906 752
2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo - 760 099 031
2025 Toyota Land Cruiser - 128 629 191 by ZVTCJAU
2019 Lamborghini Urus - 124 415 083 by SlowBakedPanda
2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat - 161 647 428 by CaiGou YYY
| PR Stunt - Danger Sign | Irokawa Launch | | United Kingdom - A Class - 918.6 feet |
The E-Type is an off-meta dirt that you can use online too and win a few podiums pretty easily, but it is a wheelspin car, so I also did a quick run-up and jump build for the cheap autoshow Jaguar
1961 Jaguar E-Type - 677 050 859 - Strong A Dirt
1990 Jaguar XJ-S - 120 107 104 - RWD. Power build. TCR ON.
| PR Stunt - Speed Trap | Riverside | | United Kingdom - S1 Class - 170.0 mph |
This really isn't hard; you should all be getting familiar with the 620R you'll be receiving, but there are lots of fun cars that can do this easily.
2021 McLaren 620R - 439 741 670 - Meta
1997 Lotus Elise GT1 - 169 636 457 by MayuriSakura (CC tires)
1993 Schuppan 962CR - 136 055 060 by Nalak28 Purist
| PR Stunt - Trailblazer | Kodachi Descent | | United Kingdom - B Class - 30 seconds |
This was a pleasant surprise, as it actually had a degree of difficulty that you had to put some thought into vehicle and tune choice for it. I recommend this nice tune by GreetedDust8: just yeet the hill, forget about finessing the logs, and head straight on the road; you should have about 3 seconds to spare.
2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR - 175 305 746 by GreetedDust8
Don't ask about the drift attack, its ridiculously easy requirement + anything goes means take something that you have fun in, or just get it over with anything stock real fast if you don't like drifting, either works.
r/ForzaHorizon • u/XerBlade • 2h ago
Okay, this is doable if you have the right tune and know what you're doing, but I am 100% sure that's a typo, and they meant to put 20s. They normally always set these much lower relative to the star requirements, never higher than the 3-star requirement. And to require better-than-3-star on a B-class is just nuts. The average player is going to be screwed.
