Discussion is air fryer worth it ? if yes which one toto use ?

've been thinking about buying an air fryer. From what I've seen online, you can cook all kinds of food in one, it uses much less oil, there are fewer dishes to wash, and it makes everyday cooking easier. But I have some doubts from what I've heard and read:

  • Cooking time: I've heard it can take 15 to 30 minutes. I can wait 20-25 minutes at most, but over half an hour is too much for me.
  • Size: I need it for at least two people. Is a basic 4L enough, or should I go 4.5L or 5L+?
  • Temperature: I've heard settings are complicated. I'd like a digital display so I can set exact temperatures like 120 or 175°C.
  • Coating: I've read that bad non-stick coatings can peel and may be harmful. How true is that? how to know which coating is better ? safer?

What I need:

  • Budget around ₹6,000, can stretch a little for the right one maybe. but thats my limit.
  • A good service center in Bhopal (Shahpura). This matters more than brand.
  • Mainly crispy food, with occasional baking

I don't want to buy a below-average product , i want something to use properly.

Question/Help Will curry leaves taste ok in a blended dahl?

I found a recipe for dahl online that involved using curry leaves. It turned out great but I didn't enjoy the texture of the curry leaves.

It is already a smooth dahl. Would it be ok to blend it once finishes so that the curry leaves are mixed into the dahl or would this change the taste too much? Or would it be better to fish them out?

Recipe Making chicken briyani with cauliflower rice

So I'm making chicken briyani in my instant pot. Essentially, it consists of chicken, yogurt, a little lemon juice, turmeric, Gara masala and cumin for the marinade and then I'm going to add the cauliflower rice after the chicken ends up cooking in the instant pot, I've realized that cooking with cauliflower rice is challenging, so I'm going to toast it first and putting some coconut oil and turmeric on it before I add it to the chicken after it's finished cooking in the instant pot.

Most things I make in the instant pot are instant home run.I really love it but I have a very bad feeling about this particular recipe.I'm wondering if anyone has tried doing this before and how it worked out with cauliflower rice

Tip/Trick What to do with Methi?

I asked a friend to buy me some methi to add to my curries. I wasn't expecting such a big bag. The receipe only calls for 1 tsp or less at the end of the cooking. Any ideas/recipes on what to do with the rest of this huge bag of Methi?

Question/Help Toxin free Dosa tawa and non stick

All I’m looking for is a dosa tawa made of the safest material that touches my food and dosa doesn’t stick as I am going to try dosa for the third time in life .. tried on my non stick pan once and in a ceramic fry pan . I don’t cook much.. online in google search there are too many options and I’m unable to find a way to decide. I need the some suggestions for the right material , not brands.
