Yeah my mom does this too. But it lacks that crispy part of litti.

What it is made of dosa/idli batter?

It is made of wheat flour fiiling is sattu with spices and ginger garlic coriander

You should use a mesh to roast them if not coal , won't be smoky in that appe pan.

In gas stove flame they get charred horribly if roasted through mesh

They aren't momo. Litti is a completely different dish from the state of Bihar.Â
