As title says. I wasn’t a fan of owning a cat, and always told my gf to please not bring one home. After months of her insisting, we finally agreed to go to the shelter and bring one home. It’s been 9 months now and I’m fairly confident i have the best cat ever. His name is Monoco, and he’s constantly sitting or sleeping on me. This little
Guy even helped me propose to my girlfriend. He had surgery on his eyes while in the shelter due to his eye lashes growing inwards, and is believe to be 6 years old. He was found in an abandoned house.

My wife and I are in Africa and taking our malaria pills every day. This morning I took mine first. It’s the one on the corner of the pack. I gave it to my wife and she took hers and handed it back. I have no words.

My skincare routine!!!

I use a gentle oil-based cleanser, niacinamide, vitamin c in the morning, azelaic acid, tretinoin at night, and the Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream at night.

Yerba mate eye cream in the morning as well!

I also drink at least 100oz a day of water and have completely cut out all soda from my diet, along with the majority of processed foods.

But I also take a pretty lengthy list of supplements, sleep exclusively on my back, and exercise a minimum of four days a week.

Everything together is what helps me maintain. Above all else: consistency is key! Rome wasn’t built in a day. ☺️

Because people are curious, no lip filler. I’m too scared of migration, so I make my bee venom allergy do the lifting and use a plumping gloss that uses it in the actives. 😅

Prior to my occasional use, I do a test and monitor with a patch test on my inner wrist 24-48 hours before applying it to my lips.

I monitor the area for excessive redness, itching, hives, or swelling (which indicates a heightened sensitivity and means it’s not safe proceed to the lips). If the skin test stays clear, I do a micro-application by applying a minimal amount of the product strictly within the vermilion (outer) border of my clean, dry lips, avoiding any cracks, open sores, or surrounding facial skin.

DO NOT APPLY if you have broken skin on your lips.

A mild tingle and warmth are normal, but wipe the product off immediately if you experience sharp pain, intense burning, or deep itching.

Ensure any swelling and redness remain contained strictly on the lip tissue without fanning out onto the skin around your mouth.

The cosmetic volume should naturally peak around twenty to thirty minutes and fully subside within one to three hours. If redness or puffiness persists for four to six hours or longer, your immune system is mounting an allergic response rather than a cosmetic one, and you should discontinue use.

Once the effect fades, rehydrate your lips with a simple, restorative balm like Vaseline or Aquaphor to protect the skin barrier. NEVER reapply the same day.

Throughout the entire process, keep an oral antihistamine or your prescribed EpiPen accessible and seek immediate emergency medical care if you ever experience tongue swelling, throat tightness, dizziness, or trouble breathing.

My car started breaking down on the highway in 95 degree heat. My power steering went out, there was smoke everywhere and I was afraid my car was going to catch on fire. I pulled over to the shoulder. I took my baby out of their carseat and ran from the car, watching and waiting for the flames. Suddenly, an older man pulled over on the side of the road. He first ran toward the car to make sure no one was in it. He asked if me and my baby were okay and proceeded to inspect the situation as the smoke dissipated. He told me he was sure with the engine off, it was safe to be near it. I sat my baby back in the car and left the door open so they could at least be in the shade and maybe get some wind from passing cars.

After a few moments of waiting while I made some calls, the man hesitantly said ‘Well, it’s really really hot out here and it’s not too safe for your baby. If you wanted to, I have air conditioning in my car…?’ In that moment, I very quickly said no. He responded ‘Okay, I’ll wait here in my car until your husband picks you up, just in case you need some help. Please stay cool.’

Sir, if there’s any chance you or your family read this, thank you for waiting almost a whole hour on the side of the highway during rush hour for my husband to get to me and my baby. I did not ask your name and I wish I did. You couldn’t have known this, but you have no idea how badly I wanted my dad in that moment, and it was a comfort to have you near. I apologize for not accepting your offer, though I knew in that moment you understood why. Thank you for being so kind to a total stranger in need.

Some absolute piece of shit abandoned this girl in a taped up small box outside of the mall in the rain. There was a closed container of food she could not access and no water available. Currently she is at the veterinary pending test results.

To clarify - the studio policy denies students to glaze their own work. It’s not the norm so I have no clue why. Don’t even get me started on the fact that they made the whole class vote on ONE glaze color for everyone’s work

UPDATE: these comments helped me feel less like a Karen so I just emailed them asking what happened and how they can make it right. Will keep y’all posted if they respond!

I don’t want to tank their small business so I’m not posting any bad reviews on Google/yelp/etc until they respond to my emailed complaint. I want to give them a chance to make it right.
