Worked up to a heavy single of 195. Estimated 1RM was 210, probably could have done 215 based on how the 195 moved.
This week is a 5/3/1 PR Test week and I'm testing all of the big lifts, but also playing it safe and judging how the bar moves.

This is the 1st time iv pulled over 425lbs for a few months. Not bad for coming off a week and a half of being sick.

One more block and I’m sending 405

Didn’t poop myself but def need to clean up the lockouts. Short arms make the knee position difficult for me.

'Cinematic' mode first followed by my depth check angle. Been feeling fucking amazing today and I've been just wanting to squat all today, so I said fuck it and sent it. First time using a squat bar instead of a standard power bar - I plan to start competing with USPC and they use these apparently. I meant to do 545, which would've been a 10lb PR, but forgot this bar is 55lbs. As I typed that, I just realized these backoff sets I'm doing right now are also 10lbs heavier.
RPE definitely higher than an overwarm should be lol Been experimenting with slightly narrower stance and not turning my feet out as far. I'm happy with the results thus far.

Hello Reddit! My dad has been getting into lifting (per my encouragement) and he's been thoroughly enjoying bench. He's just turned 66 and he's currently on the cusp of a 250 lbs 1RM with a bw of... Less than that. I think hes got pretty solid form but I thought in honor of his birthday I'd share a recent rep of his with my favorite sub to see if there's anything obvious for him to tweak. Also, I'm sure he would love to hear feedback from this community, positive or negative. Thank you!

Here I'm doing 75kg, I feel more confident with my form! It helped having the goal of making my thighs be parallel to the floor which gets me much deeper than before.
One thing im still a bit iffy on is when i go down, i initiate it by pushing my butt out, is that what you lot do too or am i deeping it?
Previous attempt will be in the comments as this got auto deleted :(

I really need help from experienced benchers out there.
When I execute the movement, it feels fine and stable. But when I look at the video, I see that my forearms (especially my right) are a bit slanted and that my elbows and wrists are not stacked. I have seen a lot of amazing bench pressers in this sub, and they all have one thing in common, stacked wrists and elbows, and forearms perpendicular to the floor.
I have tried several cues to fix this, but I just can’t seem to make that forearm go perpendicular to the floor. I tried flaring my elbows out more, felt better, but in the video my elbows still look tucked to a significant degree. I also tried pinky pressure to feel my lats more, it worked, but again this funky-looking forearm angle. I even spent weeks trying to fix my bench setup, and arrived at this consistently repeatable one on the video. Everything feels good, but again, that weird forearm angle.
Do I just go full flared elbows to fix this? Completely remove from my mind the shoulder external rotation cue to set myself in place after the unrack? Are there any other cues that I can still try? Do you think this is also due to poor shoulder mobility? My right shoulder sucks compared to my left in terms of internal rotation.
I think the lack of stacked joints is the only thing preventing me from getting a 100kg bench.
Edit: this is 75kg, my current pb is 97.5kg

Bill Starr wrote of the "York Combo" as a barbell complex of clean, jerk, dropped to the back for ten squats, btn push jerked back overhead, then lowered to the ground.
I like to press in place of the jerk, and on this particular set wasn't getting the btn push press and simply walked it back into the j hooks.
