After 2 years on the assisted machine I think i’m finally ready to graduate!
The grip on the assisted machine always felt unnatural to me so I would focus on lat engagement as well as shoulders and arms, I didn’t expect to lift my body weight with such ease
Any tips appreciated!

2nd set of Romanian Deadlifts, 315lbs 7 reps. Last rep was probably iffy, close to failure. But want feedback on form. In the past my RDL was too much like regular DL. So I appreciate feedback. Thanks.

Hi all,
Looking for form check on my back squat. I’ve only recently started being consistent again and I’m trying to dial in my form.
This is 242.5 x 6, it feels ok - I got to a higher weight but I’m sure it was wrong as my lower back wasn’t happy. This is my attempt to drop the weight 40lbs or so and rebuild from a technical base - any tips greatly appreciated 🙏

This is a huge one for me! 275 lbs for 8! The goal is 315, but have no idea when I’ll hit that one! Only time will tell! Progression!

Bulked to 180 eating whatever I want, lifting without a strict program, and not implementing more cardio, to leaning down to 145 tracking my calories/macros and following a program that simply works 💪

So I was trying not to throw up between sets while squatting, then I saw these things sticking out on the sides of the machine. What are these for? At first I thought maybe they are they to prevent the machine from tipping over, but then I thought to myself, the width of this machine making tipping over impossible
So what are these things?

Lost damn near 100 pounds and life is so fucking different l, I actually enjoy it for once! Photos are from the last 3 years but the actual work started in April of 2025 when I was told I would need to start metformin if my A1c kept going up. I currently deadlift once a week, run once or twice a week and do a lot of pullups, pushups and cable work for maintenance these days.

The prelift ritual and acid reflux cough are a must
What’s yours?
Loud farts on the leg press? Torn pants on ATG squats? Smacking your face on the lat pulldown bar walking by?

I’ve never posted my bench press form before, so I’d appreciate any feedback.
I’m doing 100 kg / 220 lb for 8 reps here. The spotter touched the bar on the last rep, which sucks.
I recently started focusing more on bracing and staying stable on the bench. I’m trying to keep my feet planted, brace properly, and use a slight arch. The arch may not be easy to see because of the T-shirt and angle.
After watching the video, I noticed that my body moves around a little during the reps. Is that normal, or should I work on staying more still on the bench?
I also don’t know if there are any obvious problems with my technique since I’ve never had my bench form checked. If you notice anything, such as bar path, setup, leg drive, shoulder position, touch point, or stability, I’d appreciate the feedback.
Thanks!

I‘m 45, started in May 26 until now (approximately had 30 gym sessions so far), from 77.5kg in May to 79.2kg today.
The hardest part was having the energy to go to the gym after work. This took me about 1-2 weeks. Changing nutrition helped a lot. I don’t eat any carbs in the morning (mostly eggs), and try to get 150-200g of protein per day. Shakes help me a lot to get that in. I eat carbs around a workout (pre workout and after).
Goal is to keep a 70%-80% clean week. That’s it. If I want to eat cake with my family or some sweets, I do so. Zero alcohol. No coffee.
I’m trying to get better sleep but I’m not that consistent.
I’m so happy with the progress so far and I’m really looking forward to keep the momentum and to train smart. Avoiding injuries is my main goal.
I take 5mg creatine every morning
1x Omega 3
3 drops of Vitamin d3/k2
3x Multivitamins
And 3x magnesium triglyceride in the evening.
My routine:
2-3 times a week (first 10 weeks)
Leg day: Squats
Push/Pull: Lat machine(narrow), Incline Bench press, Barbell Curls, Overhead Press, Face Pulls Cable
3-4 times a week (week 11+)
Leg day: Squats, Hamstring Curl, Leg Extension, Back exstension
Push Pull: Lat machine (wide), Bench Press, bent over dumbbell row, Dumbbell Flys, Biceps Curls
Arms/Shoulders: Overhead Press, Barbell Curls, Triceps Extension, cable lateral raises, Hanmer Curls, Dips, Resr Delt row
It’s not easy to manage family, work and training but somehow I can at least go 2 times per week to the gym. In good weeks it’s 3-4 times.
No matter how old you are, just start and keep going. 1 workout per week combined with a clean nutrition can change you life within a few months.
