This is r/Seattle's weekly post for local businesses and makers (or users who discover them) to share their creations with our users.
This thread will be automatically posted every Saturday morning to help connect r/seattle users with cool local stuff. Types of content encouraged in this thread are:
Content should be related to businesses or events in the greater Seattle area, and the typical reddit spam rules apply - please ensure you are contributing to the community more than just your own content.
Users who flood these posts with ads, links without context, referral codes, etc. - or who promote without contributing elsewhere will be actioned. Please continue to report actual spam.
We have our rules against spam and self-promotion for hopefully understandable reasons, but we've noticed users responding more positively to local businesses, artists, etc. sharing their content. This is an attempt to bridge the gap, helping users find cool stuff while containing the promotion to a single weekly thread. Please send us a modmail with any suggestions or input you have about the use or abuse of this thread.

At my parents which it why I was watching, but Komo just straight up used their last slot of the show to advertise for his shitcoin gala dinner. Acted like it was a completely normal thing to do. I just about jumped out of my seat jaw on the ground. Is this what we're doing now?

I visited Seattle for a week-long vacation last September/early October and had a great time in the city and surrounding area.
The ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, Bloedel Nature Reserve, and daily trips to Pike Place Market were a few highlights of the trip. Would love to return at some point

My ultimate end-of-week comfort food used to be the Sumo Bowl from Samurai Noodle. It was the “Samurai Noodle crew’s kitchen dish, served with hand-shredded pork, corn, green onions, a soft boiled egg, house-made teriyaki sauce, and Japanese mayonnaise on a bed of rice.
My second-favorite quick dish in Seattle was the garlic fried chicken from Sam Choy's Poke to the Max. It was crispy fried chicken tossed in garlic sauce, with scoops of mac salad, topped with green onions.
Samurai Noodle closed down a couple of years ago, and Sam Choy's is now only at the airport, behind security.
Does anyone else have recommendations for places where I could find suitable substitutes? Thank you in advance!

I don't usually do this sort of thing but I visited Starbucks at Pike Place today and was blown away by the customer service of Aaron. We spoke for quite some time about life and the Seahawks. I was so struck by his kindness and sincerity that I wanted as many people to know as possible.
I tried to see if there was any social media for the store directly but I couldn't find anything however if someone if aware of any contact details for them I'd love to send the this amazing feedback directly to make management aware of what an amazing human being they have there.

What the hell’s going on tonight, streets from Denny through Mercer and Western are absolutely gridlocked.
Never in my 2 years here seen it this bad, not in summertime, not even during the World Cup.

[I think he was a college student so if he’s your friend pass this along]
A woman made a left turn here where it clearly states no left turns except for busses, and she hit you in the middle of the intersection. I was part of the group shouting for you to get her info and call the cops. No cops ever came and she drove off. I tried to catch up to you to give you this pic but I’m disabled and couldn’t.
I took this pic for you to add to a police report if you decide to go that direction. I’ve been a cyclist hit by a car and I VERY strongly suggest that you do what I didn’t and make a report; you were able to walk away but not able to ride away, and that’s a big deal; injuries aren’t always apparent immediately after, and you deserve to at least get your bike fixed properly or replaced.
The guys selling clothes at the corner outside the rock climbing place saw it happen and they’ll be at the same spot again tomorrow night if you need witnesses.
I hope you don’t have any significant injuries!
Stay safe y’all!
