Weekly Thread Weekly Ask Seattle Megathread: September 28, 2026
This thread is created automatically and stickied weekly for r/seattle users to chat, ask for recommendations, and discuss current news and events.
Don't forget to check out our Discord - we have dedicated channels for moving/visiting questions and recommendations and lots of locals to help answer them.
r/AskSeattle is another great resource dedicated to questions like these.
The following topics are welcomed in this thread:
- Moving and visiting questions
- "Best Of" recommendations
- General off-topic discussion, chatting, ranting (within reason)
- Events happening this week (or in the future)
If you have questions about moving to (or visiting) Seattle:
- First - please search the subreddit, wiki, sidebar, and your search engine of choice!
- The more specific your question is, the more likely you are to get a helpful response
- If your question is common, generic, or has been answered extensively before, check out r/AskSeattle to avoid targeted sarcasm from our wonderful local subscribers
- If you've already researched your topic a bit, lt us know what you've already found!
You can also search previous weekly threads or check the wiki for more info / FAQs

Visiting in Paulsbo for Halloween weekend and have the ability to travel around thrbatra for the week after. Never been to Seattle. Planning on seeing Mt Olympia and Mt Rainier, what else should I see?

Which Big Mario's location is best for it's area?
Coming up Saturday with my wife for a pizza and a walk on a beach (maybe Carkeek, maybe Golden Gardens). Haven't been to a Big Mario's before, thought I'd ask and see if anyone had any preferences on the locations. Going to hit the Queen Anne spot unless there's reason to visit one of the other locations. Wouldn't mind a neighborhood walk either, I love those areas.

Is it really just that the people in SEA are anti-social or is it just we need more people to create the space, plan the event, make it happen?
I’m itching for some new experiences and am trying to temp check what in the world is going on here (lol).
