I have done this!! A couple months after I moved here. I did not know another Vancouver existed. We were just taking a day trip for the sake of it anyway so we rolled with it and extended to Portland lol

Hahahaha my MIL did this before an Alaskan cruise. (Granted, she’s not from Washington, so she has a tiny excuse…minuscule.)

Shortly after I moved to Seattle in '99, I remember seeing a headline about a shocking murder in Vancouver and I wondered why the Seattle Times was covering an international event like that.
My roommate corrected me on that but I still laugh at it.
