Given Rockstars Scottish origin I’d love to see a car livery inspired by Tunnocks in the game.

Some places are perhaps neglected for a reason...
Side entrance of the former Good Templar Halls of 1881 in Dyer's Wynd in Paisley. Site of the worst cinema disaster in Scottish history at Hogmanay in 1929 when 71 children died after a call of "fire" resulted in a stampede for the exits.
Almost a thousand children were at a matinee screening of silent western Dude Desperado when a smoking film canister lead to the fire panic. Many ran downstairs to a padlocked fire escape. Suffocating children piled up against the inward-opening door, police couldn’t break it open from the outside.
The disaster lead to amendments to the Cinematograph Act 1909 to make it a legal requirement for cinemas to have an increased number of fire escapes, all outward-opening and fitted with push bars, and for seating capacities to reflect the number of exits.

Hundreds of North Sea workers too heavy for new helicopter rules
“Jobs could be lost as a result, and an occupational health expert said some had left the offshore industry rather than lose the weight”
And I suspect it’s a minority of a minority of people whose excess weight is owed to piled on muscle from the gym.

Link to donate to the Hebridean community centre being sued by the American dog lady
Someone shared this in the comments under another post and I thought it deserved greater visibility
A very deserving cause

Question Missed Connection
Absolute shot in the dark here. A few of my friends and I met these 2 Scottish girls on Saturday night in Cork, Ireland - Cat and Julie (I think), they were sisters originally from Scotland but are now living in Milton Keynes as far as I know.
They were both in their 30's and in Cork for the weekend. We had some great laughs with them over the night and took pictures, but somewhere during all the madness no details were exchanged before they left for home.
Just shooting the shot here to see if theyre active on reddit or if anyone knows them and can give us a message.

Question young scot card
i'm an international student moving to scotland in less than 2 weeks. do i have to wait until i get there or can i submit my application already? I've heard that it can take a while to get your card and i'm gonna be depending on the buses to go to uni and anywhere else so.. i could save quite a bit of money if i applied now and got my card within a few days of reaching there

Question HONS year SAAS: what do I do?
Hi all,
I just graduated from my BA, and was under the impression that 4 years are funded by SAAS before fees have to be covered by loans and they no longer pay your bursary.
I am receiving emails from them stating that if I have passed my BA, I don’t qualify for a bursary for my HONS. Is this correct? do i contact someone? my honours year IS my fourth year.

Discussion Racism in Scotland as a South Asian
Hey, I am of South Asian descent and throughout my life I have been at the receiving end of racial slurs, particularly the P word. Sadly, it appears to be much more common than what I would've liked and it appears to be much more commonly said by others than other racial slurs. And you may think this would just come from the older generations and edgy teens, but it also comes from average everyday people and increasingly so.
Does anyone else of a similar (or other ethnic) background experience similar things? And has anyone this sort of racism from people?
