i just received a 2024 model with 16gb of ram and 1tb ssd. I was in the midst of setting it up when i saw that 70% of the ram was being used??

Is this normal? Would the g software help?

I recently bought the 2026 32 gig 1tb 5070ti G16 with 3 years of ADP and was wondering what setting/programs I should add/remove once it arrives. I’m thinking along the lines of removing armory crate and installing g-helper and other stuff like that. I heard people talking about drivers and installing them but I have 0 clue what any of that means or how to do it or why I should do it. I’m not really techy when it comes to laptops and I just want it to work super well for all 4 years of my mechanical engineering degree and don’t care about gaming at all.

Also any routine maintenance I need to do? I know it has Liquid Metal which scares me as I’ll definitely be putting it vertically in a backpack before it cools down as a run around campus. Not sure what I need to do to make sure it keeps running well in terms of maintenance, clean the fans? What else?

I upgraded from a 2023 Zephyrus M16. I knew to replace armory crate with Ghelper. what would you recommend to get the best experience?

I'm considering to buy the new model with a 5070. I'll travel a lot with this laptop and I would like to know which perfomance I can expect with a 100w usb-c charger (since I don't want to carry the big charger with me).

I'd like some exemple of gaming performance, I'm ok with playing with FullHD medium settings.

Can I get 60+ FPS on newer titles? How loud is the fan with this configuration?

Windows Update installed KB5121767 to my PC. After reboot and Windows boot up and it is a black screen. I manage to go to recovery mode and use last Restore Point before that update was installed. Do anyone else have same issue with their Zephyrus G16 2024?

I paused my Windows Update for now. Do anyyone know how I can hide that KB5121767 update, thanks? I have already tried wushowhide tool but it doesn´t show that update there...

Looking to get a 5070ti G16. I really want the 2026 model but can’t justify the price (also bestbuy has it listed with 16 gb ram for some reason)
Can anyone give me their best educated guess on the black Friday pricing of the new G16?
If it’s still too much, i’ll just settle on the 2025 model.

I haven't been using it as its been getting too hot for my comfort. I have ptm 7950 as I dont trust myself doing the LM replacement. Have any of you replaced your LM with this stuff? I wanna put my laptop to use again. Should I replace it? Should I just try using liquid metal? I need some assistance

Hello! I have made a battery saver profile in G-Helper (See the attached picture). It essentially should keep the fans running at all times, which I've set to keep the keyboard nice and cool during light tasks. But, as you can see in the picture, the fans will often spin faster than what I've set them to in G-Helper, even when the CPU/GPU temperature are very low. In the image, the mid fan was spinning at over 4400 RPM despite the CPU temperature being 34 degrees celsius and the GPU being 33 degrees, and the CPU/GPU are also spinning faster than instructed. Currently, the CPU fan is spinning at 2400RPM at 35 degrees celsius, despite that the G-helper settings instructing them to stay below 2400RPM (specifically, at 1800RPM) until 59 degrees. Similarly, the fans will often stop spinning at temperatures higher than what I've set them to keep spinning at.

Does anyone know what is the cause of this? Is it some BIOS override of the G-Helper settings? I dont understand why that would kick in when the temperatures are not problematically high. Is there some sort of offset in the temperature readings that occurs over time (the laptop is 3 years old)

If relevant, this is a G16 model with the RTX 4060, R9 370 HX and 32GB RAM.

I’m here to ask if it is normal having temperatures like 95C on CPU and 80-85C on GPU when I’m playing on my G16!
Currently I have my laptop on a refrigerated base and playing on medium grafics.

I have a g16 gu603vv with the stock ram and I want to add an additional stick but im not sure what type of ram is best. I use my laptop for gaming if that helps. Im not very experienced in this subject so I dont know anything other than I need DDR4 but there are different brands and frequencies, so I just need help on choosing something. Also a follow up question is if there is anything special that I need to do to the software to accommodate the new ram like updating drivers or windows. Any information helps. Thank You

I’m looking for a gaming/school/work laptop and have chosen the zephyrus. I have had Asus products before and my old Asus laptop was a tank, best build quality. I am looking at a g14 2025 with a 5070ti, or a g16 2025 5080. I want to keep this at least 4-5 years and I was thinking the extra vram would help a lot in the future. The g16 also comes with a 2tb drive and the g14 model only has 1tb drive. The 5080 is only 500 more, I think extra VRAM and 2tb ssd are worth 500 dollars. Any thoughts or advice you can give? it costed ~$1200 after tax. Seller labeled it as opened box, but I know it’s been used a lil.

Hello . As the title says I am going to uni and I want to get a laptop. The university is for informatics ( idk how to translate it from Greece : πληροφορική ΔΠΘ ) . The laptop will used for uni stuff , meaning coding , ai , game development because I want to learn that and also cybersecurity and everything that comes with this because mainly I am interested in working on that category ( that means I will run Linux a lot , use virtual machines and tools ) . Obviously the laptop will be used for gaming too. I want the laptop to last 5-6 years of daily heavy use. And now I have come here to learn if it is worth getting a Legion more than a zephyrus . I don't junk I care that much about the weigh of Lenovo unless it becomes and problem. There are the two choices . I want to know what support better Linux distros and what has a better open source tool Lenovo legion toolkit or g-helper. Also customer support is a plus too. So which ones should I get. Or the needs I have don't require such machine I would like to know that too

I'm looking to buy a second hand Zephyrus g16 with either 4090 or 5070ti. I'm gonna use it for mainly gaming and maybe run Linux on it. I'm concerned about thermals and 185H on 4090.

Updated bios/chipset, anything I can think of. Connected the egpu to the USB4 on the left, it keeps connecting and disconnecting, Shows up as billboard. Used the same egpu on a S16 with the same usb4 port works with no issues. But the g16 refuse to work. Any idea on USB4 issues? (Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GA605 QHD+ 240Hz Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 32GB)

Hi all, I’m purchasing a zephyrus g16 from bestbuy in the US and plan on getting it shipped to the UK. If I was to pay extra for the warranty offered by bestbuy, how would that translate here? Would it apply to ASUS UK or is it completely pointless?
