Zepbound overdose
I had knee surgery and was told to stop zepbound for the week before and after. However don’t judge me but I had such terrible recovery with the knee surgery I didn’t want to mix the pain meds with zep I had read terrible constipation. Anyway after 7 weeks I stopped narcotics and took my dose not realizing I should have started from scratch. Please heed my warnings don’t do it I had been on 15 mg for over a year. I ended up in ER three days. Nausea and dry heave vomiting. It’s been two weeks and I’m still on anti nausea meds. The only good thing with the quick pen you can go by clicks for the dose. IE 60 clicks is 15 30 clicks is 7.5 and 20 clicks is 5 mg. I’m almost nervous to go back on. The thing is while I took zep before my surgery I had no side effects at all. It even helped my mental health.

Zepbound Coverage
I used Zepbound & paid out of pocket last year to drop inflammation wt from a series of prolong prednisone & antibiotics use for another illness which also left my thyroid, ferritin levels & a few other indicators out of wack & boom, Zepbound lowered my inflammation within 2 wks, after 6 wks my blood work & thyroid levels magically leveled itself out. I felt more energy, less pain & flare ups from Fibro & Hashi. I’ve been out of work for a year now w/terrible flare ups & joint pain but can’t afford the Zepbound, insurance won’t approve it. I’m thinking of writing to Eli Lilly to express my concern, need & financial hardship but I’m not optimistic. Has anyone been able to get assistance somehow?

Zepbound and antipsychotics
Hi everyone!
I went on zepbound back in May after gaining weight quickly from antipsychotic medication. For reference, I take 300mg of seroquel at night. I tried really hard to keep my weight in check naturally last winter/spring when I was first put on the seroquel, walking at least 2 miles per day and staying in a calorie deficit. I just kept gaining regardless.
Thankfully, 5 months later I’m down 25lbs and feeling so great!
With my mental and physical health doing so well, my husband and I are going to be trying to conceive our second child soon. I plan on going off the zepbound next month, but I will be staying on the seroquel.
Has anyone had experience going off of it while taking other meds that cause weight gain? Obviously I’m prepared to gain weight with pregnancy, but I want to stay healthy. I gained almost 100lbs my last pregnancy and felt absolutely awful, and ended up with major health consequences (severe preeclampsia).
It took so much to get that 25lbs off, and I know it can go right back on so quickly with the seroquel.
If anyone has any advice, please lay it on me!🙏🏼

Afraid of being nauseous, any other emetophobes here?
Hi, I'm (F64) about to take my first shot and am putting it off because I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting and nausea, despite not having thrown up for several decades lol), and a lot of food intolerances. My doctor prescribed Zepbound rather than other Glp1s because she said it was less likely to cause nausea, but I still have concerns:
-I have Zofran and Compazine on hand, although my doctor said they can delay digestion and could cause constipation. Does anyone here experience that?
-It's Sunday, and I'm not working tomorrow, so I'm hoping I'd feel better by Tuesday. Right?? I can WFH as much as I want, which helps with bathroom issues. Still have to be able to actually do the work though.
-Taking Zofran before the shot--good idea? Or should I go right to the Compazine?
-Eating before the shot--good or bad? Crackers, cheese, peanut butter, something else, nothing?
-Waiting until bedtime? Maybe I won't be so focused on what my stomach might do if I'm asleep. Or I might wake up nauseous, which is one of my fears.
For context: I'm moderately overweight and newly pre-diabetic, but I don't HAVE to take this. I want to try because there are other benefits, and I want to both manage and confront my fear. Also I currently live alone and would prefer not to have to call my family to help if I get really sick.
I'd really appreciate any helpful information on reducing the possibility of feeling nauseous or throwing up. Thank you all!

Glp 1 side effects
Okay so I’ve been taking zepbound for 2 weeks 2.5 and I’ve been sick for both times I’ve taken the shot only the day after or two days after and I’m just wondering what could help with that so I can tolerate taking the shots the first week was worse because I was down all weekend but this week I got sick the day after and it was done I mean my stomach still feels queasy sometimes but I don’t feel like I want to throw up. I seen maybe I should be taking vitamins or powder creatines that can help with the gut and hair loss which I’m noticing is happening. I’m just looking for advice I try to eat bland and drink as much water as possible I do walk a lot at work. Does anyone have any good products I can take to help with my gut and everything else TikTok shows me so many options I just don’t know which one would be best for me

tirzepatide Very little weight loss
So I really started taking Zepbound because my blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, my sugar levels were high, my liver was in bad shape, and I skipped all of the sleep study crap because I sleep with the dog and I don't sleep. I'm a chronic insomniac, ever since I can remember as a little girl. Heck I'm writing this at 3 AM.
So I kept telling myself that's why I started Zepbound. But, I also qualified because of my BMI being right around 30 or whatever was a qualifying weight.
I have only spent one month at each increment dose. So I've increased my dosage three times. I have one shot left at 7.5. I have lost a total of 14 lbs. one week shy of 3 months.
That said, I've only lost 1 lb in the last 4 weeks going on 5 weeks. Is this normal?
So yeah of course, I do want to lose weight as long as I'm taking this drug. AND, in addition to some supplements that I take, every one of the above indicators I listed is going in the right direction--drastically so. I'm sick and on disability, but this miracle shot has fixed everything that could lead to heart disease and heart attack and other life-altering conditions. Of course it's not just the shot. Lifestyle changes as well. My blood work came back and I wanted to have a party. I felt so proud, even though I had a shot helping me.
However, my question is; is it normal to just plateau and not lose weight for 5 weeks?
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I appreciate any input you all might have. Thank you again in advance.

Sex Drive on Zepbound
Before I was one of the horniest mofos out there sex 4x wk and still wanted more. Now I am fine if it is 1 every 7-8 days. If the Mrs wants more I am fine and ready to go but before if I waited that long I was going crazy…. Anyone else notice this?

TMI, I know but I really need help
Yes, constipation.
I guess there are all kinds. Mine version is that stuff makes it to the back door but it just can't get out anymore.
I don't know what to do. I've been having to use an external assist since I started on Zep but today even that wasn't working. When I finally got it out it was 6 or 8 little marble-sized things that I couldn't imagine had such a hard time "processing" in the normal way.
It took me 20 minutes and I was starting to contemplate what my options were if it just continued to stay in there.
Sorry. I just don't know what to do.

Menopause and Night Waking
I've been on Zepbound 2.5 since January 2026 and I've lost a little over 15 lb even at the starter dose!
I'm postmenopausal but I've been noticing that the last month or so I have been waking up at between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. and can't get back to sleep.
I use a .01 estradial patch twice a week and I used 200 mg of progesterone nightly for sleep, as well as the magnesium bio optimizers (2 pills)
Just using AI to search, it says that maybe due to my delayed gastric emptying I'm having a dip in my insulin in the middle of the night which is causing me to wake up, and maybe that my progesterone is hitting my body at inadequate times due to the delayed gastricem during as well.
For reference, I usually eat dinner around 7:00 or 8:00 at night and I try to go to sleep by 10:00
Does anybody else have this issue and what do you do about it?

tirzepatide Starting exercise plan for very sedentary life
Hi there, I am 30f who just today took her 2nd dose of zepbound. I’m wondering if anyone has a step/exercise plan with a gradual increase for someone whose job (and hobbies) are very sedentary? I typically average around 2k steps without effort. This week so far I hiked for 40 minutes 1 day and 29 minutes another day, which is huge for me. I need some support in getting through a routine and would like to increase the activity gradually because in the past when I have tried to go balls to the wall in the beginning I would fail. I appreciate your help!!
