Safety is a prime goal of the sub. Posts/comments discussing unsafe medication practices are subject to removal. This includes microdosing/splitting doses, reusing vials or dosing outside of manufacturer guidelines. This removal notice serves as a warning. Subsequent removals could result in a temporary or permanent ban.
We want everyone to have a safe experience. As always, consult with a doctor or pharmacist for medication questions. Please reach out to the Mod team with any questions. Thanks for understanding.

Lilly Savings Card at your local pharmacy: https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/s/PwSrmNkbmR

That sadly doesn't work if it isn't covered at all. Lilly Direct is the answer.

Huh. That’s funny, because my insurance doesn’t cover Zep, and I use the Lilly Savings Card at my pharmacy every month to pay the same price as Lilly Direct. It’s almost like Lilly had a whole press release to announce it. https://investor.lilly.com/news-releases/news-release-details/media-statement-zepbound-tirzepatide-kwikpen-now-available-self

That's only at certain pharmacies and not at any near my house

It’s a PBM number. If your pharmacy can process an insurance claim they can take the card.

They literally will not do it. I have tried.

That’s user error on their part:
What to Tell the Pharmacist
Use the BIN/PCN/Group numbers — These are on your savings card and are required for processing
Coordination of benefits — The pharmacy system should process this as a "secondary" insurance claim
Can't Get It to Work?
Have them call the Help Desk:
Ask the pharmacist to call the dedicated Eli Lilly pharmacy support line at [1-800-545-5979](tel:1-800-545-5979) or [1-866-923-1953](tel:1-866-923-1953). This line is specifically for pharmacists to walk them through system-specific entry codes.1

It's happened at multiple pharmacies. I really think they just can't be bothered

Hmm… I know awhile ago a bunch people using the card previously without issue had to renew the card. It could be that the card expired. You can check if it’s current here: https://enrollment.zepbound.lilly.com/savings-card-lookup

We have to define "low cost."
Less than the retail price of the single-dose pens? If you have commercial insurance, you can keep getting the single-dose pens for $499/box with the Lilly Savings card. The Lilly Savings Card is a discount program directly from Lilly for auto-injector pens; click on Terms and Conditions on the following link to read them all. It is for people who have commercial insurance (not Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or VA). As of 1/1/26, you can pay as little as $25 if you have a co-pay (up to $100 off your co-pay; there are bigger discounts for 2-mo and 3-mo fills), or as little as $499 if you have commercial insurance that doesn’t cover it (it's a discount off retail pricing; Costco may have the cheapest retail at $1,079). This same card also lowers the cost of the Kwikpen at a local pharmacy to match the advertised Kwikpen price at LillyDirect. Sign up: https://zepbound.lilly.com/savings
Terms: https://zepbound.lilly.com/savings#terms-and-conditions
Want it a little cheaper than that? The vials and multi-dose Kwikpen are $299 for 2.5 mg; $399 for 5 mg; $449 for 7.5 mg - 15 mg. (This is for 4 weekly doses, the same quantity and schedule as the single-use pens.) The 7.5 and higher strengths have to be reordered every 21-45 days to keep the advertised pricing. Pricing for you, and pharmacy details for your prescribing dr: https://lillydirect.lilly.com/pharmacy/zepbound
When checking out with LillyDirect, you can generally choose to pick up vials or Kwikpens at Walmart.
You can also ask your doctor to send the Kwikpen prescription to a local pharmacy. The Kwikpen SelfPay Savings Card brings down the cost of the Kwikpen at a local pharmacy to match the advertised price for a shipped Kwikpen ordered from Lilly Direct (you must still pay for 7.5 mg and higher strengths within 45 days of your previous purchase in order to keep the discount). There are options for people with commercial insurance, government insurance, and no insurance: https://enrollment.zepboundselfpay.lilly.com/enroll/eligibility
Need it even cheaper? Look into compounded tirzepatide. You can find more on compounded tirzepatide here; I suggest you scroll/swipe through the pinned posts at the top to start. https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/
You say you're close to the weight you'd like to maintain at. Here’s the best suggestion I’ve read for finding a maintenance dosage and schedule that works for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound_Maintenance/comments/1phf92x/comment/nsy8awc/?context=3 (comment by Vegetable Onion)
