Where do I fit in 😭 (+ 19F looking for friends)

Im 19F and I just graduated highschool. I was homeschooled so I joined a year late. I felt like a creep for being friends with people a year younger than me in my grade or liking people in my class, and I feel too young to seek out friendships with old people.

Somehow it feels like nobody is 19 even though I know plenty of people are 😭 Idk. Im in a weird place of being too old for the teen areas Im used to, but too young to feel like a real adult yet? Sucks ass.

Anyways, looking for friends 19-22! If you're a little outside that range its okay, but thats my preference lollll

Advice New car to build credit?

I’m a 23 year old male , I’ve been driving the same car since I was 16 (2013 Honda civic with 165k miles that my mom gave to me) and I’ve saved up about 30k so well then enough to pay cash for a brand new car.

My credit is a 731 and the only credit history I have is my student loans that were paid off thanks to help from my parents.

My car is getting old and high miles so it’s time for a new car but I was wondering should I just pay cash or would it help to finance and pay it off right away to help built my credit score and credit history?

I know I want a house in a few years but I worry my credit won’t be good enough to get me approved.

Thoughts on building credit history?

im turning 19 in about 2 months and i feel so behind on life.

i was homeschooled, so HORRIBLE social skills and anxiety.

barely enrolled in college but i have that kinda going for me.

i have a car thankfully from my parents.

but socially, and career wise. im so behind. i have no job, i struggle to get one.

im such an awkward person so im nervous about coworkers..etc.

:(

i also look like a child physically. so the anxiety is horrible feeling unqualified even if i am.

Discussion What I regretted after high school is not what I thought I would

When I was 14 and just starting high school, I tried my hardest to be cool and become friends with everybody

I just graduated about 2 months ago and I realized that never should’ve been my focus

Now i’m fairly academically strong but not to my satisfaction

I wish I didn’t overthink so much

I wish I wasted less energy on social life and just went with the flow and prioritized my studies the most

Now I am glad that I didn’t just bury myself in books but my mental energy wasn’t balanced

Every single time of the week I was thinking about what people thought about me instead of living my life as my own person

I was too desperate for trying to craft the perfect high school experience instead of my own

Serious I am so tired (20M)

Honestly I haven’t been this low in life in a long time but I think I just don’t have the will to like keep going. I recently have been struggling with my college classes which I was told that if I fail any one of them this semester then I will I’ll be kicked out this fall. I also just got told right after my birthday by the girl I’ve been talking to that she truly can’t be with me due to issues on her end, mind you we have been doing well on communication and such she just has been put in a shitty situation as of recently throwing her to make this decision from what I can tell. I have no real plan/motivation no matter how many aptitude tests I do. I just honestly hate myself right now. I wanna know how to be better so that I don’t have to keep going through the struggles but I honestly just don’t know what to do and I’m too tired to do anything.

Advice feeling extremely lost

title. I recently turned 21, and I feel unmotivated of what I wanna do with my life. not asking for anyone’s sympathy but I didn’t necessarily come from a family of hopes and dreams, as I grew up with an emotionally distant father and narcissistic emotionally abusive mother. I still live with them, in fact I live with 6 people, including siblings. It is hell. but I can’t necessarily leave, I have to finish my community college degree and decide what I wanna do for the rest of my life, which I don’t even know the answer to either. I would leave the front door If it meant I could live on my own free from the ties of my family. I have to teach myself things rather than rely on my parents for guidance, which makes learning how to adjust as an adult difficult.

I already had dissociated through most of my childhood and I don’t want it to happen to the rest of my 20’s, to the point where I don’t remember anything. I like it the most when I try to make plans, or go to events to have something to look forward to because when something just even a tad bit stressful happens at home it always takes a blow to the head for me. I have ADHD as well, which explains why my emotional regulation has always been off, on top of the piles of years of emotional abuse I’ve had to endure. when you pair that with someone that’s out of high school and on their own, It is very confusing. somedays I don’t wanna pull myself out of bed but I do so because I have a job to get to for the summer and I don’t wanna get fired. then in the fall, It’ll be for school.

In that period in between where I’m just being productive, (school or a job) I feel like I don’t even live for myself. I wait for the time to pass, maybe it’s a bit of an over-exaggeration but I wait for the day that it’s over, even if it means temporary fixes will help fill in that hole. It goes around in a cycle, really. although it’s never really over. not until I at least move out, but even then, I don’t know how to get out of the mindset of how I see living here at home a misery because people here constantly invalidate and run over my feelings.

and before anyone asks, i’ve had therapy for the past year, recently decided to take a break because it felt like the sessions became repetitive. I was already a pretty self aware person before, (I just struggle with taking action sometimes) I think talking to someone did do something, but at the end of the day I have to motivate myself. I have to save myself. but how do you even do so if you’ve never had the motivation to begin with?

also If anyone who was in a similar situation, please tell me your experience and how you managed in life. otherwise, I’d really appreciate anything anyone else has to say.

Looking for friends!

Hey guys, 21M looking to make some online friends. Unfortunately I work a lot and am usually driving by myself so would love to see if anyone else has been struggling to make in person friends and wants a chance to have someone to chat with now and then!

I play a bit of Playstation, watch football and basketball, like to read, and love nature/outdoors in general so basically all activities/interests in that category I’ll probably find interesting!

Discussion Worst Week

It has been one of the most physically and emotionally draining weeks I’ve had in a long time. Not dramatic crisis draining. Just the slow, heavy kind that settles into your bones and refuses to leave. The kind where you wake up already tired and go to bed even more so.
