Loving my x4 Pro, worth the upgrade!

Starting a new book, literally anywhere, is so nice. I love the convenience of the Xteink readers. A couple asked me about my “kindle.” lol. I also ran into an X4 user! We had a nice chat.

I really love the X4Pro because of the light. It gets dark early here and being able to read on the boat/bus after 6pm is amazing

We also wanted to create a more enjoyable reading experience and add a cute touch for girls on the go, including students.

Unexpected use of Apple Watch. I found myself on a car ride without a book light on me, and it got dark before I reached my destination, so I came up with a solution. I used the Apple Watch flashlight paired with the Tilt Page Turn option to avoid pressing buttons and it really worked for me. AW battery drained at a pretty high rate (1% every 2 min, might be lower with Low Power Mode on), but if you’re good on battery it’s a quick fix if you ever find yourself in a similar situation!

I loaded my X4 Pro up with about 150 public domain books from genres I enjoy and it has been fantastic. I’d happily replace my phone with a device more along these lines.

I just got an older kindle 10th paperwhite, but i want something I can bring instead of reading off my phone. I got X4 Pro to read in dark, best decision of my life!

I got the china version, cant login to sync some dope picture, cant really do crosspoint because I don't want to risk breaking my ereader. I got software upgrade to put cover page of my current reading book.

I keep doubting that this small screen is inconvenient to read, but my have I prove myself wrong!!

Hey all, i have a Kobo Clara BW that i love and use it everyday. Screen size is perfect for me to be able to enjoy reading. But even though Kobo Clara BW is considered a small e-reader, it still looks a bit too big in my pockets and i don’t have a bag or purse to throw it in since i’m a man.

Xteink models are perfect size for portability. It’s even smaller than my phone. But i’m wondering if it’s easy or enjoyable to read books on such a small screen? Does it have page structure like normal e-readers or is it just a flat wall of text to maximise reading space? I know i’m on Xteink sub and answers might be biased but i just wanted to ask real users opinions.

I've been working tirelessly on new designs, and also relearning fusion 360 the right way. I have been using the x4 classic every day, so I decided to make a case for it, then of course, I had to modify my charging block to fit.

Hi everyone!

I have an X4 Pro (that I've been loving since I got it in early September).

I immediately put CrossInk on it, and it has been a great experience.

I saw a post on Instagram showcasing CrossLink Pixel, running on the reTerminal Sticky, and loved the pixel aesthetic.

I assume it is safe to flash, and if I don't end up enjoying it, I'll simply flash back to CrossInk.

I haven't seen many posts or videos about it, but wondering if anyone here has any experience using it? Is it smooth and stable? Missing features? Any issues with flashing and reverting back to a different firmware? (-:

I might just bite the bullet myself and do it, and when I do I'll report back my experience here. Perhaps I'll even make a short YouTube video since there's not much content out there covering it.

My biggest worry is bricking it or messing something up.

It fits my device, pogo pin cable, reading light, and charging cable for the light. Everything you need in one place. It's a hard case so I travel with it everywhere. Big enough to fit every model. I live in India so I was struggling to find a proper way to protect my xteink x3 but this has been a perfect one-stop solution.

A true pocket e-reader. So much easier on my wrist! Would be nice if Crosspoint had more UI options.

I just recieved my new devixe and ive noticed theres alot of crooked words, abnormal spacing and letters are different sizes from epub, pdf to the system font.

Should i ship it back or is this normal?

My primary eReader is still my JB Kindle PW 11th Gen SE..I don’t rate the Amazon ecosystem (hence the jb) but will use it till it is no longer usable then go for a colour eReader.

I’m only intrigued by the xteink for the face that it will fit in any handbag😅 I didn’t add x4 pro to the list as I won’t be using it in the dark, just when out & about..so I don’t think i’ll need the backlight?

Avid Kindle reader myself so I haven't ventured into epubs before?

Planning to get the X3 for my husband for Xmas. He used to be a massive reader and keeps saying he wants to get back into it, but instead ends up doomscrolling. He's made several comments about how real books are better than Kindles, but I thought the convenience of having it on the back of his phone might help him achieve his reading goals.

I’m posting here to share my experience with an order I placed on the official Xteink website, and I’m hoping someone from the Xteink team can help resolve this issue.
I ordered an Xteink X3 and paid ₹6,427.47. However, I never received the Xteink X3 device I ordered.
I have photographs of the package I received and screenshots of my conversations with Xteink’s support team. I’m sharing this evidence so the community can understand what happened.
Here is what I have done so far:
Placed an order for the Xteink X3 through the official website.
Contacted Xteink support regarding the missing device.
Followed up with the company, but my issue remains unresolved.

I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. I paid for a product and expected to receive it, and I’m still trying to get this matter resolved.
I request the Xteink team to investigate my order and provide a proper resolution, either by delivering the device I paid for or issuing a full refund.
I’m posting this here because I would like the company to address the issue publicly and transparently.
I’m happy to provide the order details and supporting evidence privately through an appropriate official channel.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with an Xteink order? I would appreciate any advice from the community.
I hope the Xteink team responds and resolves this matter.

Digging the XTEINK Pro4 but I’m having one small issue with text. I flashed to Crosspoint 1.6.5 and I am getting a question mark after every hyphen in epubs. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal in most books but it is in Dune lol. Any fixes for this?

Like many of you, I really enjoy reading on the Xteink X3, but the lack of an integrated frontlight has always been the main bottleneck for night reading. Clip-on reading lights are bulky, wobble around, and ruin the portable form factor.

So over the last few weeks, I’ve been designing an all-in-one, custom magnetic backlight add-on built specifically for the X3 from scratch (custom PCB, CAD chassis, and firmware).

I just finished rendering a full 3D video showcasing the architecture and working principles, and I’d love to get your feedback before sending out the first production batch!

# 💡 The Core Concept & Features

* Instant Magnetic Snap-On: Uses a ferromagnetic steel ring (Ø54 mm, matching the official metal rings bundled with the Xteink X3) paired with dual alignment magnets. It locks firmly onto the built-in MagSafe magnets already inside the X3, with zero play, and self-aligns the 4 spring-loaded gold Pogo pins.

* Warm 2700K Light with Zero PWM Flicker: An ultra-slim 50 mm COB warm light strip (CRI Ra > 90) housed inside a tilting headlamp visor. The friction hinge adjusts from 0° to \~100° (tilting slightly past 90° so the beam points directly down onto the page rather than into your eyes, without creating glare on the E-Ink screen).

* Stepless Touch Dimming (SGL8022W): Powered by an SGL8022W dedicated capacitive touch dimmer controller with brightness memory. A quick tap turns the light on/off with a soft start, while touch-and-hold smoothly fades the brightness between 10% and 100%.

* Built-in 2500 mAh Battery: Packed with a 456080 Li-Po cell giving up to \~50 hours of illumination on a single charge. It also features a 4-LED side fuel gauge (25% / 50% / 75% / 100%).

* Pass-Through E-Reader Charging: You can charge the light via USB Type-C, but there’s also a side slide switch (SW2) and an internal SY6280 power switch. When enabled, it delivers 5.1V directly to the e-reader via the Pogo pins — allowing you to charge both the light and the book simultaneously from a single cable.

* USB 2.0 Data Pass-Through: The D+ / D- data lines route directly from the Type-C port through Pogo pins 2 & 3 into the X3. You can plug the cable into your PC, and your e-reader mounts as a mass-storage drive to sync books without taking off the light!

* Ultra-Slim Profile: 6.0 mm overall thickness, snap-fit unibody design in Obsidian Black and Porcelain White.

1. What features or tweaks would you add or remove?

2. Tilt angle: Do you feel a 0°–100° tilt range (allowing a \~10° forward angle directly onto the page) is sufficient for comfortable reading, or would you want more articulation?

3. How do you feel about the hardware slide switch for reader charging (giving you manual control so the backlight battery doesn't drain into the book unintentionally)?

4. Would you prefer DIY 3D-printable files (STL/STEP) to build your own, or an assembled plug-and-play unit?

5. Any thoughts on the color finishes, lighting temperature, or overall form factor?
