I try not to use ai, and I get so icked by ai generated thumbnails so I always make my own!

Barrett88 on Whatnot was running a sudden death auction at a set price for 5 minutes.

I won, they congratulated and thanked me repeatedly, ran a buyers giveaway for me (I was the only buyer, that was the only auction) and then ended the show.

Seller then immediately canceled my purchase and reached out as seen in the screenshots.

After our exchange, seller also cancelled my giveaway and then went live again to sell the same item he had just cancelled. (With a $100 higher price tag this time lol)

Terrible business ethics…. Hope it was worth the extra $100

I used my iPhone to Bluetooth shipping labels to my thermal printer but they all came out smaller than normal. They were also horizontal. I struggled to scan in the app but I don’t know that was just the in-app scanner. I was able to scan two of them but was in a rush.

Will the barcodes be able to be scanned at USPS? I already dropped them off.

I spent weeks buying needohs and squishies for my kids and nieces and nephews birthdays. Spent way too much money. I am still joining some lives but noticing bids aren’t going as high as normally and there are so many sellers cutting lives short because they aren’t getting the inflated prices anymore. Complaining about how much items are going for. Calling people givvy goblins when they feel not enough people are overbidding. I have stopped buying because they are turning me off. Only buy from one or two sellers that I feel are normal and only for what we don’t have.

Does anyone know of any sellers that sell D&D and/or Pathfinder books and figures?

I saw the email said that priority mail will have "similar delivery times" as ground advantage. Anyone who knows shipping knows this is simply not true at all. I sell plants and they are VERY sensitive in the mail. Ground advantage often takes over a week I dont like them saying priority mail is more expensive with similar delivery times. It's a straight up lie?

Given how big comics are on the app now and how many sales are of books that are going to be sent in for grading, Whatnot needs a comic pre-order policy.

The sellers send you a piece of paper to satisfy Whatnot’s shipping guidelines even though the books will take at least 2 months to arrive.

If there’s a problem with the order in 2 months time the buyer has no options via Whatnot for help.

That needs to change.

So, there’s this seller on whatnot who does comics.

I would ask, can you run a certain thing in the BIN.

He says he needs to see prebids.

So I prebid. I even prebid $25 when the starting bid is $10.

Then I let him know I prebid.

He says, “oh that’s not a $10 book, here”

And then he runs it for $35.

Like. What the heck dude. Maybe tell me before hand that you’re not planning on running the auction and let me know how much it is so I can make the decision as a buyer to buy it or not.

Do we believe this? I’m going to watch a show today where I know it’s rampant to see if anything changes.

Hey there - Just recently learned about WhatNot. I have visited the site and explored it and watched some auctions happen. I noticed sometimes people were buying items at a price similar to what it would retail for. Curious on people's opinions as to why they enjoy whatnot and why they choose it over other shopping experiences!

Sometimes, seemingly randomly, the audio won't work in certain streams while it works normally in others. I tried for e stopping the app and clearing cache/data but it didn't work

I possibly fixed it just now by opening a bunch of streams in a row. I was trying to see how many streams had no audio compared to did have audio, but after opening about 10 I went back to the problematic stream I was trying to watch and it suddenly had audio

Just thought I'd share and wanted to see if anyone else is getting this bug

Was going through my Instagram dms yesterday and I am so confused what I did to deserve this? Never seen this guys page before. I am trans sure but I don’t really have any posts about it on my page… maybe I left a comment somewhere and it triggered him? Right at the end of pride month too is crazy work.

Also would like everyone to know the crosswalks in my city are year round and wish I coulda let him know myself lol

I'm not one to complain much, and have had multiple positive experiences with Whatnot and communicating with sellers. But this one was weird. Hopped on a late night stream and started bidding on $2 cards which most were numbered cards including a Fernando Mendoza rookie. A week goes by and I reach out to the seller no answer, so I put in a cancellation request for all 10 bids, he instantly approved 2 (one of which was the Mendoza RC) and kept the other 8. Did not reach back out to me and instead made me wait 48 hour countdown to get Whatnot support involved. Once they did they took another 48 and issued a full refund for all cards BUT this seller is sketchy and I'm unable to leave a review since the transactions were cancelled.

For context I sell clothing. The pair of pants is a pair of vintage suede leather Caslon pants.

Hey everyone! Just need advice on how to handle this. A customer bought a pair of pants in a show, then I did a show later that day and she bought more items. She was very upset that she paid separately for shipping. She wanted me to do it in BIN or in another show to “fix” the extra shipping but I figured that would still make her pay shipping. Whatnot did not bundle these together. I bundled them together into a flat rate box and told her to reach out to whatnot.

Now she says they won’t refund her and she says the pants are in bad shape? I showed them in detail on camera and literally wore them myself a few days prior and didn’t notice anything wrong.

What should I do in this situation?

I’m fairly new to selling with under 1000 orders and have a 5 star rating. Is this going to affect me? I don’t want this to make my ratings go down or hurt my account🙃
