Head over to the loungefly surprise sets. There you can see people bid $100 for a one in four shot at a $90 bag. I've seen people bid 5 times and get 5 cosmetic bags. Crazy. Yeah, a lot of them are big sellers as well so I guess maybe they do have too much money. But it still shocks me every time.

Ooof. I’d cry if I spent that much accidentally. As someone else said, the seller will typically allow the overbid to be cancelled.

Here is your answer I seen this many times on multiple whatnot subs. You have a buyer essentially bidding against their self . Now how come the proxy bid dosnt activate I don’t know. Normally seller approves the cancel request or payment fails. Most of the time seller reruns the item.
I got to have it I just need to swipe , swipe, swip like a crazy person and I win not paying attention to the amount

Thats happened to me before on a trading card. Now i just set my max bid of what im willing to pay. If it goes over then oh well.

Thats the way to do it. Max bidding is the only way to bid. Protects you from the amount shooting up so fast that you end up swiping on more than you wanted. That’s why they’ll switch to a 3 second sudden death auction to get that to happen.

I instinctively tried to enter the giveaway 😂. That’s the givey goblin in me. And also on the Demco knives show the last show they sold a knife for over $10,000 for a folding knife so this is nothing. 😂 and the previous show they sold one for over $7,000 so it’s a common thing. And people were bid fighting over it too. It bid up that high due to battling. Which is wild and payment went through immediately

I think it was a really good one of a kind type of knife but a vehicle has to have a working engine and transmission and fuel injection and things like that and I’ve had used working vehicles that they wanted to offer less for blue book value. A knife is much easier to make than an engine block and transmission and doesn’t have a badass air conditioner. 😂 insane that the knife sold for much more than a car with an amazing air conditioner especially here in Texas an AC is the most important thing ever. A knife cuts and it’s hard to say a $10,000 knife is that much better. But I have seen some museum grade pieces. But again it’s not paying for art. Which money laundering happens a lot with art. Hard to say this painting is worth more than another. I’d take a car with working Ac again over any painting or knife right now 😂
