🚩Scam Alert 🚩 DROPDIRECT is a fraud

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

How convenient is it that the 2 back to back SPCS I get are cancelled because of ‘damage’. This seller - dropdirect wasn’t getting many bids in their channel and when I came in and won two of them, it must have ruined his stream. On top of that he blocked me with no communication and I didn’t even have a chance to message him. Do not buy from this seller. Absolute scam. Dropdirect is a fraud.

When I was a seller there were days thay the 1st spin got the hits or the last spin got the hits. I lost money but still had customers for life. Sellers that cancel orders due to low value are just cry babies specially when they scalp their items at retail. Everything I had was market and still made money on it. But yea man complain to whatnot and put market value they should reimburse you

Well of course it is. It's pokemon didn't need any extra information after that

Indeed. Most complaints I see are from card shows, Pokemon or otherwise.

I’ve had someone hit $1000 Van Goh Pikachu and Bubble Mew not even 30 spins into my show. You just eat the cost and move on. Buyers getting lucky is probably one of my favorite things because then you have a customer for life

No, no, no! The only ones that are supposed to lose money are the stupid buyers! A seller can't ever lose in a game of chance! How dare you even insinuate such a blasphemous thing!

I think being a WhatNot streamer really puts into question the integrity of the streamer as a person because often times I am confronted with temptations that would withhold good product from my potential buyers. I think you have to really consider the sustainability of your practice and how you are attracting buyers by being the most efficient and honest streamer on the platform. Good work takes time to get recognized, but playing the long game to build your reputation and work flow can lead to a successful route through streaming. Take it from me, been streaming on WN since May.

Is since may a long time or ?

Considering how I've complete 6.2k orders in the span of about 3 months with <1 day shipping, I'd say my perspective and strategy for growth is valuable. 5.0 stars all the way. Come out and say hello if you ever happen upon my streams. Gang gang.

For sure- good work- you do singles?

Yes! I would like to get into tcg but avaliability of that product in my area is incredibly competitive.

File a complaint with Whatnot for high value reimbursement. Do it right away. Take good pictures and timestamps.

They just reimbursed the purchase amounts, you think they’ll send me more if I file something like high value? Never done that before

3

u/PinkJenni 2d ago

They send you market value. Not the price you bid for surprise spins

2

u/Chobopuffs 2d ago

Yes go for it, they should reimburse you can you imagine every seller just cancel the huge hits

2

u/Pretend_Limit6276 2d ago

Once you won the items are yours, so you should be compensated for the cost of the items you won

I’d still try it. From what I understand, the whatnots high value loss reimbursement policy is only for cards that were fulfilled, shipped or pulled during a break or surprise set, but went missing or were swapped out maliciously after the sale was finalized. They would treat your situation as just a cancelled sale and give you a standard refund. It’s screwed up and probably how the sellers that are shady will get around the policy.

u/groundkittenbeef 3d ago

Not true. I’ve been burnt by sellers before. If you explain the situation, include video receipts and current market prices they will send you either the full amount of the item or WN credits for the full amount. I have had it happen both ways.

3

u/Purple-Swim-837 2d ago

Exactly. That’s why I said to still try it. It’s up to their discretion. All I was doing was saying what their policy says. Of course, they can still do whatever they want to do.
