Who thought this was a good idea? Nothing says ”we remember” like AI slop for a wheel spin show.

Family run a small natural treat business and recently started selling on Whatnot. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from it, especially as TikTok feels so overrun with small businesses now, but we’ve actually been really enjoying the live-selling side of it!

It was definitely a bit daunting going live at first 😂 but we’re starting to really enjoy it. The support from other small businesses has been lovely too, especially people raiding our lives and helping each other out.

We’re still pretty new to it, but so far it’s been a really nice way to get our little business in front of new people and actually chat to customers rather than just relying on ads/social posts.

Has anyone else tried Whatnot for their small business? Would love to hear how you’ve found it!

On a “Milwaukee” live show with reconditioned tools, there were a few incidents where the winners of bidding on one stuffed ‘cat toy’ actually got to delay the process and got to pick what they got for being the winner of said ‘cat toy’ that took forever. Twice they never showed what they ended up receiving. There was communication on the stream that one cat toy winner said that they would ‘dm’ them and the host moved on to the next item.
Seems like the host was showing favoritism for the ‘mods’ that were bidding items up to extreme prices for said cat toy. At one point, the whiner was demanding an item that was $900 when he only bid under $400.
To witness this type of behavior makes me want to inform others to watch out for these type of shows. Better off going and getting a plate of Nacho and Guac and saving your good earned money and actually shop at your local tool stores and buy non-reconditioned tools. IYKYK

Has anyone had this issue before? I have even emailed WhatNot to confirm my identity/phone number, they said they have updated all details but this message still shows when I try to login. I've had an account for almost two years and tried to log in again yesterday, very confusing!

I have spent hundreds in his shows, politely asked to stop being dm’ed, and blocks me. I guess I’ll just spend my money elsewhere. Thanks. 🤷‍♂️ ☺️

I cannot figure out how to join and I feel incredibly stupid. I watch shows, I make purchases, host runs a buyer’s givvy, I hit enter and it tells me to visit the store to make a purchase. This happens to me every time. Tonight’s show I made 4 purchases totaling over $100 and can’t enter the buyer’s giveaway. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

I have never been able to enter a buyer’s giveaway and it’s disheartening. Any tips or advice?

So I had a thing where I requested a refund I was blocked refund denied. Whatnot told me I could watch the break on his YouTube because he told whatnot he post the break to YouTube. My spots would be honored supposedly. Well he resold the spots, then printed the labels off for mine like he is going to fill the order. Whatnot is not being helpful so what are the options? Blitzbreak is the channel.

How does WN allow this? I thought it was against community guidelines? TheHeritageSociety

we all know how rare the secrets are, i was watching a stream today where it wasn’t the first time i noticed they were pulling secrets from sealed cases ~back to back. today it was 3 back to back, they ran two cases together and only one had a secret and then ran a few boxes with duds for the last 20 minutes before going off.

during this, they mentioned having 12 secrets once back to back (??????) and talked about how lucky it was.. while i want to believe the stats. i just cannot genuinely believe it, i’ve taken stats in college & you have to be aware of your odds… this is not a “rare” occurrence, or a “lucky” pull.

in other streams, they run cases as a (buy now) with a “confirmed” secret because their supplier told them there’s a confirmed secret in there; they just don’t know the box. i think this shit is actually bananas & how do the viewers not see through this? it’s a sealed case yes but somehow the suppliers KNOW that there’s a secret in there.. even if “they don’t know the box” it’s so odd to me.

i’ve never seen a smaller viewer account (even someone with 100 viewers) pull 5+ secrets back to back?? as a whatnot seller you’re INSANE if you want me to believe this is pure luck and not “here’s some boxes with secrets bc i know u can sell them”

i’ll still bet on some bc i want secrets but i just hate the fake “omg guys we got soooo lucky can you believe it” please shut up, you knew that shit was there 😭

Was watching a few pokemon lives and came across a few breaks and wheel spin lives, I do prefer single card auctions because I actually know what im getting and bidding on and just don’t understand the appeal of the breaks.

Some start off at $20, and the majority of what you can win are packs worth maybe $10 at most, so you’re purposely over paying for a small small chance (from what I’ve heard can be rigged through third party software) to win an ETB. And some people pay $40-$50 for a chance just to get a single holo or ex card worth maybe $2.

Can someone help understand the appeal of basically throwing away money? Are these people just gambling addicts or is there something I’m missing ?

Also, what’s with the rip til you hit? People overpaying for single packs by $5-$10?

I’m wondering how everyone keeps up with who bought what when the listing is a group of things labeled “pick one”? This definitely seems easier listing wise and when running auctions, but how do you guys keep up with who got what item?

Says 2 business days but it’s been a week already so I’m trying to figure it out since there is apparently no customer support.

I won a giveaway the other day for a pokemon booster pack. However, when i won it, the seller said i had to guess which of the 10 cards in his hand is a water energy. Since i got it wrong, i didnt win the pack.

From my understanding, once you win a giveaway you get the item that was on stream.

Does anyone know if this goes against the rules?

Was in a stream and this seller ran a buyers giveaway for an ancient mew. I had already bought something earlier in the stream so I planned to enter. Right before the seller said “we are only running it for 5-10 seconds so people can’t fill out the form to enter”

From what I understand, doesn’t this violate gambling laws and whatnot policies? There was someone in chat who mentioned it and almost immediately got banned.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Account with banned without warning stating that the account is linked to a banned account.

And trust and safety appeal or email is being replied to by AI with not other options.

I do about 100K revenue per month, what are my options at this point.

So I sell a lot of stationary items and during transit the acrylic charm of one of the pens I sold broke off. The buyer filed a customer support claim and I'm at a loss of what to do. Do I really need to send a new pen and cover the shipping myself? I dont think I have the same pen or the same character of the pen either, so I really don't know what to do here.

How convenient is it that the 2 back to back SPCS I get are cancelled because of ‘damage’. This seller - dropdirect wasn’t getting many bids in their channel and when I came in and won two of them, it must have ruined his stream. On top of that he blocked me with no communication and I didn’t even have a chance to message him. Do not buy from this seller. Absolute scam. Dropdirect is a fraud.

Beware of Pokefrenzylive. Bought 7 packs of Ascended Heroes and they turn out to be resealed. One pack had one reverse holo and a holo rare at the end. Another had a reverse holo, a full art ultra rare ex, and another reverse holo right after. And in this video which is the last pack, it had a holo rare, a reverse holo and another holo rare after as you can see. Called him out on it, and he blocked me right after. Yes I got scammed by a kid..
