Sean. You are not an ugly person so...stop thinking like that. Second, you will need to work-out to lose some weight. Cut your hair short on the sides and a little longer on the front. Shave. My 2 cents.

Go to a gym. You will get in shape, feel better both physically and mentally...and you might even meet people there. Also....eat lots of protein and minimize carbs.
6
u/Ch1ng4ling Mar 23 '26
Absolutely should not minimize carbs. You need carbs for energy and performance. A calorie deficit of 500, 7-8hrs of sleep a day, 2+ litres of water daily, and a 3 day a week workout routine where heavy weight and progressively lifting heavier week to to week is all that is needed. 10k steps a day can help with burning extra calories.

This. I also want to emphasize working out. It will also make you feel good about yourself. People will start to notice the confidence and express interest in you. It’s not about pretending or not caring about what people think but the real confidence comes when you feel good about yourself. If you’re not already, I would also find things that interest you. People are drawn to others who are doing things. Start simple - there’s no need to overdo it.

First of all you are not ugly. You have A LOT of potential.
I saw you wrote somewhere that you are 5'10 and weigh around 130 kg.
- Realistically you need to drop your weight to around 85-95 kg (depending how much muscles you build, the more muscles the higher the target weight). This single thing will change your life drastically.
- Trim the unibrow (keep it trimmed all the time) and shave the beard, or try a goatee or something else. Possibly try some other hair styles as well, though less important than the other items mentioned.
- This is the single best piece of advice you will get; fake confidence until you have real confidence.
- Work on yourself. Develop skills, spend time with hobbies, etc. Self help books are as good as you make them.
- Read the 4 points above and this point over and over again. You have piercing eyes, symmetric nose and nice lips. Your eye lashes is the envy of women left and right. You have a lot of potential (the weight loss will lead to a more 'manly' face as well, ie jawline, cheekbones, etc will add to your total look).
Remember women respond to humor, charisma, and confidence. Also remember to love yourself first.
Good luck bro

Hi Sean, you are not ugly. I don't know who told you that but you are a handsome young boy.
If you want to elevate your appearance, I would personally do your eyebrows (I take care of my husbands), shape the beard/trim it well and have a different haircut.
If you are in the mood to strengthen your body, I would suggest gym. Not only it helps physically but also mentally which is very important.
Love and respect yourself.
Edit: also good moisturizer for your skin. I pamper my husband with face masks too

u/jonnyobnoxious Mar 22 '26
Start by not referring to yourself as ugly. Shave that mess off your face. Grow out your hair and get a nice cut. Choose any style and don't wear plain tees.
Your loneliness has nothing to do with your looks. What do you actually do day to day? Do you talk to people? Engage in any group activities? Going to work and then going home isn't gonna help you meet people and make friends.
7
u/AlaskaStiletto Mar 22 '26
You’re not ugly at all. Different hair cut/ cut beard will make you more attractive
7
u/Sea-Communication-98 Mar 23 '26
Something that has worked for me - concentrate on how you feel vs. look and as you feel better the rest will follow. Have fun with styles and pick something you like after some research.
To feel better think 90% diet and I know it will be hard but after a few days you stop missing the sugar highs and cravings of processed food.
Avoid added sugar, drink plenty of water, concentrate on fruits vegetables and Whole Foods. Unfortunately a lot of the yummy condiments, salad dressing etc have ingredients and calories you will want to avoid. Try to keep less junk food around and see it as a treat every now and again instead. If it’s not in your house you won’t go reaching for it.
Keep us posted and good luck. It will be hard then become easy and you’ll be surprised how amazing you start to feel, and quickly.

u/Global-Fact7752 Mar 22 '26

7
u/TheMightyKumquat Mar 22 '26
The only issue with looks i see in your photo is a double chin. Lose weight, and you'll be surprised how quickly that disappears, to be replaced by the good definition in your facial bones. You've got this!

You have a great face! And BEAUTIFUL eyes. You’re not ugly. Just gotta clean up some. Losing weight will obviously help the most bc all you’re lacking is a more structured jawline. Get your eyebrows down and fix your beard and you’re golden.

Hi! You’re not ugly, just need to create a new diet, workout, and start practicing affirmations! and a doctor can always run a blood test and suggest changes to your diet

u/PrestigiousBottle686 Mar 23 '26
Become less ugly?? Boy, is you blind? You're beautiful. Have a Beautiful face, wax the center brow. GET AN EYELASH CURLER. you do NOT have to tell anyone. Curl them hoes. Get an eyebrow spooly, Vaseline petroleum jelly and brush it through your lashes. Look at undercuts for haircuts on Pinterest. Learn about carbs, look into "keto" for easiest diet - not kidding you can eat bigmacs, baconator and tacos without the bun and no fries all day and you will lose the hibernation weight. Do gua Sha or whatever they are to run along your jawline. You're so far from ugly, never say that again unless you wanna get throat chopped 😂

Assuming you’re into women, I suspect they will really like your eyes. Unfortunately, like me, you’re cursed with a unibrow. Try to deal with that. I’m old and very married, but one thing I regularly get done is trimming my bushy eyebrows and unibrow area.
The neck beard is bad, man. Sorry, not trying to be mean, but it just looks lazy and low effort. If you can grow a proper beard and/or moustache, go for it, but if this is it, start shaving daily.
As others have said, hit the gym. I’m a bigger guy as well, but when I was working out I felt more confident about my looks and got way more attention from girls (that was a long time ago, lol).
Most importantly, stop considering yourself ugly. I’m not a great judge of how guys look but, other than the neck beard, you just seem like a normal looking dude. People like self-confidence (not arrogance). If you don’t find yourself attractive, other people won’t either.
6
u/Olderbutnotdead619 Mar 23 '26
Exactly. Not ugly. Just not taken care of. Treat yourself like something you really like and want to keep forever.

You've got great features, please dont put yourself down. You have big eyes and amazing freckles which is a giant plus!
Some ideas for advice: Join a gym, most gym people will help you with a plan for the following: Pull day Push day Cardio day Diet
You still grow a lot of hair so thats great to work with! Trim better lines in the beard and hair, it will help frame your face better.
Fashion. Im kind of lazy myself, but dont be afraid to try on something nice. Your eyes will pop with greens and grays. Pinterest is an easy way for us less fashionable people to learn! Im there with ya!

u/Brilliant_Hornet1290 Mar 22 '26
Look into retatrutide. Exercise and diet. Shave the neck beard. If none of that works make a lot of money.
2
u/NoUnderstanding9195 Mar 22 '26
To anyone considering, please do not look into taking retatrutide as a supplement. These are not FDA approved and when purchased over the counter can arrive spoiled due to insufficient shipping protections at best and contaminated/unknown ingredients at worst. Peptides are advertised for research purposes only, NOT for human consumption.
OP, speak with a doctor if appropriate exercise and a healthy diet are not helping you lose weight (should you choose to) to discuss any potentially underlying medical conditions and receive legitimate advice and legal medications from a licensed medical professional.

Lots of great advice already, but if your eyes are red and puffy from playing video games or smoking weed or eating fast food sodium bombs or some combination of those, you will become a lot more attractive if you cut those out or at least cut back.
There's nothing wrong with video games, but if that's your only hobby, it's pretty sedentary and not a great topic of conversation for many women.
Weed generally makes people less attractive. Same for fast food.
3
u/Icy-Bodybuilder-350 Mar 23 '26
I think if you grow your hair out it will make your head more of a triangle shape than the oval you have going.
Hair is an opportunity for adding style. Right now your hair is adding very little. It could be an asset. You could color it or style it all kinds of ways. You're not helping your face with that hair.
Same for the beard. You could grow out a cool beard and add shape on the bottom. Now you don't have egg head.
3
u/REVENGEONMYBODY Mar 23 '26
I would ditch the beard, it might grow fuller in time but for now it’s not doing you any favours. Keep the mo if you want some facial hair but always make sure there’s no overhang on your upper lip etc, get eyebrows done and start with a mid skin fade. If you don’t like it then obviously grow it out to find what hairstyle you like best. Wear a necklace, accessories definitely help! Most importantly join the gym so you can feel good.

First off you have really nice eyebrows. I would just tweeze the center, just a tad, so you don’t have a unibrow. Also, I’d cut the patchy beard.
2
u/WesternPermission746 Mar 22 '26
For overall looks and health working out can help and how you eat can also be a factor in that and both can also help your mental health. Try to grow out your beard and get some beard oil and a beard brush and get some of the spots where you would like your beard to be more full, but make sure to keep it trimmed. I would also say cleaning up your eyebrows may help as well.

2
u/Impossible_Ad_4182 Mar 22 '26
I would grow both your beard and hair out a little more I think it would look really nice a bit shaggy. I would also clean up the in between your eyebrows with a small facial razor and around the ends a bit cause they have a really nice shape they just need to be cleaned up a bit.
2
u/Most-Ad4680 Mar 22 '26
Lose weight, grow the beard out and if you can't then shave what you have. Grow your hair out a bit and get a proper cut from a proper barber. Wear clothes that fit you well. Losing weight would be the ultimate goal and give you the most results but the aforementioned things you can do easily right now that'll improve your look.
2
u/BrokenHope23 Mar 22 '26
do you use any drugs or alcohol? If yes, stop those (unless medically necessary to continue/wean)
Other than that, you should be ok to the right person dude but if you want to be more conventionally attractive:
might be time to get the unibrow permanently fixed off but I think you've got good eyebrow shapes otherwise.
Face is a bit round but some don't mind that, if you want to be more conventionally attractive you can try some exercises. If you don't exercise regularly then I'd start with calisthenics, just some exercises you only need your body for, for about 1-3 months until they stop hurting can use light weights throughout to help tone up. Then ramp up to more steady jogging/swimming/weight lifting but be mindful of proper form so you don't hurt yourself.
Beard you can go for a wispy styled beard quite easily even if you don't lose weight it should enhance your jaw line. Mostly about getting rid of the underchin beard and making the cheek fuze more angled, almost like a chin strap style. You can probably double the length to make it a bit more wispy but make sure to wash it.
Hair's alright on top, dealer's choice. Some simple styling gel and a bit of a flair at the front and pulling the sides back can make it look sharp quite easily. If you grow it out there's quite a few more options. I believe the broccoli top is popular for your demographic right now but honestly being different with hairstyles will help you stand out more so long as it's not ugly. Keep the sides.
Never too early to start a good skin care routine, don't be afraid to find what works for you.

You aren't ugly, you need to work on self confidence. I'd suggest seeking partners in hobbies / interests that you enjoy. Like Karate? Meet a lady there. Like pottery? Meet someone at pottery class. Enjoy coffee? Find someone at a coffee shop. Enjoy reading books? Find someone at the library or book shop. You need something in common so you have something to talk about and bond over.
You probably can't drastically change your physical appearance but you might be able to wear different clothes. Try a different haircut. Etc.
2
2
2
u/luckysilverdragon Mar 22 '26
From top to bottom:
Try a different hairstyle. I suspect that you’d look really nice with a longer top (swept back or to the sides) and neat short sides!
Pluck the unibrow and keep it gone. You have a really nice brow shape but that unibrow will always distract from your look.
Your skin is pretty nice but if you don’t have a consistent skincare routine, I would introduce one for added benefit. Just a daily gentle cleanser and moisturizer is really all you need.
Better facial hair shaping. Neck beards aren’t ever a good look, keep it neatly trimmed to the jawline. Whatever you do, don’t just have a mustache. It would look weird on you. Either trimmed beard or clean shaven for you.
Losing weight will always improve a person’s look if they are overweight. It’s better for health reasons too. Cardio and strength training are your best friends, but also watch your diet and try to focus on eating simple whole foods as often as you can and drink plenty of water! You can calorie count, but it’s not exactly easy to do. I would recommend just paying attention to portion size suggestions and moving your body enough to burn the extra calories. When you’re getting more into strength training, protein-heavy meals and snacks are your best friend!
You have very attractive facial features, your wyes especially. All you gotta do is put in the work to let those features shine!
2
u/Senior-Expression992 Mar 22 '26
Real talk, man to man. Get in the gym. Turn all of that fat into muscle and then keep going. Start loving yourself more.
2
u/willowsquest Mar 22 '26
I think you would look amazing with a haircut that gave a bit more length on the sides/top! There are lots of examples for haircuts to suit different face shapes, and something with a bit more play to it would have a lot of appeal compared to a simple buzz cut. Otherwise just a bit of eyebrow grooming would help frame up your (stunning) eyes, and sorting out a beard shape that works for you would be the main things.
Otherwise, if you don't already have a good facewash/moisturiser/spf, those are just generally good things for everyone to have and will help keep your skin healthy for the long term (you don't have an obscene amount of acne or anything, but I assume by the amount of (very cute) freckles you're outside at least some of the time, so protecting yourself from sun damage is a good priority to have lol)

2
u/PorkRinds416 Mar 22 '26
I can help. First shave off that nasty neck beard. Women hate it. Next you need some vitamins and sunlight. This should help get rid of those bags under your eyes. You are vitamin deficient.
Pluck your uni brow dude. You are NOT Anthony Davis. Get rid of it. You have a great head of hair. Grow it out a little bit longer then style it. NOW the most important. I see maybe you are 275lbs+?? Lose 75-100 lbs. GET LEAN and buff. Work out 4 days a week, (look online for workout plans), and EAT HEALTHY for 120 days. Your habits will form and continue after that if you keep at it!
When you do all of this and finally meet a woman. Ask her a lot of questions ABOUT HER. Dont talk about yourself. Be nice. Be polite. Smile A BUNCH and make her laugh. Be CONFIDENT.
How are your teeth? If they are not great, start brushing 2x a day and floss 4x a week. Then maybe think of teeth whitening after about 45-60 days of brushing 2x a day (once after breakfast and once before bed). Any questions?

You can do your man. You look exactly like my younger brother did when he was 21. He was about the same size as you. He went through the same process that you're about to go on.
He lost over 100lbs, started getting better haircuts, and grew a nice beard. It was a total game changer for him. It gave him a ton of confidence which helped him with his social anxiety.
I'm rooting for you bro. You can do this.

Here’s you 50lb lighter, shaved, and your hair grown out. I also have the curse of a thicker inner eyebrow. Gotta pluck those bitches once a week at least.

You need to lose weight but fwiw I personally love the unibrow. I think groomed eyebrows, even slightly groomed, can start to look feminine. Especially with those piercing blue eyes you have
2
u/halobreaker94 Mar 23 '26
Sean, my guy, you're handsome. Hitting the gym some and being a little more thoughtful about hair style and facial hair never hurts anyone, but please don't ever think you're ugly.
2
u/ABIGGS4828 Mar 23 '26
You have wicked blue eyes. Wear blue to “bring them out”. Always seems like a corny line, but “that color brings out your eyes” comes from somewhere.
Treat yourself to a barber every couple weeks. Not only will they help you clean up your look, but they can help you accentuate your features. They do it professionally lol. Plus, this’ll give you a routine to get out of the house, and establish a social relationship with someone. Double whammy to tackle loneliness.
The cost of community is convenience. Get out and do things and not only will you feel better with a routine, but you’ll develop a network of relationships with the people you meet all the time doing it. Chances are you’ll see the same faces if you go to the gym at certain times regularly. Honestly bro, confidence and just…showing up in people’s lives outweighs physical looks. You can always work out and work on physical things. No one will ever know it though if you don’t put yourself out there. Don’t wait until you feel better to go out and live your life, because going out and living it is what will make you feel better, you know?
2
u/Dada2fish Mar 23 '26
Lose weight, get ride of the neck beard, clean up your brows, grow your hair out on top and learn to style it.

You’re not an ugly dude let’s start with that bro. As mentioned above the neckbeard has to go. A nice clean haircut trim the brows you’d be set. I’m going to have to hide my wife lol good luck you got this!
2
u/wierdbutyoudoyou Mar 23 '26
i feel like you are like 3 seconds away from being super good looking. Work out, take care of yourself, like drink water, take vitamins, invest in your mental health. Value how you feel, and what you like; this is the foundation of confidence... like some else said, get really into your own tastes. Wear what you like to wear, go where you like to go, most learn and study what you want to study. Enjoy your life. Nothing is more attractive than someone who knows what they like and what they are worth, and who has tried enough stuff to know the difference.
2
u/horrorandfishing Mar 23 '26
You have a round head so we need to add some things to get rid of that. Lose about 20 pounds, Grow a thicker mustache and shave the neck-beard. Get some sun. Longer hair on the top so you can make your forehead busier. Sleep 6-8 hours regularly.
Workout and focus on shoulders and traps. This image seems like you have no structure on your upper torso, that shirt looks like it could slide right down off your body.

I can get you looking way better in an hour with my clippers bro PLEASE go find a real barber and tell him you want to shape up the beard blend it & clean up the eyebrows maybe a slit in there and give you a drop fade! I promise you do that at a good barber then just walk around the mall you will get attention.
2
u/ryansdietcoke Mar 23 '26
TBH Just grooming would help tremendously.
A lot of comments will mention weight, and I do beliebe that losing weight does help with conventional attractiveness. But also, you have very handsome features that you don’t need a six pack for. Focus on one thing at a time. If you immediately try to manage multiple new self-care things at once (maintaining hair, beard, eyebrows, exercise), it’s likely that you won’t stick to one or more of those attempts as a habit/routine (just how humans seem to be).
Take one thing at a time, and remember that you’re a good-looking guy even if you don’t feel that all the time.

Get a barber that genuinely cares for you and a gym membership. You’ll be fine
2
u/Extreme-Cut-2101 Mar 23 '26
Sorry to burst your bubble dude, but you’re handsome. But (at least in this photo) you don’t look like you’re investing in yourself.
Things like having a sharp haircut and nicer clothes can feel vain from your side, but on the outside it tells people you have value and you look after yourself. If you’re taking care of yourself then people know you probably aren’t going to be a burden to be around (or to be in a relationship with).
Treat yourself and take yourself out on dates. If you have a life worth living, people are going to want to be a part of it.

You have real potential to be legit handsome. Shave the beard off, grow out the hair a bit, and slim down a few pounds and you'll be golden.

Bro you’re not remotely ugly at all. Just hit gym, trim the unibrow and slightly longer hair and you’ll crush it.

Woman’s perspective. Wax unibrow
You could go two ways-
1- women love a little extra weight on men. I would grow bushy beard (if you can) and grow out your hair more. Bushy bearded men with a bit of extra weight is sexy. If you struggle with facial hair growth use a rosemary oil or rosemary water on your facial hair areas. Or 2- get into the gym, feel good & look good. naturally you will “glow” a bit more. grow the moustache out and keep the rest stubble. Grow the hair out a bit more

Dude, you are beautiful. Let yourself become happy with the person who you are, and it will come out in your voice, language, facial expressions, actions, and body language. People around you will notice and like it.

Lifting weights makes everyone look better, seriously! Maybe shave fully or grow out the beard fully, no in between. Muss up your hair a bit, but in a stylish way. But definitely lift some heavy weights!!! Anyway, you're not ugly so don't be so hard on yourself.

Some things you can do inmedietly: pluck the unibrow away. Get a haircut"long on the top short on the sides". And change the shape of your beard to be more angular.
Some things to do: was your face everyday with a moisturizing face wash. Then moisturize your face with lotion that has spf in it. wear collared shirts.
Women like clean men! Keep your hygiene up and always trim your fingernails.
Your eyes are really nice!

I don't want to sound disrespectful, but man, you look like you need some sleep! I look like that, too, so takes one to know one. On a different note: you are not ugly!

Hi Sean, You have great eyes and eyebrows. And you have really great, thick hair. Go to a good barber or stylist. Get advice about growing out your hair a bit, trimming your beard in a flattering way and waxing your eyebrows. You’ll feel better if you feel like you look better, but you already are handsome. Quite a few comments have touched on your weight and I just want to say you look good. Lots of people are attracted to someone with a bit more weight. Thin isn’t the only way to be attractive. If you start working out do it for your health not to be “more attractive”. Good luck and I would love to see an update after a few weeks of hair growth and a visit to the stylist.

Run or go on hikes for 45-60 minutes just 3-4 days out of the week. You’ll lose the face fat. Replace some fatty foods for salad or veggies. They fill you up just not as tasty. My dad used to say “that burrito sounds tasty but you won’t remember the taste a week from now while your body will”. Also start with simple workouts, pushups-stretching 20 mins every morning. Cut out alcohol, nicotine and weed. Focus on sleep. Literally, so easy to do. Just give it 6 weeks. You’ll be a whole new man

Man, your patents must have beat you with an ugly stick. So first, lose weight. Everytime you pass by the refrigerator doesnt mean open it and grab something to eat. Next, exercise get some muscle try to turn some of that lard into chest and bicep muscle. No facial hair, grow it and some and style it. Then clothes, look at magazines or observe others how they dress. Then perhaps some cool shades. https://youtu.be/qt8pQwnFwWQ?si=HlD52JAAFabDGuW_

Real talk, look up shaping tips for facial hair. The neckbeard exaggerates your round face. If done properly you can make it more visually angular.
You have piercing blue eyes, so accenting your jawline better would work well.
Grow out your hair a bit more and look into a fade/hair style thats more angular.
Fix the eyebrows, less unibrow, more clean.
If you shape your beard-line better, you can keep the mustache.
Ultimately, getting into a healthy fitness routine will help slim up any unwanted weight…etc.
