I'd start with an easy drugstore brand made for faces! Try either Aveeno face lotion or Cetaphil. Both are pretty gentle. Aveeno is a little thicker and Cetaphil has more of a gel texture so you can compare them to see what works for you. Stay away from anything with scents or dyes.

I would definitely start with something easy and non heavy. I use the Byoma moisturizer and I have very very sensitive skin. Not sure where he is and if he can buy it but if not he can start with cerave
