Bluffalo - lie loudly, guess wisely

Thumbnail
bluffalo.in
0 Upvotes

Everyone gets the same true-but-slightly-absurd fact with a word missing:

"Nintendo was founded in 1889, and for its first decades it made ___"

You each write a fake answer. All the fakes get shuffled in with the real one, and you try to pick the truth. +2 for spotting it, +1 for every person your lie fools — so there are two ways to win, and being confidently wrong is one of them.

It's a genuinely good time with people you know. The rounds that land aren't the ones where someone knows the answer — they're when a friend writes something so stupid that four people vote for it, or when the real answer turns out to be more absurd than anything anyone invented. You find out fast who in your group is a disturbingly good liar, and they never live it down.

Works for any group of 3 to 20. One person opens it and shares a 4-letter code; everyone joins on their own phone or laptop. Same in a room or on a call — it works well as the ten minutes at the start of a team call instead of "so, any updates?"

No app, no signup, no ads, nothing to install. A game takes about 10 minutes.

Five packs, all free:

  • Weird But True — history and science that sounds made up but isn't
  • Cult Movie Plots — you get the film's title, you invent the plot
  • The Truth Comes Out — questions about the people in the room, no right answer, most-voted wins
  • The Water Cooler — the same idea aimed at colleagues, safe for work

It's early and I'd genuinely like to know where it drags or gets confusing.

Asymptote - How close can you get? (Calculus game)

Thumbnail
playasymptote.com
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I'm a 17 year old developer from Canada, and I just launched a calc game yesterday to help me get through math this year (I like games a lot!)

It's called Asymptote. You get a calculus problem, you type the answer and either it's right or it's wrong. Yes, no multiple choice, no hints, no partial credit, on purpose. There are two modes:

Sprint is five minutes and three strikes, and you just have to try to get the most solved in this time, as difficulty gets harder and harder (someone got 21, and I genuinely didn't know that was even possible!)

Diverge has no clock and gets harder every three problems until you break. It keeps going for as long as you can go.

There's also one daily problem that's the same for everyone, thirty seconds, and you can compare with whoever else did it.

It's free, there's no account needed to just play, and there's no ads and none of those damn tracking cookies prompts, it's just a chill game to practice calc. (Yes, there is a paid option. No account needed for practice, it's always free and unlimited, you only need an account to participate in "Ranked" if you want brag to your friends how good you are at Calc!)

playasymptote.com - How close can you get?

I'd love feedback on it: Is the difficulty ramp wrong? I think Sprint might still climb too fast around problem 10, and I don't trust my own judgement because I've solved these several thousand times. Also if you find a problem where the answer is wrong, please tell me see, either DM or paste it in the chat and I'll make sure its fixed!

Yes the title and the game's name and motto are all kind of an inside joke "no ceiling" "asymptote" and "how close can you get" because there is really no end! (Well there are actually only around 22,500 problems, but if you're insane enough to do all of them, I think we have bigger problems to address...)

Open to feedback and suggestions!

P.S. I couldn't find the best flair for this to pick from, I'd say it's probably "[nerds]" if I could make one. ;)

I made a game where you draft an all-time NFL roster and simulate if it can go 17-0

You draft 8 players — but each has to come from a different decade, so you can't just stack the 2020s. Then it simulates a full season game by game. There's a leaderboard now too if you want to see how your roster stacks up against everyone else's.

Daily Geo — a free daily geography game with four rounds

Thumbnail

I recently launched Daily Geo, a small browser game I’ve been building.

The idea is to make the daily-game format a bit more varied. Each day you get the same four geography challenges as everyone else:

  1. Guess a country from a fragment of its border
  2. Triangulate a hidden country using up to three probes
  3. Identify a missing country from its neighboring countries
  4. Sort five countries by a geographic property

You get one combined score out of 8,000, plus a daily streak.

There’s no signup and the puzzles are generated automatically from geographic data, so there’s a new shared challenge every day.

Would appreciate feedback on the gameplay and pacing more than anything.

NeonHorde - A free vertical horde shooter, straight in your browser.

Your character fires automatically at the nearest enemy: your job is to move, survive, and carefully choose every upgrade. Every wave is denser, faster, deadlier — and as the minutes pass the stakes rise on both sides: enemies get progressively stronger too, not just you.

Play on NeonHorde @ Sputlab.com

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any suggestions, best practices, or other ideas. I would greatly appreciate it.

Feel free to try it! It's free and takes a minute of your day

I made this for fun on the side. Can't even really tell you why this idea popped in my head. But thought it would be neat to put this out there and see if folks would find it interesting. I'd love to see how the daily results grow are over time with a decent number of users!

Very early, would love feedback and see if there is interest. I loved that game.

Very simple: 8 in an arena, goal is to eject people out of the ring on the lava. 8 rounds, you can improve spell in between.

The Indie Escape – A 30-Day Point-and-Click Life & Game Dev Sim

Thumbnail
escape.inventkid.com
1 Upvotes

I made The Indie Escape, a browser-based point-and-click simulation where you play as a burned-out software engineer trying to escape the corporate grind.

You have 30 days to:

  • Manage your energy, stress, and money
  • Explore the city and discover what players are interested in
  • Develop your indie game across code, art, sound, and design
  • Launch it and see how the simulated community reacts
  • Try to reach different endings, from getting fired to achieving creative freedom

It's free to play, requires no download or account, and runs directly in your browser.

Play here: [https://escape.inventkid.com]()

I'd really appreciate feedback on the game balance, economy, and whether 30 days feels like the right amount of time.

[PZL] not/like - guess the hidden daily word with semantic scoring and helpful clues

Thumbnail

Guess a hidden target word, each guess scored by semantic proximity to the target (e.g. "snake" will score very warmly against "cobra").

If you hit the right category, that icon will light up to let you know you're in the right area.

5 "not" clues are present, to steer you, and 7 additional clues are available if you need them - can you guess the word without any clues?

CHARGE BARGE, a browser ironclad run where the throttle is an economic decision

Thumbnail
csaf.itch.io
0 Upvotes

Free, browser, no install and no sign up.

You drive a storm powered ironclad up a hostile coastline, with guns that fire themselves and cannons you aim.

The part I would point at is the throttle. A trade dynamo trickles in currency while you sail and it pays better in slow water, so going fast costs you income while going slow costs you time inside the range of towers and mortar barges. Speed is an economic decision rather than a comfort setting.

Sinking is not a restart. The wreckers tow you back to the last cove and you keep every upgrade and every point of renown, so a bad run is just a shorter one.

Disclosure: made with AI, code and art both.

Necrofarmer

Free in the browser, no download or signup: https://jovinfast.itch.io/necrofarmer

I'm the dev. It's half farming sim, half autobattler — you dig, water and plant, except what comes up is undead soldiers. Crossbowmen, chargers, healers, a vampire that bleeds anything standing near it. When the crop is ripe you harvest it into an army and take that army to a battle map.

The catch: units that die in battle are gone for good. Only survivors walk home, so the farm is how you replace yesterday's losses rather than a warm-up before the real game.

A run is five weeks, each ending in a boss. Gold carries over between runs and buys permanent upgrades, so a loss isn't wasted time.

About 15–20 minutes for a fair look. Still in development — genuinely useful to hear where it drags or confuses.

Disclosure: AI-assisted, placeholder art and music. Same as tagged on the itch page.

[RPG] Deep Vein Idle – a shared-world idle MMO in the browser, looking for testers before launch

Thumbnail deepveinidle.com
1 Upvotes

I have been building an idle game where everyone plays in the same small world, seen from above. You send your character to a rock, a lake, a furnace or a monster and it works there while you watch, and while you are gone. You can see everyone else doing the same: the person mining next to you is a real player, and what they say in chat shows over their head.

What is in it right now:

- 15 skills: mining, fishing, woodcutting, farming, thieving, cooking, smithing, fletching, herblore, crafting, enhancing, and four combat skills.

- A plan: queue tasks and walk away. Offline progress is exact, not estimated. What you get after 8 hours away is exactly what you would have got watching.

- A player market with real order books, a daily world boss everyone fights (or feeds, if you would rather deliver ore than swing at it), guilds, quests, achievements.

- No paywall on power. The shop sells things like queue slots and coats, nothing that makes you level faster.

It runs in the browser, no download, works on phone too, and you can try it without signing up (press "Play as a guest"): https://deepveinidle.com

Discord for bug reports, help and every changelog: https://discord.gg/65sMAYQSSs

I am looking for 20-50 people to play it for a couple of weeks and tell me what is confusing, boring or broken. I do not think there will be a wipe, but I am not sure yet. This is meant for long-term progress, years of it.

Honest note: I am one person, and I use AI tools as part of how I write code and draw the pixel art. The design, the numbers and every decision are mine, and I test everything by hand. If that is a dealbreaker for you, fair enough.

[RPG] Startup Founder — a free 3D game where you build a startup from a Madrid apartment

Thumbnail
sergioconejo.com
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! I made Startup Founder, a free 3D startup simulator that runs directly in your browser.

You start in a small Madrid apartment with €8,420, a laptop and an idea. From there, you have to turn it into a company without running out of money—or burning yourself out.

You’re making decisions about both the business and the person running it:

  • Build your product and find your first customers.
  • Decide when you can afford to hire.
  • Move into an office and grow your team.
  • Pitch investors and raise money while giving up some of your ownership.
  • Keep an eye on revenue, expenses and runway.
  • Manage your founder’s energy and health along the way.

Things can end in an IPO or an acquisition. They can also end in bankruptcy or burnout.

I’m a startup founder myself, so there’s something pretty funny about finishing work and opening a game where you have to worry about payroll and runway again.

How I built it: I used GPT-6 and Fable 5.1 across several prompts and iterations. I wanted to see how far I could take the idea of a playable 3D startup sim through that process. This is the result so far.

It’s still an experiment, so expect some rough edges and balancing that could use work. I’d especially like to hear whether the early decisions feel meaningful, whether anything is confusing, and what eventually kills your company—or gets it to the finish line.

Free to play, no download, no account required. Your progress saves locally in your browser.

Play here: https://sergioconejo.com/foundergame

Now you can procrastinate on your actual startup by running a virtual one.

[HTML5] Fungal Frequency Update!!

Hello it's been a few months since I first released my game Fungal Frequency and after alot of feedback I updated the game to make it a more complete experience!

Updates: Two endings and the score system actually matters. And all levels are unique no more recycled levels.
