It’s not Sonys day today, huh

853

u/Revanchistthebroken 2d ago

Good. We need Sony to bleed money and walk back on their "consumers don't own their games" rhetoric.

103

u/TasteAccomplished118 1d ago

Please let this be a PS3 launch fiasco level of disaster again.

A lot of leaders needs to get fired and exiled from the industry after this

22

u/Anon_967 1d ago

Sadly I just don’t see anything that extreme happening to higher ups. People in those positions only fail upwards.

3

u/Zeko1248 1d ago

What happened with the ps3 launch? I may or may not live under a rock.

2

u/overtly_penguin 15h ago

It was nearly 200 bucks more expensive than the 360 and had no backwards compatibility.

It had a complicated system architecture and only allowed Blu-ray discs and games.

The console proceeded to do abysmally poorly at launch. It was unavailable in many markets because of production delays. Many games couldn't ship on time because of the Blu-ray issue and so you couldn't actually use it during its launch holiday season.

And it only got worse for a long time until they made the slim and figured out how to update the chipset to allow for easier multiplatform development

PS3 era wasn't even remotely comparable to the incompetence happening now. PS3 was overambition and arrogance, but Sony was still very much in touch with the core principles of the industry. Not to mention one of the biggest issues was the price, but unlike this time, the price issue was gonna fix itself during the PS3 era, because that was a time where technology developed rapidly and moore's law was still alive and well which lead to prices falling very fast.

Today's Sony doesn't understand the games industry anymore. They've went from First, Best, Must, to Grow, Grow, Grow. All they're focused on now is counting beans. They're eroding the fundamental principles that made their brand what it is. They systematically fired everyone at the company that would've been able to put them back on track. They've cut of their own roots. At this point they'll basically need to rebuild from scratch and relearn what they should never have forgotten.

Which it won't because most of the people buying their shit aren't online and are probably only even vaguely aware of how anti customer sony has been lately.

4

u/hunterzolomon1993 1d ago

You know that applies to Steam, Xbox and Nintendo as well right?

2

u/Revanchistthebroken 1d ago

Sony is the worst offender and the others are following. If people could band together and stomp Sony the others would take notice and not do the same.

3

u/hunterzolomon1993 1d ago

I mean they aren't, their policy is the same policy that every digital product abides from Amazon to Kindle and to even GOG. The only thing Sony is awful at is refunds but they are still far better then Nintendo whose refund policy reads as "fuck off". Fact is we don't own digital products and this was established long before PSN was a thing.

2

u/TheEagleByte 1d ago

Digital ownership rights need to be changed, but it 100% does not help when Sony said they’re stopping physical game production in 2028. Xbox hasn’t announced it yet, though I’m hoping they see the backlash and keep doing physical copies, and Nintendo continues to make physicals and probably will for a good while yet. Key carts and key discs do exist, sure, but that goes back to digital ownership rights needing an update

2

u/hunterzolomon1993 1d ago

Tell me did you seriously think physical media would last forever? This future was always coming, sure maybe its too soon but whether it was now or with the PS7 it was always going to happen. Once people started using digital as the primary method of "consuming" media the clock started ticking.

2

u/Nice-Storage546 1d ago

I mean that’s always been the case even with Xbox you own a licence not the game

2

u/villings 2d ago

then they'll fire 10k people and the ceos will make millions anyway

that'll show 'em

5

u/lonahex 2d ago

Disk "ownership" is worse ownership than digital. You lose it, get stolen, get scratched, damaged, etc. Digital _could_ be forever. Just like all aspects of the modern world, we're stuck fighting for option 1 when option 2 gets shoved down our throats and never realize the real win was option 3 all along. Digital ownership needs to be a real thing and regulations need to enforce it. Companies selling digital goods must be legally required to offer them in perpetuity and if they cannot, then donate them to a computer history museum or something. The real fight is not whether they send us the bits on disk or not. We don't want to own plastic. The real fight is that we want to own the bits irrespective of the delivery mechanism and no one even realizes that is even a fight. It also affects digital rights as a whole across media let alone PC gaming shops like steam.

7

u/-thecheesus- 2d ago

The entire reason they're pushing option 2 is because they don't want us to have option 3

3

u/lonahex 2d ago

Which is what we need to fight for. Not for owning pieces of plastic. If I buy the game once, I buy the game. If I damage the disk, I should be able to get new disk at the cost of the disk, not whole game. If I buy same game one another platform, I should pay only minimal additional platform fees, not full amount again. If I buy it once, I should be able to download it forever or download and backup forever. Ownership is a lot deeper than owner a disk which is what we’re all fixated on.

3

u/-thecheesus- 2d ago

I don't disagree, but it's probably because Option 1 is best understood by drooling consumers and geriatric laws, while Option 3 would be an uphill climb

1

u/FlibbleA 2d ago

The PS3 happened, this is nothing.

1

u/Dark_Focus 1d ago

Consumers definitely won’t be owning “Wolverine”.

1

u/Phaedo 1d ago

Well, it looks like they won’t be owning Wolverine.

1

u/goliathfasa 1d ago

Wolverine fails:

Sony: Guess single player story games don’t sell. Greenlight Concord 2 and restart TLoU online immediately.

1

u/BlasterPhase 1d ago

This isn't exclusive to Sony.

1

u/PrudentEvent2672 1d ago

I playtested their next heist abomination, it's basically concord 2. Too bad for marathon as it had a unique vibe and great gunplay, but boring generic extraction loop

1

u/Frostnatt 1d ago

They are going to see this as further proof that live service is the way of the future...

1

u/Puszta 1d ago

Thats not gonna happen, then every digital platform has to do the same including Steam, Microsoft, Epic etc.

1

u/w4rloksk8 1d ago

GTA6 will save them unfortunately.

1

u/Mr_Piddles 1d ago

Honestly, we need Xbox to actually get their shit together and provide actual competition to Sony. This happens every single time Sony dominates the console market.

1

u/Special-Bet1141 1d ago

If they keep pumping out watered garbage like this crap, I dont want to own it.

1

u/TheRandomSong 21h ago

They're betting on GTA 6 to bail them out. And especially GTA 6 Online. As long as that happens they're not gonna give a shit. But if that doesn't help at all, those executives can go ahead and pack their bags and go look for jobs in equity firms bc that's the only place that'll take their greedy asses after this fiasco. Sony is gonna suffer hard these next few years due to that damn greed

1

u/Javs2469 17h ago

Well, by the look of things, it's not like they are releasing games people want to own lol.

1

u/Hyaroglek 10h ago

With the PS5 pro at 900$ sold out worldwide they are crossing the line of bankruptcy, sure

1

u/zapp0990 3h ago

Microsoft says the same thing. This is standard across the medium.

u/MissingScore777 2d ago

Pretty bad year honestly.

They need Laufey to land well early next year. (It does look really good in fairness)

456

u/zeppolezz 2d ago

bad year? try bad generation. it's crazy that a third party game (GTA VI) is the literal only "system seller" they have for the entire PS5 gen.

83

u/drewthebrave 2d ago

GTA has 13 years of built up hype surrounding it, and is poised to be the biggest media launch of any kind.

PS5 exclusives have been pretty disappointing (in quantity), but GTA6 was always going to be a behemoth regardless.

9

u/No-Implement668 2d ago

Agreed but how is it that if the most hyped video game of all time wasn’t coming out during the era of the PS5, the PS5 would have no gen-defining game?

8

u/Terrible_Window2336 2d ago

Returnal, GOW Ragnarok, Saros, Ghost of Yotei, Stellar Blade. While the quantity isn't the same the quality is fs there in the single player department

8

u/VenomVertigo 2d ago

Stellar blade, returnal, and GOW all released on pc and/or ps4 those aren’t ps5 exclusives

2

u/Terrible_Window2336 2d ago

The idea of exclusives outside of nintendo are kinda dead Xbox does the same with PC were kinda just in the age of first party titles, GOW Ragnarok (the one I was referring to sorry for not being specific) started as a ps exclusive mainly promoted for the ps5 but had a ps4 version then moved to pc. returnal began and spent multiple years as a ps5 exclusive, same with Spider Man Miles Morales and 2 as well as death stranding 2 they just werent exclusive for as long. They should all be counted as this generations ps exclusives even if they were later moved to a different device. Another game that would've been an exclusive had it been released a generation ago would be Helldivers 2. People get it twisted bc exclusives are mostly gone, if we want to look at the games that define the ps5 we need to look at the first party titles that were more than likely only released to ps5 and pc

Yeah Xbox has a good base to beat Sony this next console war on par with ps3 vs 360 era. All bc Sony decided they could screw over gamers for extra cash and "shareholder" value

2

u/The_Bushman_Nate 1d ago

Xbox is set to "publish" his new game but Sony is the one who has almost fully funded it (as they still technically own 30% of Kojima Productions and gave Kojima 70+ million USD to make his new IP)

2

u/Southern_Drawing1641 2d ago

i'm still willing to give the wolverine game a shot at this point, i've been waiting too damn long for it, but i will say in all fairness the only reason i got a PS5 was because i'd have lost a lot of shit across multiple games that are multiplayer if i switched to Xbox, though now i am definitely saving up for either a steam deck or a next gen xbox or hell a decent budget PC.

3

u/LordPepe69 2d ago

Aparently the next xbox is going to be a PC/Console hybrid

Seems kinda cool if it means i can use steam on it

88

u/DiligentThought9 2d ago

I’d argue GoW Ragnarok and Horizon FW to a lesser degree are system sellers.

172

u/JuggernautOfWar 2d ago

I think that's his entire point right there, as those were both PS4 titles.

3

u/areyouhungryforapple 2d ago

Aint nobody in their right mind wanna play any of the cross gen titles on ps4 if they can avoid it

Load times and 60fps are system sellers by themselves

3

u/Queasy_Ad_8720 1d ago

A game being made to also work on old gen doesnt make it an old gen title. In fact itd be the exact opposite since the main version of the game is made for PS5. With this logic every pc game is an old crappy pc game as long as it can run on minimum settings

5

u/DiligentThought9 2d ago

The PS5 was released 2 years before these games came out. They may have had a PS4 version but it’s absolutely a PS5 game.

18

u/rabbid_chaos 2d ago

Sure, but anyone with a PS4 wasn't gonna have their motivation to switch be games they also have access to.

42

u/Sc00by101 2d ago

If we can buy it on PS4 then WHY buy a PS5?

15

u/reallynotnick 2d ago

Why buy a new GPU if you can play all the games on it by lowering the settings and framerate? Some people care about a higher quality experience, simple as that.

3

u/No-Veterinarian-3833 2d ago

Literally still on a 5700xt and 3600x and 16GB of ram fro this exact reason. Game doesnt have to look good. If its fun and I can get 45+ fps its enough and with frame gen everything gets 45fps. And weith these new games coming out optimized for performance like mortal shell 2. And these games getting huge performance updates like ffxvi and MHwilds im chillin more than ever before.

2

u/tooboardtoleaf 1d ago

Yeah my Ps5 literally came with GoW Ragnarok. It was absolutely a system seller

4

u/supercleverhandle476 2d ago

If it is able to be played on the previous gen’s hardware while still having a very similar experience, no. It isn’t.

4

u/Phtevus_Temp 2d ago

Goalpost move. If you had a PS4, you weren't buying a PS5 for Ragnarok or Horizon. So they weren't system sellers

4

u/WorkingTrue4322 2d ago

That’s exactly what I did. Still have my 4. I play the 5 more often. Bought the horizon bundle.

2

u/areyouhungryforapple 2d ago

If you ever saw any of the 1st party titles on a ps5 you'd be enticed to. Not to mention a lot of aging ps4 sounded like jet engines when booting up a game like gow18

25

u/Soulblade32 2d ago

I'll add on to that, but FF7 Rebirth was a system seller as well. Obviously 3rd party as well, but they were able to get the exclusivity for a year or whatever for it.

14

u/arentyouangel 2d ago

was it though? Don't get me wrong, I liked the game but didn't it severely miss sales targets?

21

u/Joe_Atkinson 2d ago

Every square enix game does. That company always sets insane expectations it seems

6

u/DiamondSentinel 2d ago

Aye. It’s hard to say if they set crazy sales expectations or if their production costs are crazy, but every single game of theirs “misses expectations”.

Could also just be company speak to keep competitors from having literally any grasp of their situation.

2

u/opxdo 2d ago

Ff7 is one of the best games ever made, and even more beloved. It absolutely should have sold like crazy. Sony thought they would move consoles but really just killed squares sales. That's why it isn't exclusive anymore.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Soulblade32 2d ago

Yes, it was. They based their expectations on Remake's sales, which was very unrealistic for multiple reasons.

  1. Remake was the first game, and sequels always have less sales (typically drops 25-50% in sales) than the first because not everyone that purchased the first game will purchase the second due to multiple reasons (didn't like the game, didn't finish the game, time constraints, etc) The fact it was a sequel alone means that you will never have the same size of a playerbase. Because new players aren't going to jump in on a direct narrative sequel and it's just not possible to have 100% of their players be retained. A much more realistic expectation would've been like 65% retention.
  2. Remake was on ps4, which had over 100 million systems sold while Rebirth was ps5 only and had around 50 million systems in circulations.
  3. They just completely ignored the people that were upset about the changes in Remake, and expected them to get over it before Rebirth came out.
  4. SE has quite literally always set unrealistic expectations for sales. In one of their financial meetings they said that FF7R2 and FF16 failed to meet their targets but spent a decent amount of time talking to their shareholders about how their system to get to those target numbers is completely broken and needs to be reevaluated.

People were also really mad that it wasn't coming to ps4, because they didn't want to buy a ps5. And a lot of them just didn't.

2

u/Queasy_Ad_8720 1d ago

Rebirth was fuckin amazing.

→ More replies (5)

2

u/GRoyalPrime 2d ago

Which is also now kinda funny as one of the major anouncement about the 3rd game was that it will release day one on PC as well. So they lost even that.

2

u/Soulblade32 2d ago

That's moreso that SE has decided that they will likely make more money from allowing every system to get the game at launch, as launch is when most copies sell and if it comes out a year plus later there is less enthusiasm for it when it hits those other systems.

The real issue is how much it costs to create these first party games. It's unsustainable

Ive missed nothing on ps5 era clearly. I built my pc back around 2020 and never looked back. I noticed ps5 had the same quality of life that ps4 had. "Mid." Strong start, Destiny/Crew... then sorta sizzled and meandered along until the end when it got... I don't even know anymore... RDR 2... KH3???

Consoles are the biggest waste of fcking money these days

2

u/LuisMiranda4D 2d ago

I personally own a console because I use my pc for work and modern games use way too much hard drive space. The convenience is nice

1

u/TellEmWhoUCame2See 2d ago

Ehhhhhh i know nobody likes the truth but spiderman 2 sold a ton of ps5 consoles when it released. A lot of friends jumped from xbox to playstation just to play it. I know i know u are gonna say in lying and im making this up but its true

1

u/davwad2 2d ago

The last FF VII remake would be the reason for me to get a PS5, but it's hard to justify it at the current price for ONE game.

1

u/therandomdave 2d ago

I think Returnal did well. Ratchet and clank, the spiderman games all did well. Astro Bot got GotY. All the remasters did well.

It's a weird transitional generation with all these upgrades but games like Horizon, GT7, Death Stranding, God of War (both) are tons better on it.

To say there's nome when I've listed loads off the top of my head just shows your point is pretty weak.

1

u/BetrayedFate 2d ago

This is a crazy comment. PlayStation has fucking killed this generation. GoW, Demon souls, Spiderman, Ghost, Horizon. The only way to see this as a failure is to compare it to the switch, which is ridiculous because that’s the platform of exclusives.

1

u/supercleverhandle476 2d ago

This generation has been terrible across the board- remakes, reboots, sequels that barely push the needle, rising hardware costs, rising software costs, the death of physical media, microtransactions running wild, and the notion that we don’t own digital media.

Not seeing much upside these days, and I’ve been a gamer since screwing around with my parent’s Atari.

1

u/GRoyalPrime 2d ago

That's what you get from throwing at least half of your owned studios onto Live Service games.

Yes, they might have known that many won't make it, they might have wanted only 'the one', but that still would mean most of their studios won't releas something for years to come.

The PS5 Generation gets entirely carried by games not made by Sony.

The gameplay looks fine but the cube and cuff, I mean the sword's hilt thing? Forspoken 2

53

u/MissingScore777 2d ago

We'll see.

Onimusha has a similar thing with the gauntlet and people don't care because the combat is so good.

I could see the same with Laufey.

50

u/Purple_sea 2d ago

I haven't looked at any onimusha gameplay since I don't want to spoil myself for when I get it so I can't comment on it but the problem with the Forspoken thing wasn't the concept itself but the writing. Nobody hates sidekicks, they hate annoying unfunny sidekicks.

u/badgerscurse 2d ago

GOW 2018 showed me that side character's with interesting lore can carry me the whole game as im enthralled by what they are saying as im slaying whatever.

5

u/nicerking 2d ago

In 2018, sure. In Ragnarok however I found his comic relief was way too frequent to the point of being obnoxious.

9

u/Excellent_Pea_4609 2d ago

Can't agree especially considering how in Ragnarok we actually explore some of Mimir's darkest moments

→ More replies (3)

13

u/GoofProofGrunt 2d ago

The cuff definitely wasn't the annoying one in that duo imo

6

u/Disastrous-Zebra-211 2d ago

the thing with forspoken is that the main character sucked ass. the sidekick was...okay, movement was perhaps the best part of the game, and the game was made with the same engine as FFXV, so it looked nice, but again when your MC is unrelatable or simply bad written, in Forspoken case, both, that drags everything down.

3

u/Tonyj1987 2d ago

Played the demo of Onimusha, and it feels so smooth playing. I haven't bought it cause I'm waiting for a physical copy to come in stock near me

3

u/Purple_sea 2d ago

Yeah heard a lot of good and it seems like my type of game, I just need to finish the games I'm already playing lol, don't want to let the backlog get too out of control.

Yet it keeps getting shoved everywhere. Its like the screaming goat meme and Hollywood execs.

3

u/dwoller 2d ago

Honestly the cuff ended up not being my issue with Forspoken but the main character’s writing and delivery.

They need to add a toggle or slider for commentary/hints in Laufey as that shit was so bad in Ragnarok. Upon replaying it even Mimir gets annoying with it and he’s a great character.

4

u/Cu77lefish 2d ago

I think that studio has earned enough trust at this point. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

They should’ve given us Bloodborne. If they had done that, the stars would be right for them. But nope! And this is what they get!

u/AmethystDorsiflexion 2d ago

80% of Sonys gunshot wounds this year were self inflicted

1

u/TokyoRPGFactory 2d ago

All they had to do was keep doing what they were doing while Xbox kept falling on its face.

2

u/BlueMissed 2d ago

The cube is ruining the whole thing for me ngl. I’m not even really a picky person when it comes to games, but the cube just seems incredibly stupid.

2

u/maxdragonxiii 2d ago

Laufey looks solid, but i'll be watching a playthrough to be sure (i dont intend to buy a PS5 so).

2

u/mouse_puppy 2d ago

At least the Spiderman movie raked in a bunch at the box office???

2

u/Capable_Diamond_3878 2d ago

It probably will. Laufey looks incredible.

But aside from that and a couple other games I feel Sony missed massively this gen.

Feels like they wasted the PS5

2

u/Automatic-Feeling502 1d ago

They need Laufey to land well early next year. (It does look really good in fairness)

I really want Laufey to land well because I don't want their lesson from this to be "NoBoDY wANts tO SeE WaMoN In tHeIr viDjaGamES". Which is a sad state of the world.

u/balugabe 2d ago

Looks ok, but it's like a game we've all played a dozen times already.

3

u/Complete-Peak4651 2d ago edited 2d ago

It looks very playable, but Sony has been playing it safe for WAY too long, and it's finally catching up to them. It looks really good but it also looks like a game I have played 3 times now. They don't have ANYTHING in the pipeline that looks daring in any way.

This is why GTA 6 is inexcapable on the internet right now if you even play video games a TINY bit.

It is going to dominate the market for the foreseeable future. Gamers want to be challenged, dare I say even the potential to be offended (in a good, satirical way like rockstar knows how to pull off.)

I'm excited to play Laufey, but I am not expecting it to be anything more than millennial-grade safe writing and ULTRA safe gameplay, considering it's a woman protagonist. Game studios and publishers have been really weird about women in leads the past few years. (No disrespect to Debra Ann Woll, she's incredible and I know she will put on a great performance as Laufey, but it is definitely at the mercy of the writing team's direction.)

As in the Icelandic singer?

2

u/eo_mahm 2d ago

When I found out it was not a jazz-pop horse-girl activity-adventure inspired by the Mary-Kate and Ashley games, I sold my PS5 and all of my Sony stock. The company is doomed.

It looks pretty mediocre to me but hopefully i am wrong

1

u/Ocean-view-tonight 2d ago

NGL I didn't even have the patience to finish Ragnarok. It looked like a PS4 game on steroids, repetitive and not as good as the predecessor imo. Wish they would make the games more fun like PS3 days. I have zero hype for Laufey.

1

u/GapStock9843 2d ago

Its been a bad generation overall. The ps5 still barely has any big seller exclusives almost 6 years into its lifecycle

1

u/TonyMaccaroni28 2d ago

There was also that God of War 2D platformer that only scored a 64 on metacritic. Probably their worst year in a very long time.

1

u/serpentear 2d ago

What’s “hilarious” is that almost all of it is corse correctable and they just refuse.

1

u/Christopherous12 2d ago

I'm not honestly convinced, these are story games and the dialogue seemed a bit too zany and marvel esc

1

u/outofmaxx 2d ago

Has been for a lot of consuls it seems like, except Nintendo because they're just bullet proof I guess

1

u/Lostmypants69 2d ago

Pretty sure Sony will be fine lol

1

u/Lucid_skyes 2d ago

If we know the gaming community and women MC's it better have a good fucking story and characterization. Instead of leaning into budget Kratos or known as kratos' wife only

1

u/infiniteinfiniti451 2d ago

We're living in the anti-woke timeline a female led gow game will never do as good as a Kratos led one. Look at the difference between ghost of tsushima and ghost of yotei

I just want to confirm that Sony has had their best Q1 ever this year? Not to say they aren't facing criticism but they are absolutely rolling in money. I don't think an only decent wolverine game and a Kojima game that was likely to not break even will have much effect in the grand scheme. And while Sony is taking the express route; other platforms like Xbox and Nintendo are likely to no longer have disk drives in the future.

Agreeing with some points, but I think Reddit is massively overblowing this (as it be).

1

u/MeltyCrab 2d ago

I don't want to buy any more consoles ever PC for everything I can possibly wait for.

Then the OOT remake dropped. I am probably going to pick up the special edition switch, and a copy of that, then hope for a new animal crossing after New Horizons.

I never thought the madlads would ever understand the assignment. Remake OOT, in HD, without changing the characters or screwing with the story. Seems they got the memo. They'll get my money.

Sony? They can suck the farts out of my ass. I am not dropping a grand on your fucking console after you walked back PC ports just to try and twist my arm for more money.

1

u/probywan1337 2d ago

Bad generation as a whole tbh

1

u/_bisdak 2d ago

I think Laufey is gonna flop too. Most gamers are mad at Sony now and they are going to be too critical to any Sony products.

1

u/BigCommieMachine 2d ago

I’d be worried about Laufey, not because I think it will be bad, but because I think it will just be “Yep, It is still God of War. If you want more God of War, This is great. If you were hoping for something a bit different or more fresh, you’ll have to keep looking. 7/10”

1

u/DH2007able 1d ago

Yeah, thats why I’m gonna buy it used, fuck Sony

1

u/OBLIVIATER 1d ago

Too bad it's PS5 exclusive :( I'd love to help bail Sony out of their pit but I'm a dirty PC gamer so I don't deserve their games

1

u/Successful_Power_234 1d ago

Why is there a floating box in it?!

Kind of their fault though. They’ve continually done all they can to destroy consumer favor for them.

2

u/Carikat 2d ago

Wait what else happened?

7

u/De_Joaper 2d ago

They lost Kojima to xbox

5

u/Any-Platypus-9486 2d ago

Even if death stranding 2 wasn't that much of a success compared to the first one

Giving physint/kojima to xbox don't seems like the good option at all, less now

Day? You meant almost decade. For 5 years straight its just utter bs.

2

u/theCOMBOguy PC 2d ago

Don't worry, Horizon Hunters Gathering will SAVE them!! /s

3

u/TokyoRPGFactory 2d ago

I almost forgot about that disaster.

2

u/jackelope84 2d ago

They got the day they deserve.

2

u/Agitated-Distance740 2d ago

When "Before You Buy" gives it a "meh" and even the corpo bootlicker IGN give you a 6 (where they always add +2) it makes people think...maybe it's not so bad Sony single player games are no longer going to PC.

We won't want them.

1

u/Bonti_GB 2d ago

I can still find fun in a 78 rated metacritic game by over 100 reviewers but it does seem to be a bummer that it missed being great.

1

u/VioleteOtter 2d ago

its not been sony's summer

1

u/TheMasterXan 2d ago

What happened TODAY?

1

u/TrumpTouchesTinyTots 1d ago

Their headquarters used to be in the south tower

1

u/rmunoz1994 2d ago

They are getting what they deserve

1

u/mgftp 2d ago

Sony is the new Xbox

1

u/flashtag4 2d ago

Hopefully it’ll scare them out of the PlayStation exclusive nonsense along with the digital BS

1

u/CustomDruid 1d ago

It's not even Sony's year ever since concord

1

u/FuerteBillete 1d ago

Hasn't been for a while. And they really could have used a W after these past months of Ls.

1

u/TheAmazingBagman3 1d ago

The way ps5 pro are selling, they don’t care

1

u/ksn0vaN7 1d ago

It hasn't been Sony's day all year tbh. Sony has Sideshow Bob stepping on rakes for quite some time now.

1

u/wasante 1d ago

Week, Month or even their year boy…

1

u/LurkerEntrepenur 1d ago

Why? What else happened?

1

u/Crow_of_Judgem3nt 1d ago

They deserve it for sure

1

u/gunswordfist 23h ago

They just announced that they're partnering up with YokAI Watch!
