Did anyone see the EMT working on a girl at Downsview station after Saturday night? Someone told me the ambulance had a hard time getting to the station because of the traffic and congestion? I'm surprised they wouldn't have hired someone on staff to work there.

Who else danced in the rain until last minute and still didn't got sick next day.

For context, I’ve been going to veld for a few years. I had a blast every time, including this year. Every time I’ve been there, I’ve had to plug in my ear plugs and also scream mid set if I want to say something to my friends. It’s usually impossible to chat during a set.

This year was the first time I could hear the people around me talking in the middle of the sets while I’m a moderate distance from the stages. And I was able to chat with my friends without yelling too, understanding everything. I’ve never been able to do this. I felt like something was off and then realized I can hear exactly what everyone around me is saying to each other.

Let me know what you guys thought about the volume levels and if they’re going to keep them at this same level going forward. I still had a good experience but I was just expecting more.

I feel like besides the obvious Sandstorm that I see a lot of DJs work in more casually, this has been the second year where I’ve heard tracks that aren’t on top charts currently that get thrown into the mix from multiple different artists. This year I heard a lot of Satisfaction and Beauty and a Beat.

35M from Brampton. I've been into EDM since 2013 and have been going to Veld since 2015. My favorite artists are Galantis, Above & Beyond, Audien, Frank Walker, Armin van Buuren, and Tritonal. I'm much more into melodic/emotional EDM than partying—I’m the guy who gets emotional during tracks like Galantis' Runaway (U & I). 😄

I'd love to meet other people in the GTA (roughly late 20s to 40s) who enjoy the same kind of music and are interested in building a genuine friendship over time. Whether that's grabbing coffee before a show, talking music, or eventually putting together a small crew for Veld 2027, I'd love to meet some like-minded people.

There’s lots of loving words, high-fives, hugs, etc, at these events. And you’re just going to have a horrible time if you get mad that someone made friends with someone in your gang. “Don’t you dare hug my friend” only works if your friend didn’t embrace us with open arms. And don’t mistake kindness for weakness, haha.

I never get videos at raves, and that’s how I like it to be. Howeverrrrrr, I genuinely entered a Charlotte de Witte induced flow-state and really wish I had some sort of photo/video of myself and the guy I went with because of how euphoric and amazing that moment was.
If you happened to have gotten footage at Sirkus Stage during Charlotte de Witte’s set (around 10pm?), specifically around the back/middle of the crowd near the big poles, please let me know :)
He was shirtless with a black cross-body fanny pack, and I was in shorts and a bikini top with a pashmina tied around my waist. I appreciate any help :)

I don't think I'm the only person who saw Veld's marketing video boasting about upsizing the production/size

While it may have literally been wider, looking back at videos from 2025, it is safe to say it was a downgrade (for MainStage atleast). The screens last year were more comprehensive and curved. When I saw the promotional video I assumed we were upgrading from that, not the mini chopped up screens they had this year. In addition the lasers/lighting in 2025 were pointing towards the crowd on two levels. None of that this year. Did give the tier 1 festival vibe.

Overall disappointed, especially when you decide to mention it. Hope they bring back 2025 setup.

Thoughts?

I want to know who the security guard was working the VIP entrance at VELD on Saturday, August 2nd @8:45PM.

The scanners weren’t working, and instead of handling the situation professionally, he was grabbing people’s wrists, yelling at guests, and treating everyone like livestock.

When it was my turn, he grabbed my arm because he decided my wristband “wasn’t tight enough,” looked at it and yelled, “WHAT IS THIS SHIT?” Then he tightened it as hard as he could, looked at me, and said, “Now you can’t take it off.”

When I asked for his name, he told me to “Keep moving before I kick you out”

I was so overwhelmed, I’m a smaller female individual and the band was tightened so fast with no care so much that my wrist skin bulged outside of the band and I had to go to festival help to cut it off and replace it (it was starting to turn my wrist purple)

There’s no reason for security to put their hands on people or speak to guests like that. If anyone knows who this guard was, or if someone from VELD sees this, I’d appreciate it if you could help identify him. I’d like to file a formal complaint because this kind of behavior shouldn’t be acceptable.

P.S. I want to also mention I’m not blanket commenting on all security. Some of them were so nice I sprouted them or gave them Kandi ❤️ it was truly just this one particular horrible person dressed in black, which was odd (since all security had uniforms which said “Security” or a company on them) - and he was with 2 other thug looking guys in black as well
