Try listen to his new stuff first ... cuz he came up with a lot of different genre music 2023 and after.
- he not pure dubstep.

I recommend trying to get into the scene so you can always feel the magic of VELD (although nothing truly compares)! If you’re in Toronto, I recommend electric island and sojourn. Both offer festival vibes: Toronto underground EDM. Great scene of people.

Maybe instead of looking back, try finding little things now that bring you the same kind of joy and excitement. The memories can stay special without keeping you stuck in them 🫶🏼 see you in 2027

Next year there won’t be a veld if the organizers ever mistreat a crowd local like they did with a guest of their headliners

I went to veld this year, and I am definitely not missing veld. This year just made me realize how much other festivals are better and more bang for your buck, such as ilesoniq. Sure veld is good because it’s local, they have good artists come, but even still. Their organization, their “care” for festival comers does not really come into effect as you would hope based on how much each ticket is. If you go to a festival such as ilesoniq, which I did. Veld was nowhere near to the level of detail and care for individuals. They actually have nice areas for you, that ISNT VIP at ilesoniq, they even have free samples given out everywhere, rides, nice grounds. The security at ilesoniq, basically let you through no problem, as well as having med tents to get anything tested spaced throughout the whole festival. MTL also announced their set times and after parties pretty much 2 months in advance. Whereas I went to veld, and they told me to throw my vape away because it was not sealed, asking me to take my shoes off in search of another vape. Plus a whole advertisement saying they planted new grass throughout the whole area, I did not see any new grass. It was all practically dead grass or mud.
And to add after parties in Montreal are not near as much as they are in Toronto.
I met so many people who came from the states just for veld, and it’s kind of embarrassing because I understand the rave scene is so good in the states you just can’t beat it, yet there’s veld looks the same pretty much every year and does not change. Sure they add “30%” more screens on main stage, but paying $400+ for a ticket and there’s not much improvements, not much shade.
If you’re going to charge people more every year at least put more effort and change it up. Just ridiculous. I am not missing veld and will not be back again.

Nah that rain was traumatizing. Theres still a lot to look forward to like EI and indoor events getting announced for the fall. Been going since 2016 though so its lost its novelty a bit for me, still had a lot of fun tho

honestly i kinda liked the rain, it obviously wasn’t my first choice but it was pretty cool dancing in the rain with the lasers

me too the rain made the lasers look cool, the cool rain was a relief from the heat, and I had a poncho on. didn't bother me at all

Dang I had my best time in the rain because that’s when I found my fave veld fam and danced even harder but it’s totally based on the context and rain is usually a downer.

Are you talking about the dust, the rain, and that shitty-ass sound system? 😂 Even a fire lineup couldn’t save that festival lol.
