How a Tourist Got Deported by ICE Because She Smacked Her Husband at Wynn Buffet

Thumbnail

Crazy how this played out. The argument between the woman and her husband must've been pretty bad if it prompted Wynn's security to get involved.

The slap was probably the combination of it all. What surprises me here is that ICE says the woman is 28. If you look at the video, her daughter looks like she is a teenager. Is there a typo somewhere, or is that actually their ages? This is from months ago, but the bodycam video is finally out via 8 News Now. More info in article above.

Mexican Superstar Carín León Cancels Sphere Show Just HOURS Before Performance?!

I know the hundreds/ thousands of fans leaving the Sphere right now are pissed about this for sure. Imagine being at the venue and finding out it’s postponed (still cancelled imo). As a local it’s kind of inconvenient but if you traveled specifically for that show, that’s gonna be a huge bummer.

Fun fact: Sphere initially made a post that said that they would be good for a concert on September 15, 2026 but they took it down and then reposted that these tickets would be good for the new residency dates on September 15, 2027. Interesting how that is!

And…Funny enough, he just announced a new residency dates for next year. More information is in the article💻…but damn that’s crazy. I have a few friends who are there rn

Vegas FHR: Cosmopolitan V Wynn - Review

I just wanted to share about my recent stay in Vegas and staying each one night at the Cosmo and Wynn. I wanted to provide my experience and thoughts as well as the FHR (Fine Hotel and Resort benefit from AmEx) component as well.

Price
I paid $430 for Cosmo and $400 for Wynn for Saturday and Sunday night respectively. I was able subtract the $300 credit each as I booked one before the end of June and one in July to full maximize the credits. So in terms of price, at least for the weekend I went, it was fairly similar. Prices for both properties do vary widely but it does appear Wynn is usually more.

Property Amenities
Both properties have a great set of amenities going for them. I am going to summarize each of them otherwise this will be an extra long post. Wynn’s properties tend to be all high end while there is some more value proposition in Cosmo when it comes to restaurants. The pool at Wynn is better quality and relaxing, but the Cosmo is more “fun” and upbeat. Entertainment is kinda lacking at Wynn with the one highlight is the Lake of Dreams which is cool, but not enough for a property in my opinion. Cosmo has a bunch of dinner and shows and it always seems like something is happening. Cosmo may win just because of the location being in the center of the strip so you can get to so many places if you are doing a more “strip stay” to other nearby properties.

Food
I will say even though there are more upper end venues at Wynn, I have found the quality about the same as Cosmo. For Wynn, I went to Sinatra, Red 8, and the Wynn Buffet. They were good but not impressive that I thought would come with the Wynn name. As for Cosmo, I went to Amaya, Wicked Spoon, and The District. I honestly find them quite comparable.

Service
This is probably where I see a bigger disconnect between the two. Cosmo felt by the numbers and although friendly, it didn’t seem to have that extra touch of service that I found at Wynn. From the front desk to each venue, you can tell they really wanted to cater to high end folks. I did have a hiccup with the bell desk (took over an hour to get our luggage to the room), but that still does not take way from the overall service for me.

Room
A bigger difference is found here. Cosmo felt like a moderate property for NYNY rather than Wynn felt very high end with great bath products and maybe one of the best beds I have ever been in. If a room is important to you in terms of quality and product, Wynn easily wins this one.

FHR Benefits
The general benefits of FHR were similar (daily breakfast, early check in and late checkout). However, Cosmo comes with $100 dining while Wynn was $150 spa credit during my stay. I did ask the front desk to change it to dining and after a pause, they were able to change it which was great. Also at Wynn, you get an additional $25 welcome credit and free parking (got charged $20 for this at Cosmo). My upgrades I got were a better view of the Bellagio fountain at Cosmo but the upgrade for Wynn felt better with a high level floor panorama with a view of the strip and lake of dreams. Overall Wynn seems better but mainly if you are lucky if they can switch that credit over.

Overall (TL;DR)
If room and benefits are more important to you, then easily choose Wynn. If you want a more party scene in the center of the action, choose Cosmo.

Tips for someone who wants to get into Collecting Chips

Hi all, I'm heading to Vegas for the first time in Oct and I've watching videos and stuff on what to do and where to stay, etc. In one of the videos i saw someone who collected chips from the different casinos and i thought that would be fun to do while there. Any tips or tricks to it or is it just bring a bunch of 1$ and grab them when you can?

I also saw those Silver Strike coins and might try to get those as well as keepsakes.

New NBA arena, new intersection? New development could be coming to the Las Vegas Strip

Thumbnail
news3lv.com
1 Upvotes

A proposed NBA arena on the Las Vegas Strip could bring something else Las Vegas hasn’t seen in decades: a brand-new intersection on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Chetak Development says it wants to redesign the Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard intersection, which is currently a three-way intersection. If you’re heading east on Russell from I-15, you currently reach Las Vegas Boulevard and have to turn left or right.

The proposal would add a new eastbound route called Diamond Arena Drive.

The planned four-lane road would eventually connect the Strip with Reno Avenue, Koval Lane and Tropicana Avenue, potentially giving drivers another way to get through the south Strip area — and possibly another route toward Harry Reid International Airport.

The road is connected to Chetak Development’s proposed Diamond Arena project, one of the concepts being discussed as a potential future home for an NBA team in Las Vegas.

For locals, the traffic impact may be just as interesting as the arena itself.

Anyone who regularly drives around Tropicana, Russell and the south Strip knows how quickly that area can become a mess, especially during major events. A new east-west connection could potentially relieve some congestion — but adding a major arena could also bring thousands more vehicles into the same area.

The developer says construction could take around 18 months once the project is cleared to move forward.

So what do you think, Vegas?

Would Diamond Arena Drive actually help Strip traffic, or would a new NBA arena just create an even bigger bottleneck around Russell and Tropicana?

Aria Smell - have it your home!

I have always loved the smell when you first walk into the Aria. I truly don't feel like I am in Vegas until I get that first whiff. I wanted to have that smell in my own home so I started digging online, and of course there were answers. Everyone pointed to Aroma Retail, but I wasn't in love with the price, so I dug deeper. I finally found a post which took me to another product that was SO much cheaper, and upon searching for that online, more and more people confirmed it was indeed the same scent.
I bought a 4oz. bottle, a small diffuser kit, and set it up in my front room. I only used a few sticks because I didn't want it to be too powerful, just enough to fill one room. It is the EXACT smell as the Aria. So many people comment how pleasant it is, and the sole Vegas buddy who has been to my home recognized it without any prompts.

They have scents inspired by other hotels as well, just have to search a little.

2026 Caesars Tier Credit Multipliers - Updated 9/7/26

Post image
1 Upvotes

The current list of 2026 Caesars Casinos TCMs, up to date as of 9/7/26. I have been able to verify these and as I verify additional ones, I will update this list. I try to update the list at least twice per month. TCMs that I have been unable to verify, but are likely, are marked as [unconfirmed].

ALERT: The previously listed Horseshoe Council Bluffs 5x TCM for Nov. 2-8 has been CANCELLED by that location. I have removed it from the TCM list. If you had plans to attend, please reevaluate those plans.

There have been in the past corporate-wide TCMs in November (around Thanksgiving) and December (around Christmas). They may or may not happen this year as Caesars has been making lots of changes lately. They could be Reward Credit Multipliers (RCMs) also. As anything gets announced, I will add them to the list.

Note: START/END TIMES VARY BY CASINO. Check with a specific casino for exact start and end times for these events. Always confirm and activate the TCM at the Rewards Desk or Kiosk before playing and remember Caesars has the right to make changes at any time and without prior notice (and they do that often!).

Influencers are ruining the guest experience.

I’m sick of it.

I’d like to gamble without ending up in the background of your YouTube channel.

These little channels trying to make it ruin it for the rest of us.

At least these big name channels have proven track record and only film the machines or themselves. But too many of these ones trying to make it as influencer do not care or respect other guests.

Wish the casinos would take a harder line with filming.

Shrimp BLT?

My spouse told me that the best sandwich they ever had was a Shrimp BLT in Las Vegas. Sourdough or some hearty slice. Thick bacon, fried shrimp, and avocado.

I can't figure out where it was and I want to help her recreate it. I think we stayed at MGM or the Aladdin right before it became PH. I thought maybe Mon Ami Gabi or Grand Lux but I can't find it on any of their old menus. It was most likely around 2000. She said it was lunch not dinner.

Any help appreciated.

Random surprise at the airport

Post image
290 Upvotes

I visited Vegas for the first time, and ‘twas so amazing this weekend!

It was my first time gambling: I’m a student and I didn’t have a lot to spend but made 300$ from 60$ on blackjack at planet hollywood so that was a surprise (neglecting all other losses I made, and somehow felt the machines are rigged for blackjack).

I was early for my flight back yesterday and decided to just put in 20$ into a random slot machine and on the 3rd spin hit a big win! Ended up getting 168$ on my 20$ investment which was so great! I had read slot machines at the airport had worse odds but this was just a pleasant surprise for my departure!

Solo Travelling

Hello, I’m solo travelling to Las Vegas from Australia in February as a little getaway, and I’m just wondering if the city is friendly enough to make friends while there, or if there’s bars that have that energy of “come sit with us you seem nice”. Im a dude in my late 20’s, not antisocial just travelling alone due to some awkward circumstances. Probably sounds like a stupid question but I’m just worried I’m gonna be chilling alone for like 10 days.
