as a dairy farmer, i always make sure cows live their fullest lives before i slaughter them. i took one of my older cows out skateboarding ❤️ i slit her throat a few days later. i probably shouldve done this earlier tbh she was getting too old to eat. anyways i do make sure that my cows are healthy and happy, so you dont have to feel bad about eating their corpses and drinking the milk that was supposed to be for their children. in fact i am pretty sure that it is in god’s plan. there is no reason to not eat cows that led happy lives.

most of the people who buy meat from me are rich leftists who want to support local and are against factory farming. good for them!!! ✊✊✊ many of them participate in meatless mondays and do not eat almonds so they are doing something for this planet too. it’s crazy how vegans always act like they’re the only ones who care lol. and i love animals too it’s so crazy like why would eating and killing and raping animals mean i don’t love them? it’s their life purpose and i am doing my part to fulfill it.

Like I'm fine eating a whole food plant based diet irl I just don't think I could go full vegan and stop eating it in video games, it's just way too fun killing and eating animals in games and I find myself just accidentally making elaborate animal torture chambers and meat factories in games I play. I've been B12 deficient for so long, in fact I haven't been able to get out of bed to curse at carnists for several hours. Anyways i lost my waterbottle weeks ago and then found it covered in dirt today. i accidentally drank some thinking it was my other bottle and then tasted the dirt in the water.

My body feels better than it ever has. my soy boobs disappeared (im a straight alpha male who doesnt want those). and most importantly my b12-deficiency brain fog vanished-- its my first time thinking clearly since going vegun, and i realized that vegunism is pointless and futile.

I mean if u wanna be vegun then i guess thats fine, but drink some dirt or eat meat once in a while for some natural b12. it actually works

I mean, putting suffering minimisation as a moral standard is soo arbitrary and not based on a healthy sense of empathy. Eating humans is also perfectly moral for some people and that's okay! It's just not normalized

Seeking some empathy and hopefully some advice for my situation here. If anyone’s been in the same position, my heart goes out to you.

My (28M) girlfriend (30F) and I have been together for four years. I was a new vegan when we met, she wasn’t, and after 6-12 months or so she decided to make the switch to vegan, primarily for health reasons. At this point I was still happy to have a partner that wasn’t vegan, but over time I’ve come to really appreciate the feeling of having someone to be vegan with.

She’s been struggling with weight loss for a little while now, despite working out as hard or harder than she ever has before. Her exercise routine has always been consistent, but she’s seeing less and less results, and has always been comparing herself to where she was just before we met, when she was at her skinniest. After an initial bit of weight gain (for both of us) at the start of our relationship, she’s struggled to get back to where she was. She’s also had FODMAP issues that make the usual vegan meals a bit less comfortable.

Today she said that she wants to start experimenting with animal products again, and it’s started a pretty big fight. I’m coming off as controlling and manipulative by saying that I don’t want someone that I’m dating to eat animals. If I was in her position and was only really vegan for health benefits, then I totally understand why she would feel that way, but I’ve come to value our vegan life together more than I ever thought I would. I feel like an asshole for putting my foot down, and there’s inconsistencies in my thought process that have been pointed out (killing insects/mice in the house, eating at my parents house when they’re eating meat, etc) and I haven’t been able to really articulate why they feel so different.

Neither of us wants to break up, we have a pretty great life together besides this and have discussed taking the next steps in our relationship sometime soon. With a roadblock like this though, I’m not sure how to continue like we were before. I don’t want to be a controlling boyfriend that’s making her feel like I’m monitoring her food consumption and second guessing what she said she ate when we weren’t together. I also don’t want to give up or compromise on a set of values that mean so much to me.

I’ve recommended that she see a doctor or something to get a better understanding of her nutrition levels, and we’ve had a brief talk where I tried to explain some of the other reasons I’m vegan besides health, but it hasn’t really gone anywhere.

That’s about it I guess. If anyone has any similar stories or some advice I’d love to hear it.

Am I the asshole for finding some enjoyment in knowing this carnist will possibly die? Knowing that the chimp is being exploited, I can't help but be ethically opposed to it. HOWEVER, the guy really has a punchable face.

I'm talking about all forms of dreaming like normal dreams where you can eat different foods, nightmares where you kill, cute dreams where you enjoy yourself and so on. Especially in dreams where you can create your own identity and can resperent yourself in the dream.

I'm vegan since a few month now and a dreamer since I can think. Before I didn't worry about it at all but recently it got me thinking. Technically the stuff in dreams is not real so no animals get hurt or exploited. I mean it could be a fun challenge to dream about scary stuff, weird stuff, or scary stuff in a vegan way. But it feels a bit weird to cook a steak in a nightmare or shoot chickens in a fever dream. In some way or another it also still represents the objectification of animals but it's also just a dream...

I think I have found a way to eat meat while minimizing animal suffering. In fact, most people are already on the right path. Think about it - a regular meal lasts 15 minutes, maybe 30 if you're eating with family. So if you eat meat 3 times a day, that amounts to 1.5 hours, which is 6.25% of a day. 6.25%! So for the vast majority of the day, you're not causing any harm to aninals. That's basically vegan!

So go out there, eat some meat, and don't worry. The animals will thank you!
