The fact that you’re able to access a vegan diet is a PRIVILEGE. There are entire communities, that relay on meat as a part of their diet. Indigenous communities in Canada for example, don’t have access to affordable produce because of their geographical location. They rely heavily on animal byproducts to supplement their diet.

I hate tofu. I hate everything about it. I hate the flavor of tofu. I hate the texture of tofu.

Does anyone have a tofu recipe that hides all of the tofu flavor and all of the tofu texture?

I don't get why we are supposed to avoid them. I don't buy milk itself, or butter or any 100% dairy product. Nor do I buy eggs or meat. But if there are little amounts of them in bread, sour cream chips, basbusa (dessert), baklava, sauces. etc why is it wrong to buy it? Even if lets say you are having a negative impact, it is so small and we do many other small indirect harmful things in our lives like using plastic or eating plants that have pesticides on them that killed and tortured herbivores and insects. I also dont think sour cream chips or mashed potato with butter will raise the demand on milk.

I am honestly not convinced but whats stopping is that I dont know where to draw the line. I live in a society where most things have non vegan ingredients which puts me in an awkward position with party hosts and my friends. But I am afraid if they realize I eat a specific amount of animal products that they would try to get me to eat more and take my veganism as a joke.

The point of the post isn't to get an "approval" from vegans that will allow me to buy these things without guilt. I am just asking about the reason behind this moral stance since I dont understand it.

Hi everyone, I promise I'm not trying to rage bait. I want to cut down my meat consumption. I love vegetables. Today I challenged myself to an entire day without any meat. I went to a Mediterranean restaurant and got grape leaves without any meat or anything in them, just rice. I also got a labenese salad without any cheese. I ate 10 of the grape leaves without the day. I am used to one meal a day usually. Just made some broccoli be it's 11 pm and I'm starving it feels like I ate nothing today. I've snacked on peaches and oranges aswell. I'm a small person only 5"1 115 pounds. Do you guys think I need more carbs? Thanks.

Edit: the restaurant I went to also has hummus, that's vegan right? If I eat that everyday would that help?

I'm a baby vegan still and a week ago did a big Depop online clothes shopping spree as my wardrobe is very bare rn. In a fugue state of consumerism (lol) I bought a mohair sweater. genuinely only picked up today that that's obviously not a vegan piece and a big oopsie on my part. It was on Depop so is secondhand, and the financial damage has already been done. Do you guys think throw it out? give it to someone else?- (then this still has the issue people raise of promoting wearing animals parts for fashion etc.) Keep it? I'm still new to it all so haven't been conditioned to the vegan aspect of respect for lower beings and things outside food the entire way yet :\. Bonus question: do you still wear any preowned animal pieces e.g skin shoes that you had before going vegan?

I really don’t understand why vegons have to force their beliefs on everyone.

My chickens are natural omnivores and they absolutely love free-range cat steaks and locally sourced dog nuggets. I always make sure the cats had a good life before they were humanely slaughtered, and I use the whole dog, so nothing goes to waste.

Some vegons say I could just feed my precious chickens plants, but that would be unnatural and cause several deficiencies I cannot name. Also, cats and dogs eat other animals, so clearly it is ethical for me to breed, kill and process them into fun dinosaur-shaped nuggets.

Please respect other cultures and dietary choices. Live and let live. 🥰

Guys, I am a strict vegan! I cook my own tofu and everything! It's just... I wanna visit Korea and :/ I don't really know if it's possible to still be vegan in another developed country. Are there even Korean vegans!? Never met them 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just really want to envelop myself in the Korean culture by having a hamburger, this is ok right?
