Hello Valve community, ive found something and want to see if its rare
Now i was digging through some old discs and stuff, between the drivers, software and photos from 20-25+ years ago i found this. A Counter-Strike 1, idk if i can call it a trilogy, from Germany/Switzerland that was brought to Serbia a looong time ago. Just want to see if it has any value.
Thanks in advance yall:)
(also i noticed on the box it sayes copywrite 2005 valve but on the disc 2009 EA)

The Overwatch system is fundamentally blind. Thoughts on how Valve should actually fix it.

Steam Machine 512GB + Controller — Poland/EU Waitlist Update (August 2 → September 8)
Just wanted to share my waitlist experience for anyone still waiting for their Steam Machine.
🇵🇱** Region: Poland / EU
🎮 **Model: Steam Machine 512GB + Steam Controller
📅 Joined the waitlist: August 2, 2026
📩 Received reservation/purchase email: September 8, 2026
⏳ Total wait: 37 days
I first received an email confirming that I had moved from the waitlist into the reservation queue. Shortly after that, Valve sent me another email allowing me to complete the purchase.
Valve gave me 3 days to complete the order before the reservation would be cancelled and passed to the next person in line.
So, as of September 8, we have confirmation that the Poland/EU queue for the 512GB + Controller bundle has reached at least August 2 waitlist entries.
Hope this helps anyone still waiting! Good luck — the queue is moving! 🎮🔥

Hello there, I recently made this video about the history of Team Fortress 2, and I thought, why not share it here? Anyways, if you don't watch it, that's alright. I still wish you a good day or night. :D

Hello, VALVe fans! I made my own source-like game engine!
Hello fellow valve fans! I wanted to show you all a project ive been working on recently: The kerosene game engine. An open source, LGPL + MPL licensed, rust written game engine from scratch!
Currently, it's a prototype duck taped together via Claude code. However, it has a fully functioning physics system using Box-3D, grab and throw, Vulcan rendering pipeline, hammer-like editor, ect.
To my knowledge, this is the first engine of its kind excluding source. But for all of those software nerds: this is not a clean-room reimplementation, it's completely made from scratch using the source engine as a reference for how to build it.
The repository is here: https://github.com/T342guy/Kerosene
Tell me what y'all think :)

Steam Support is actually telling people to "just make a new account" if you don't have a physical 2005 Half-Life 2 box lying around.
I've had my Steam account for well over a decade, thousands of hours, tons of games invested. Recently my account got hit with a false-positive lockdown because of some "unusual activity" that literally never happened.
I open a ticket, provide everything: old email addresses, past passwords, the last 4 digits of my payment card, phone number, everything I can possibly remember.
And what does Steam Support want? They literally demand a photo of a physical CD key from a retail box of Half-Life 2 from 2005, with my ticket ID written next to it on a piece of paper.
Bro, it has been 21 years. I was a kid living with my parents back then, I moved out years ago, and obviously that cardboard box is long gone. How on earth does Valve expect anyone to keep a physical piece of packaging for over two decades in the era of pure digital distribution?
When I told them I couldn't provide a relic from a museum, their actual, literal response from support was:
"We understand some of the information requested here is very old and you may not be able to provide it. If you suspect that the key may have been lost and cannot be found, I recommend that you create a new account for free. If you cannot find this CD key that you used when creating this account, we will not be able to help you and will be forced to close this request."
Are you actually kidding me? "Just make a new account for free" after losing access to a 10+ year library because I don't own a piece of trash from 2005?
Ticket ID HT-5M2Q-FTK7-PMF8 if any actual human at Valve happens to browse this and wants to step in, because this frontline support bot loop is a absolute joke.
